Turn left into the Expo Center. From TX-130 (toll road): Take exit for U.S. 290 toward Austin/Houston. Go east on 290. Turn left on Decker Lane, then go south 3.5 miles to the site. Turn left into the Expo Center. From Hwy. 71, take FM 973 north to Decker Lake Road. Turn left and go to Decker Lane. Turn right, and then turn right into the Expo Center. From the east on U.S. Hwy. 290: Decker Lane is about 3 miles west of Manor and the first left after crossing TX-130 (toll road). Turn left, then go south 3.5 miles to the site. Move-ups: Move-ups for the first day of the trial will be accepted in writing prior to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017. Send email move-ups to trialsbylotus@gmail.com. Move-ups for the subsequent days of this trial will be accepted no later than 30 minutes after the completion of the trial on Friday and Saturday on forms provided. Per Chapter 1, Section 20, exhibitors may show up at the trial site and request a move-up in writing to the trial secretary not later than the day preceding the event. Also, A dog which has been entered in a Novice A class for which it is not eligible to be entered in due to class restrictions on the dog or the handler may be moved to the Novice B class under the following conditions: The request for the move must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. The request must state the reason and justification for the move from a Novice A class to a Novice B class.

Height divisions Regular Exhibitors may choose to enter their dog in a higher height division than required by AKC but not in a height division lower than that mandated by AKC. Preferred These jump heights must be used in all Preferred classes: Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height divisions. For dogs measuring 8 4 11 and under at withers 12 8 14 and under at withers 16 12 18 and under at withers 20 16 22 and under at withers 24 20 over 22 at withers 26 N/A Dogs may be entered at this height at owner s discretion. Dogs eligible to enter: This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number. Approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds are eligible to participate. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word dog is used in these regulations, it includes both sexes. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Puppies under four months of age are strictly prohibited from the trial grounds. RV PARKING INFORMATION Please contact the Expo Center staff upon arrival to make payments for your RV space. The Expo Center's Rate Schedule is as follows: $35/night for RV parking with hook-ups (Lot A) $20/night for all RV parking without hook-ups (all other lots, including Handicap spots) If you are NOT Handicapped you may not park in this lot. For anyone arriving after hours, the on-site Expo Center Security Staff is available 24 hours a day and should be able to assist you with any issues concerning the water/electric hook-ups. NO DUMP SITE: The Expo Center no longer has an RV Dump Site. Other Local Dump Sites are available at McKinney Falls State Park (12.5 miles away, 5808 McKinney Falls Parkway, 512-243-1643, $5/person park entrance + $11 to dump) and the Lone Star RV Park (22 miles away, 7009 S IH-35, 512-444-6322, $15 to dump). The other option is to call Superior Septic Service, 512-244-6300, about $40 for a 30-50 gallon tank. Attention, volunteers!!! Notice to exhibitors Choke collars, pinch collars, prong collars, electric and dummy electric collars are prohibited on trial grounds. Collie Club of Austin and Travis County Expo Center assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Collie Club of Austin and Travis County Expo Center and the Trial Secretary have no obligation or responsibility for locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Exhibitors are responsible for picking up after their own dogs. A clearly marked exercise area will be located near the show barn. All dogs present must be on leash or confined to crates when not being judged, except when in the designated warm-up areas. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all the obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In that case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, extreme weather, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate and legible information on their entry forms; illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered in the show. If the entry form is photocopied or faxed, the agreement on the back of the form must also be photocopied or faxed and attached to the entry when it is mailed or faxed. Entry forms cannot be accepted if they are unsigned or if they specify any conditions as to its acceptance. No refunds for duplicate entries. However, care will be taken to find duplicates before processing. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors. Checks that have been returned due to insufficient funds do not constitute a valid entry and will have a $25.00 service charge attached. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete or be on the trial grounds. For bitches in season, entry fees minus $10.00 per day will be refunded if a vet s certificate and written notification is provided. The Trial Secretary must receive written notification no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the first class of the day of the trial. Collie Club of Austin reserves the right to decline entries for cause and may remove any dog on account of aggression, disease, deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No one shall have any recourse or claim against Collie Club of Austin or any official thereof.
