RE: Charitable Donation Request Dear Animal Lover & Business Professional, I am contacting you on behalf of a remarkable annual charity event called SNIFF 2015, presented by, an all volunteer Arizona 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping reduce euthanasia of companion animals in Arizona through free spay/neuter. In Maricopa County, two spay/neuter surgeries will save the life of one shelter animal. In other words, $130 will not only fund two surgeries but will also save the life of a companion animal waiting for its forever home right here in our community. On Thursday, November 12, 2015, will host a fabulous evening of wine tasting and socializing at the private in Scottsdale. Now in its fourth year, SNIFF will be attended by a demographic that includes supporters who enjoy this after-work cocktail event and who bid generously on unique and upscale auction items. SNIFF events have become so popular that our 2014 event sold out two weeks early. This is truly a fun and worthy event, and we hope that your business will help us raise funds by donating merchandise which can be sold in one of our auctions, or through a monetary donation/sponsorship which can help underwrite the cost of the event. Spay/neuter has been clearly linked to a 65% reduction in euthanasia over the past 5 years and a 24% reduction in fiscal year 2013 alone. How does funding a spay/neuter surgery save a life? Phoenix-based data analysis reveals a 90% correlation between each spay/neuter and a corresponding decline in Maricopa County euthanasia rates. It actually makes perfect sense: Spay/neuter activity lowers the number of animals entering shelters, and that in turn lowers the euthanasia rate. As a result, every surgery we fund measurably impacts a life saved. In fact, the data analysis shows that for every 2 spay/neuter surgeries, 1 life is spared. Tim & Nala s SNIFF story. We met Tim happily waiting in line at a World Spay Day free mobile spay/neuter clinic funded by SNIFF donors. Tim spent 18 years serving in the US Army and was honorably discharged after an injury left him deaf in one ear. The experience left him battling severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for the past decade. Nothing seemed to alleviate his PTSD stress and symptoms. Until a stray dog named Nala made a powerful impact on his life. Since then, Tim had wanted to enter Nala into a VA program that certifies veterans animals as social therapy dogs. But, the 9-month certification had one requirement he couldn t afford: the animal must be spayed or neutered. Now, thanks to Nala s free spay surgery, Tim will be able to finally enter her in the program so that they can give back to the community.
