POLISH YOUR PERFORMANCE At the close of Saturday s trial, exhibitors may practice in one ring of their choice for 8 minutes for $10.00. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the front table, exhibitors may sign up for a novice, open, or utility ring. Exhibitors must sign up in person and pay at that time. Each exhibitor may use the ring of their choice once for each dog, entered in the trial. Entries will close when the number of dogs entered in each ring reaches 18. SELFIES! On Saturday and Sunday there will be a backdrop and decor which exhibitors may use to take photos of their dogs.
TRIAL LOCATION - The Kane County Fairgrounds (#1 on map) is located at 525 S. Randall Road, 40 miles west of Chicago and midway between IL Routes 64 (North Avenue) and 38 (Roosevelt Road). Randall Road has exits from I-90 (north of the fairgrounds). From I-88 (south of the fairgrounds), exit at Orchard Road and head North. Follow Orchard for 2.4 miles and turn left (North on Randall). There is no charge for parking. No overnight parking will be allowed. No dogs except those properly entered at this trial will be allowed within the trial precincts. All dogs must be on lead or crated at all times. Warm-up must be done on lead. It is understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Exhibitors and spectators are expected to keep the show grounds clean. Please pick up after your dogs. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Transfers (move-ups) in Obedience and Rally will be accepted provided the next level class and judge is available, and the class has not reached its limit. The request for a transfer must be made in writing and presented to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. All owners of mixed breed dogs must first obtain an AKC Canine Partners listing number before they may enter an AKC event. The dog s breed name should be entered as All American Dog. The dog s listing number must be entered on the entry form and the AKC number checked. Conditional, unsigned, incomplete, telephoned, faxed, or telegraphed entries cannot be accepted. Entries without fees cannot be accepted. Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to the close of entries. Changes which are received on the telephone are unacceptable. Entries mailed overnight must waive recipient signature, or they will be returned. Entries will not be accepted without fees. Returned checks do not constitute valid entry fees and are subject to an additional service charge. All entries must be on a signed AKC form with the AKC agreement on the back. Entries on an invalid form will be returned. Refunds of $3.00 or less will not be issued, due to the cost of processing. Entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date or when classes close, whichever comes first, for any reason but the following: Bitches who come into season, after the closing date or when classes close; may receive a refund of entry fees less a $5.00 administrative fee by sending a signed statement from a veterinarian, to the Trial Secretary by 8:30 a.m. the day of the Trial. There will be a limited number of catalogs available at the trial. If you would like a catalog, please pre-order a catalog by checking the box on your entry form and including an additional $4.00 with your entry and fee. Please be respectful to others and turn cell phones off or put them on vibrate. No use of a flash is permitted, if taking photos during the judging of any dog. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Entries will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee or, if because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete this trial. The Fox Valley Dog Training Club and their Trial Secretary assume no responsibility for a wrong entry. Exhibitors are advised to print or type all unusual words when filling in entry forms. No dog wrongly entered in a class may be transferred to another class after the closing date, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the AKC Rules and Regulations. No entry may be cancelled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Trial Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made in the sex of a dog. No dog may otherwise be transferred to another class. Owners are responsible for errors in the entry forms, regardless of who may make such error. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS For awards in both Obedience and Rally, there will be only ribbon prizes. The exception for this, is a gift to be presented to all Rally Novice A exhibitors and to all Obedience Beginner Novice A and Novice A exhibitors. Dogs are not required to be at the trial until the scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter unless required for further judging. The owner/handler is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when the class is to be judged. Conflicts between rings should be discussed with the judge prior to the start of the class. JUMP HEIGHT All classes requiring jumps will be arranged in jump height order (low to high, beginning with lowest jump). Entries will be run in catalog order on Saturday and on Sunday. SATURDAY ONLY - TEAM RALLY NOVICE CLASS Offering the non-regular Rally Novice Team class for teams of any four (4) dogs. One entry form must be completed for each dog, and all four (4) forms must be mailed to the Secretary all together. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury, or damage to this dog.
