Veteran Class For Dogs and Bitches, 7 years of age or older on the day of the show. Champions may compete, if they are within the age limits. Neutered dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry in Veterans Classes at Independent Specialty Shows. Saturday Herding Titled Class, Dog Herding Titled Class, Bitch Veteran, 7 yrs & Under 10 yrs, Dogs Veteran, 7 yrs & Under 10 yrs, Bitches Veteran, 10 yrs & Older, Dogs Veteran, 10 yrs & Older, Bitches Sunday Veteran, Dogs Veteran, Bitches Any undefeated dogs that have competed in the show only in additional nonregular classes may compete for Best of Breed. AKC champions of record may be entered in these classes. Best of Breed Competition For dogs that are champions of record and dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owners records. Award of Merit (Saturday - 7; Sunday - 4) The Judge may give Awards of Merit at his or her discretion up to the number available for that day. This award goes to Border Collies in the Best of Breed competition that the Judge feels were worthy of final consideration for Best of Breed. Dogs that are awarded Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog, Select Bitch, Awards of Merit, and Best Bred-By-Exhibitor on Saturday will receive qualifying certificates allowing an entry to be made at one of the next two (2) Crufts. Best Bred-By-Exhibitor Competition (Saturday) For winners of the Bred-By-Exhibitor Dog and Bitch classes Best Veteran Competition (Saturday) For winners of the Veteran Dog and Bitch classes Best Puppy Competition (Saturday) For winners of the Puppy 6 to 9 Dog and Bitch classes and Puppy 9 to 12 Dog and Bitch classes

Classification Conformation, continued Non-Regular Classes multiple dog entries (Saturday) Stud Dog Class* - For Stud Dogs and at least two but no more than four of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The Stud Dog cannot be shown as the Get of another Stud Dog. Owner of Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Get only to be judged based on merits of the Get. Each dog making up the Get must be individually entered in one of the regular classes, Best of Breed Competition, or a Non-Regular class (other than Stud Dog) at this show. Brood Bitch Class* - Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. *Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a neutered male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed female may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. Brace For two dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in the brace class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in any other class. Dogs comprising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for Brace Class only. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as Brace Class. Classification Junior Showmanship Novice Junior Class For boys and girls at least 9 years and under 12 years of age on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Intermediate Class For boys and girls at least 12 years and under 15 years of age on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Senior Class For boys and girls at least 15 years and under 18 years of age on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Notice to Exhibitors The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this event, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. The Border Collie Society of America may cancel this event in extreme weather conditions. Entry fees will not be refunded if the event cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, fire, and act of God, public emergency, an act of public enemy, or any other causes beyond the control of the organizing committee. Since bitches in season are not allowed to compete in AKC Obedience or Rally Trials, the club will refund all but $5.00 of the entry fee per day for bitches unable to compete for that reason. The Event Secretary must receive written notification by letter hand-delivered, emailed, or postmarked at least 30 minutes before the trial commences. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. There is a $25 returned check fee. No refunds will be issued for overpayment of less than $10.
