I want to thank the trial committee: Chief Ring Steward Anne McPherson, Property Chair Bonnie Davis, Hospitality Co-Chairs Randee White and Vickie Roberts, Judges Hospitality Chair Kristin Brooks and Trophy Chair Jill Hootman. Thanks to everyone who pitched in. Thanks to the C Match ring workers: Francie Delony, Mary Dowden, Pat Thorne, Cindy Franks, Debbie Cutter, Cheryl Tisdale and exhibitor Diane Dittrich. Thanks to Bonnie s Friday setup crew members Anne McPherson and Marie Hardin. The hospitality was wonderful all weekend. Ring stewarding was very appreciated by the judges. Jill delivered ribbons to each ring multiple times both days. Bonnie kept up with all the property duties of setup, monitoring the facility, teardown Sunday afternoon and bringing all our equipment back Monday morning. Kristin made our judges welcome. NDTC TD TEST It was my pleasure to be able to judge the NDTC tracking test today at the Hermitage. We had a perfect tracking weekend - plotting day was dry, and test day, we had lovely cool, cloudy weather with no wind. All the prayers to the tracking Gods worked (or was it those bunny ears, Bev?) We had seven really, nice working dogs work their tracks. Four successfully found their gloves - Randee White s Basset, Ricky, just rocked their track, followed by a Cocker Spaniel from GA, an Eng Springer from TX, and last Jeff Whitsitt with his Belgian, I don t know all the names of those who brought food and helped tear down. If I have left out anyone, let me know! You all contributed immensely. Thanks! Kay Ford, Trial Chair Many thanks to Anne, Kay, and Marie Hardin for helping with set-up on Friday; to Kay, Anne, Jessica Newman, and Marina Caro for help in breaking down the jumps and packing them up, then re-setting the rings after the show on Sunday. Many, many thanks to Vickie and Randee for the great meals, especially getting there early and getting the coffee going! That breakfast casserole certainly hit the spot. Bless Allison, Sharman, and Cheryl Tisdale for the great desserts! Bonnie Davis Thanks to everyone already named. But I would like to add thanks to Marina Caro for doing a great job as trial secretary. And after having worked all day both days, she stayed to help us get the rings back in order on Sunday afternoon. Anne McPherson Sky, who ran another perfect track. It was wonderful to see all the different breeds, and those that didn t pass did a really credible job and will pass soon. ;-) I d like to thank the club for all of the support they provided for this test to make it run so smoothly. I ve been on the helping side before, but I was so appreciative of all the work once I was on the judging side of things and I knew the club would attend to every detail. (continued on page four)

Thanks to Deb Cutter, our chief tracklayer, who kept all the tracklayers organized and kept an eye on all the tracks for us while laying her own track as well. Huge thanks to all the Stinky Feet Tracklayers: Carol, Deb, Jill, Janiece, Dawna, and Bev, who came out for two days to plot and then lay track on test day. And to all of the countless members who supported the test, Debbi Martin who drove us judges and got us where we needed to be, Vicky who helped organize the gallery, and Alison and Cheryl for the wonderful cookies and breakfast breads. And for everyone who brought the amazing food (that breakfast casserole was fabulous, as was the chili and soup!) And lastly, thank you for inviting me to judge - it was one of the best tests I ve judged for, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch all the hard work come together for an amazing group of dog and handler teams!
