About 9 miles out of Dayton and 1 mile after you cross the Bledsoe County line, turn right onto Summer City Road (big sign & taco stand on the corner). Drive 13.7 miles to Hubb Swafford Road, turn right. The road ends at Gun Dog Development (1 mile). [On Summer City Rd, about 9 miles in you will pass "Frostbite Country Store" on your right, and 13 miles on your right is "Thurman's Grocery." Hubb Swafford is by a red brick house sitting by a white metal barn. It will be the only gravel road you will travel.]

CLASSIFICATION Field Trial There are two Classes: Gun Dog and Open Dog Water Retrieve Test TAN The Gun Dog Class is open to pointing dogs 6 months of age or older registered with the UKC or with TL or LP Number. The Open Dog class is open to pointing dogs 1 year of age or older registered with the UKC or with TL or LP number. The WRT is open to all pointing breed dogs 6 months of age or older that are Permanently Registered, Temporary Listed (TL), or Performance Listed (PL) with the UKC. This shall include dogs which are neutered. There is no maximum age limitation. If a dog does not successfully achieve WRT certification, the dog is eligible for entry and participation in subsequent WRT events until certification is achieved. Once a dog receives WRT certification, the dog is not eligible to enter in subsequent WRT events. Dogs entering the TAN must be three years of age or less on the day of the TAN, must be registered with the UKC or have a TL or LP number and may not have already earned a TAN previously. Dogs in heat may participate in the field trials, WRT, and TAN. Dogs in season will be run last and kept away from other dogs at all times until their run order. ALL PRIZES MUST BE CLAIMED THE WEEKEND OF THE EVENTS NONE WILL BE MAILED All owners and handlers must sign the release and waiver of liability which is a part of the entry form as a condition of being allowed to participate. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. General meeting, TAN, WRT and Field Trial areas are not protected by security. No dog(s) may be left on any meeting grounds overnight. 2. All times are Eastern Time. ENTRY ELIGIBILITY 1. All dogs entered must be a UKC registered pointing breed, or have a UKC Temporary Listing (TL) number, Limited Privilege (LP) number or Permanent Listed (PL) number. No exceptions will be made. Entries for ineligible dogs will be returned. 2. No substitutions for entered dogs are allowed. 3. Dogs in heat may participate in the field trial. Dogs in season will be run last and must be kept away from other dogs at all times until their run order. FIELD TRIALS Gun Dog Class. The Gun Dog Class shall be open to dogs six (6) months or older which have not earned a title in the Open Dog Class. The Gun Dog Class is designed for beginning and intermediate level dogs and handlers. The Gun Dog Class is normally run in solo. In Type (W) field trials involving designated wild game, a club may elect to run the Gun Dog Class in braced competition. In Type (L) field trials involving liberated (released) birds, the Gun Dog Class shall be run in solo only. Open Dog Class. The Open Dog Class shall be open to dogs at least one (1) year of age. The Open Dog Class is designed for dogs that are finished gun dogs. The Field Trial Committee of the sponsoring club shall designate the Open Dog Class as a competition in solo, braces or both. Water Retrieve Test. The Water Retrieve Test shall be open to dogs at least six (6) months of age. The object of the WRT is to evaluate and to certify the basic water retrieving ability of the pointing dog breeds. WRT certification

