Kennel sponsorship began as a way for supporting businesses and individuals to share in the success of the Edmonton Humane Society. This is a recognition program that allows our supporters to have their gifts publicly recognized in a special and unique way. The Kennel Sponsorship program has grown exponentially over the past years as more and more individuals and businesses choose to publicly identify themselves as supporters of the Society. Not only are you helping an animal, but you also assist in offsetting the daily care for the companion pets that reside there throughout the year. All kennel sponsors will be recognized on 7.75 x 3.75 signage (as below area in white) that is customizable for logos, photos and wording. EHS reserves the right to refuse any kennel card application, or to edit for length and content. Kennel Sponsorships may: Promote a business Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, Christmas or event Commemorate an adoption Memorialize a person Memorialize a pet
Those kennel sponsors that choose to support animals in the adoption areas are highly visible to the visiting public. Others that choose to support animals in holding or hospital areas are not as visible. These animals are being evaluated by our medical and behavior departments to prepare them for adoption. We have frequent tours of holding areas for various members of the public. In addition to the kennel signage within the shelter, all of our kennel sponsors are recognized on our website, in at least one newsletter distribution per year and in our Annual Report. You will also receive a complimentary Edmonton Humane Society Friends for Life Calendar in the fall. By sponsoring a kennel you make an incredible difference in the lives of the animals that temporarily reside at the Edmonton Humane Society.
