BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed or Variety competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record, or Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the day of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owners' records. Winners of the Veteran Dog and Veteran Bitch Classes may also compete in the Best of Breed Competition, provided that they are undefeated in any Regular Class at this show. GRAND CHAMPION SELECT At the judge s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog, and Select Bitch. Dogs eligible for Grand Champion competition are Champions competing in BOB, move-ups to BOB, and Champions that win Non-Regular classes and become eligible for BOB. Altered or spayed CH veterans are eligible at independent specialties. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are not eligible. AWARD OF MERIT One Award of Merit offered for every 3 Champions entered in Best of Breed Competition. BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR Chosen from the winners of Bred-By Dogs and Bred-By Bitches. Must be handled by a breeder in the Best Bred-By competition. If a BBE entrant is chosen BOB or BOW, then it is automatically awarded Best Bred-By- Exhibitor. NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES Stud Dog Brood Bitch STUD DOG CLASS, for Dogs that have sired two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The Get is to be judged, not the Stud Dog. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be the owner of the Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and be shown in the ring with his Get. BROOD BITCH CLASS, for Bitches that have whelped two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The Produce is to be judged, not the Brood Bitch.
