Specialty Trophy and General Donation Fund Trophy Sponsorships, along with General Donations are the lifeblood of any successful event. Your support of our PHCA National Specialty will allow us to continue our work on behalf of our beautiful breed! It is only through your generosity that we are able to fulfill our primary objective; a national event that is fun for our attendees and our dogs; memorable for good times and comaraderie. Our General Specialty Donation Fund helps our club to offset other costs for the event, including those costs associated with our judges, our show site, food and beverage and other expenses. There are many opportunities to help in supporting our National Specialty. Please visit our online store that identifies the awards listing and payment details at: https://www.freewebstore.org/2017-phca-national-specialty Our National Specialty Awards Banquet Fundraiser Auction Raffle Rescue Raffle On Saturday evening, we will celebrate together at the National Specialty Awards Banquet. 2017 National Specialty Lure Coursing Competition The PHCA National AKC Lure Coursing Competition will take place at one of the more beautiful coursing locations in the region, Colonial Park. The park is located at 156 Mettlers Road, in Somerset, New Jersey, and has been the location of many coursing trials over the years. Competitors may enter the coursing event independently, or in conjunction with the Triathlon event. The trial will occur on Friday afternoon, after the completion of the morning s conformation ring events. The PHCA National Lure Coursing Premium will be sent out under a separate cover when judging and course layout details are finalized. For further information contact: Darci Kunard, Field Trial Secretary Address: 17531 E. 104 th Pl, Reunion, CO 80022 Email: kdarci@yahoo.com Phone: 720.983.3303 Colonial Park, located in Franklin Township, offers a spectacular variety of features and activities for park visitors. Acquired in 1965, this 685-acre facility includes scenic frontage on both the historic Delaware and Raritan Canal and the Millstone River. Recreation facilities, prize winning horticultural displays, and pristine natural areas are spaced amid the broad lawns and ponds of this diverse Somerset County park.

2017 National Specialty Triathlon Competition Although we often talk about performance in the conformation ring, our hounds are talented in a variety of events. In celebration of the amazing versatility of our hounds, we are happy once again, to offer the Pharaoh Hound Triathlon in the 2017 National. Events will take place over the course of several days. Recognition will be given to the entrants, and winners trophies and ribbons will be awarded at the Banquet on Saturday evening, September 9, at our host hotel. The Triathlon consists of 3 events conformation, lure coursing and rally or obedience. The Triathlon Competition is open to spayed and neutered, as well as intact Pharaoh Hounds who have been competing in a variety of performance events. Although there is a conformation component in the event, please enter whether you regularly participate in the conformation ring, or if you concentrate on everything but conformation! The judges are very accommodating and patient, so inexperience shouldn t keep you from showing. Feel free, though to ask a friend to take your dog into the ring. We only ask that professional handlers are not the designated handler, unless you are a pro, as well as the owner or co-owner of the dog you are showing. Scores used for this event are earned on designated National Specialty Event days. Conformation will be judged and scored on Thursday. Lure Coursing will be scored on Friday. Rally / Obedience will be scored on Saturday. Triathlon Conformation Match will be held on Thursday, immediately following Pharaoh Hound Best of Breed Competition and Photos. Any resulting ties in conformation, 1 st through 4 th, will be resolved through performance scores. To be eligible in performance events for the Triathlon, dogs must be entered at the level at which they are currently competing in AKC events. If a title has been earned by your dog, you must compete in that highest level. Darci Kunard is our Chairperson for the Triathlon Event this year. Contact Info for Darci: Email: kdarci@yahoo.com Phone: 720.983.3303
