Entries must be made on an official American Kennel Club form, signed by the actual owner or a duly authorized agent. Entries will be acknowledged and a judging program will be e-mailed or mailed no later than February 24, 2016. A drawing to determine running order of dogs will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 05, 2016 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This drawing will be conducted by the Trial Chairman and/or Trial Secretary and shall be completely at random from all entries received prior to closing or filling of entries, whichever was reached first. There is parking available at the site but in the event of rain the ground could become too soft for large vehicles. IMPORTANT We are using a P.O. Box for entries this year. Replacement value of sheep is $150.00, ducks $35.00. Requests to move up must be given to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Herding Committee. The Louisiana Capital City Obedience Club, Inc. and Wonderdog Farms will exercise reasonable care for the safety of all exhibitors and dogs, but neither the Louisiana Capital City Obedience Club, Inc. nor Wonderdog Farms will be responsible for loss or injury to any dog, handler, handler s children or property. By entering this event, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all of the requirements safely. Bitches in season shall be eligible and will run at the end of the class in testlevel classes and in catalog order as listed in the class in trial-level classes. Bitches which appear to be heavily in whelp and unfit to participate are to be removed by the Judge for their safety and health. Dogs must be ready for judging. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the arena gate when it is their turn to run. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the arena. Dogs must not be allowed to harass resting sheep. At the option of the handler, dogs may wear a simple well fitting buckle, snap lock or slip collar in tests, or run on any trial course without a collar. Electric, dummy electric and prong collars are not permitted on the grounds. Handlers may use crooks or stock sticks of fiberglass or wood construction not to exceed five and one-half feet in length. PVC plastic pipe is not permissible in the arena. Please pick up after your dog at trial site and hotels. Anyone seen not picking up after their dogs will be asked to leave with no refunds. Nearest concessions are about 5 miles from the trial site. Well water is available at the site. Coffee and snacks will be offered in the morning. Lunch will be available at the show site for a donation. Bottled water will be sold while supplies last. Bring your own drinks Limited shade is available, so bring tents if you need shade. Each duck run will consist of five Mallard, Call, Khaki and/or crosses. All sheep and ducks to be used for the tests/trials have been worked by multiple breeds of dogs upright and low down dogs. Duck runs may be limited. CLASSES OFFERED Competitive runs will have priority over Exhibition Only & Instinct testing. Trial runs will have priority over Test runs. TEN Alternate Entries will be accepted. ALTERNATE ENTRIES In the event that the entry limit is reached prior to the closing date, a list of alternates will be established. Alternates for each class will be listed in the order of receipt of the entries. Alternates will be notified of their positions on the alternate s list at the time that the judging program is mailed to each entrant. Those alternates that do not run or do not have the opportunity to run shall have their entry fees refunded. Alternates must run in their respective classes if present and if provided with the opportunity to run. In the event an accepted entry is absent on the day of the test, it shall be the responsibility of the Secretary to determine if alternates are present and to determine, by their position on the alternates list, which of the alternates shall participate. Entrants on the alternates list must check in with the Trial Secretary no less than 30 minutes before the commencement of their class. LIMITATIONS OF ENTRIES These tests/trials are limited to a combined total of fifty (50) runs per day. Duck runs may be limited to 20 runs per day. Herding Instinct testing registration will be the day of the trial and will only be done if the limit of runs has not been reached. Entries close Friday, February 05, 2016 at 5:30 P.M. Entries cannot be accepted, canceled, or substituted after the closing date and time. Exhibition Only entries and Herding Instinct Testing Entries can be entered in advance or up to show date. Entry is limited dogs nine months of age or older (6 month for Instinct) that are registered with The American Kennel Club and are listed as eligible to compete on the AKC web site: http://www.akc.org/events/herding/eligible_breeds.cfm Please obtain a current list of eligible dogs from the AKC web site. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. Entries will be cancelled in the event that entry fee check(s) are returned due to insufficient funds. No entry fees will be refunded if the tests/trials cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing, e- mail or telegram to the Trial Secretary prior to close of entries. No changes will be made to entries by telephone. DIRECTIONS TO THE TEST/TRIAL SITE From New Orleans - Take Causeway Bridge to north shore and stay on Hwy. 190 heading north about 7 miles. Hwy 190 will narrow and make a 90 degree turn to the right on to Hwy 21 North East. Stay on Hwy 21 going NE for 6 miles from the last traffic light. Turn right on Cleland Road and go 1.8 miles. Take a right on Fauntleroy and go about.3 of a mile to the property with the rust colored wooden fence. From I-12 - Take Hwy. 190 Exit 63 North towards Covington. Go through Covington on Hwy. 190 to Hwy. 21. Follow above directions. The site will be available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no room available at the site for overnight camping.

AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that the Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline and the Regulations for Herding Tests & Trials have been made available to me (us), and that I (we) agree that the Club holding this Herding Test or Trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the Herding Test or Trial and of the opportunity to have the dog tested or judged and to win ribbons or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the Herding Test or Trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this Herding Test or Trial, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons. I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value in the event of death of any livestock by my (our) dog. In case of any injury to any stock caused by the dog entered, I (we) will assume total responsibility for any damage. I (we) agree to pay the full market value of the injured animal in case of serious injury, or the veterinarian bill if the injury is slight.
