Northern Colorado Springer Spaniel Club January, 2015 Dear Cocker Field Trialers: The Northern Colorado Springer Spaniel Club cordially invites you to two spring cocker field trials, Thursday and Friday, March 5 and & 6, 2015. At this time, we anticipate holding the trial near Weld County Road 37 between Weld County Roads 16 and 18, just a few miles east of Fort Lupton, Colorado. The cover that we will use for the trial will be grass and weeds. Both trials will be Open All-Age and will be limited to Cocker Spaniels. The trial on Thursday will be judged by Bob Iversen and Tom Hartman. The trial on Friday will be judged by Trent Bosse and Greg Johnson. Both trials will begin at 8:00 a.m. The trial headquarters is the Best Western Firestone Inn and Suites located at I-25 and Exit 240. The phone number for the motel is 720-494-1925 or toll free 800-528-1234. Please ask for the discounted rate for the Northern Colorado Springer Spaniel Club which is $10 off the regular rate. The regular hotel rates are $89.99 plus tax per night for one queen, $99.99 for one king. The suite and doubles discounted rate is $99.99 per night for two queens or for a mini suite (one queen and a fold out sofa bed, but roomier). A hot breakfast is included. If more than ten rooms are booked, everyone gets a $5 discount. Be sure to mention the Northern Colorado Springer Spaniel Club to get our discounted rates. The headquarters motel does not allow dogs in the rooms but there is an area to air dogs behind the motel. Other motel options are 1) the Super 8 Longmont-Del Camino, 303-772-0888. Dogs are allowed in the rooms if they are not left unattended. 2) Quality Inn, 303-684-6779. Dogs allowed in the room for a $15 fee. Rates are $74 a night for a king or two queens. 3) Travelodge Inn, 303-651-6999. Dogs may be allowed in the rooms. Please call. One queen is $71, one king or two queens is $81.29 and 2 queens with a pullout is $99. These hotels are approximately 15 miles from the grounds.
