ENTRY FEES (US funds): TD Test = $65.00 Entry Fees include a $.50 AKC Recording Fee and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee. Fees must accompany all entries. An original Certification must accompany all TD entries. No Fax, Email, or any other electronic entries will be accepted. A $30 fee will be charged for any returned check. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event. ENTRANTS are responsible for errors in entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors. ENTRIES MUST BE ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS WITH AGREEMENT ATTACHED. CERTIFICATION (TD ENTRIES). With each TD test entry of a dog that has not passed an AKC tracking test, there must be filed an original statement dated within one year, signed by a person who has been approved by the AKC to judge a tracking test, certifying that the dog is considered to be ready for such a test. (AKC Tracking Regulations, Ch.3, Sec.2. Certification.) A DRAWING FOR PARTICIPANTS will be held on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Ferndale Library, 2125 Main Street, Ferndale, WA 98248, to determine which entries will participate in the test. The drawing will be random among entries received. Preference will be given in the TD Test to dogs without an AKC TD title. All persons submitting entries are invited to attend the drawing. Test worker Option: At the draw, three (3) tracks will be set aside per Chapter 1, Section 17d. Test worker is defined as a person who worked at a CDTA tracking test in the 2017 calendar year. When the advertised limit has been drawn, an ALTERNATE LIST will be drawn. The alternates will be advised of their positions on the alternate list and given an opportunity to be at the test site in case of absent dogs.
Alternate entry fees & TD Certifications will be returned unless the alternate actually participates in the test. Entry fees will also be refunded to any confirmed entry that does not participate in the test, provided that the Test Secretary is notified by March 2, 2018 and provided that an alternate entry participates in the test as a result of the withdrawal. All entrants will be notified of the results of the draw by the Test Secretary. The DRAWING FOR THE ORDER FOR THE RUNNING OF TD TRACKS will be at 7:30 AM at TEST HEADQUARTERS on Sunday, March 4, 2018 (see directions below). The first track will be run as soon thereafter as it has aged the proper length of time. In the event of any absentee(s) among the confirmed entries, the next alternate, in catalog order, who is present, will be allowed to fill the vacancy. BITCHES IN SEASON may participate. The Test Secretary must be notified that a bitch is in season prior to the drawing for tracks. The dog will be given the last track and will not be allowed in the tracking area until just prior to running her track. In the case of more than one bitch in season at the test, a second draw for the last tracks will be held immediately after the first draw. By their presence at the Sites, all exhibitors and spectators agree to abide by AKC Rules and Regulations and to follow the instructions of the Tracking Test Committee and Judges. While all care will be taken to insure the safety of both people and dogs, the Chuckanut Dog Training Association, Inc., the Tracking Test Committee, the landowners, their employees and their agents assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any dog, person, or property on the Sites or loss, damage or injury to any dog, person, or property traveling to or from the Sites. ALL DOGS WILL BE KEPT ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES IN ANY AREA OF THE TRACKING SITES. Exhibitors see: AKC Tracking Regulations, Ch.1, Sec.21, Dogs Running Free. Dogs not actually participating will go where instructed. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs and for keeping the Sites clean. AWARDS: A green rosette and a framed copy of the dog s track will be offered to all dogs passing a TD test. Refreshments will be furnished on the morning of the test. A no-host lunch will be held following the tests, at which AWARDS will be presented to dogs passing a TD test. From North: I-5 to Exit 236 - Bow Hill Rd. Exit. Turn RIGHT (west) at stop sign. Go about 1.5 miles and turn LEFT on Ershig. Go down the hill and over railroad tracks. Turn RIGHT on Worline. Chuckanut Farm is the second dairy on the left. Look for brown building and sheep in field. Please park in brown building s lot not on the road. From Whidbey Island: From Hwy 20, turn LEFT on Farm To Market Rd. Turn RIGHT on Sunset. Cross Chuckanut Dr. At next stop sign turn RIGHT on Worline Rd. Chuckanut Farm is the first dairy on the right.