shall be independent of, and shall not count towards satisfaction of the requirements for any other title in the UKC Pointing Dog Program. TRIAL AREA AND TYPE The 2017 Field Trial will be conducted on native vegetation and planted vegetation habitat usual to the Tennessee upland bird ecosystem. The trials will be a Type L (Liberated Bird). The handler is asked to read, be familiar with and abide by the Field Trial, TAN, and WRT Rules as published by UKC. http://res.ukcdogs.com/pdf/pointingdogrulebook2016.pdf The drawn running order is a guideline as to running order and time. Handlers and their dogs must be readily available at the judges disposal to accommodate any change in running order. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused. ENTRY FEES TAN: $30.00 Gun Class $50.00 Open Class $50.00 (Braces and Solo) Water Retrieve Test: $30 SUBMITTING ENTRIES 1. Entries may be submitted on the Official UKC Entry Form included with this Premium or found on the UKC website at http://res.ukcdogs.com/pdf/field-trial-entry-form.pdf, or on any current official UKC Field Trial Entry Form. Downloaded copies or photocopies of these forms may be used as well. All entries must be directed to the Field Trial Secretary. 2. Entries must include the fully completed Entry Form and the associated fees. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. 3. Advance Entries must be received no later than 5:00 P.M. Saturday, November 18, 2017. Entries tendered and accepted after that time must pay a $10.00 late fee. The Field Trail Committee reserves the right to reject any late entry, depending up space, birds, logistics and other considerations. The running order of any dog entered late and after the drawing of the running order shall be solely at the discretion of the Field Trial Chairman and Secretary. 4. Mail Field Trial entries to: Tom Lehmann, Field Trial Secretary, 1806 Mayo Lane, Prospect, KY 40059 PAYMENT 1. Payment may be made by cash, check, or money order. No entry will be accepted without payment. 2. Make checks and money orders payable to CMEBGDC. Checks and money orders must be payable in U.S. funds. 3. Post-dated checks or returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. CMEBGDC will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or money order. Exhibitors who repeatedly submit invalid entry fees may be put on a CASH ONLY basis. REFUNDS 1. No refund of entry fees will be made for entries cancelled after the Entry Deadline if an event is cancelled due to lack of entries or other consideration. 2. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Event Committee. 3. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, inclement weather or other acts beyond the control of the host organization it is impossible to open or to complete a show or trial, no refund of entry fee may be made if necessary to cover non-refundable incurred expenses. 4. If, in the opinion of the host club, the well-being of dogs, exhibitors or spectators is at risk due to extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, or extreme heat, the host club may cancel or stop a show or trial before completion. No refunds will be made in such cases if necessary to cover incurred expenses.

ENTRY CONFIRMATION 1. Written confirmation of entries will be made by the Field Trial Secretary by email (if one is provided) as soon as practicable after receipt of the Entries. If you do not receive your confirmation by the Saturday preceding this event, please notify the CMEBGDC Field Trial Secretary at trlehmann63@yahoo.com, (502) 797-6694. 2. Receipt of e-mail entries will be acknowledged immediately by return e-mail but this does not constitute an official entry nor a confirmation of the entry. Entry will be confirmed upon receipt of the appropriate entry fees. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS 1. All events are held under the Rules and Regulations of the United Kennel Club, Inc. (UKC), published effective August 1, 2016. (http://res.ukcdogs.com/pdf/pointingdogrulebook2016.pdf) 2. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs will be allowed on the grounds or in the buildings on the day of a UKC licensed event. 3. UKC, CMEBGDC, their agents, and employees assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators or by exhibitors and handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. UKC / CMEBGDC are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft. 4. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. 5. No smoking in all buildings and areas designated as such. 6. Exhibitors and dog owners are expected and required to clean up after their own dogs. Any person witnessing a violation of this rule must report it to the Event Committee. The Event Committee may ask any person violating this rule to leave the event grounds. No refund will be made if an exhibitor is asked to leave the grounds. 7. UKC will vigorously support any motel that files a complaint about exhibitors who fail to keep their dogs quiet or to clean up after them. In order that the bad conduct of a few exhibitors does not spoil it for the majority of responsible exhibitors, UKC will take strong disciplinary action against any offenders. 8. All dogs at the TAN, WRT and Field Trials must be contained and in control at all times. The exception being if there are designated exercise and field work areas available. Dogs must be collared, on a leash or tie out chains, or in a kennel when not performing in the TAN, WRT or Field Trials. During the Field Trials, dogs not yet competing should be out of sight of the Field Trialing area and immediate management area. 9. All owners and handlers must sign the release and waiver of liability which is a part of the entry form as a condition of being allowed to participate. PLACINGS / PRIZES TAN: The TAN is a pass or fail test. Dogs that are not successful may enter a future TAN event if they are three years of age or less on the day of that event. A dog may also receive a TAN during a Field Trial event. Field Trials (both Gun Dog Class and Open Dog Class): 1. Placement of dogs in the Field Trial and WRT is not mandatory. All dogs will pass or fail according to judge s final ruling. 2. The drawn running order is a guideline as to running order and time. Handlers and their dogs must be readily available at the judges disposal to accommodate any change in running order. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused. WRT: The WRT is a pass or fail test. Dogs that are not successful may enter a future WRT event. CORRECTION OF ENTRY 1. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of information in the entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors. Owners and exhibitors are responsible for correcting any errors in their entry. 2. Dogs that, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a placing or title after the closing of entries, may be transferred from the entered class to another class for which the dog is now eligible, provided that a request for transfer is made in writing to CMEBGDC via the Trial Secretary not later than onehalf hour prior to the start of any regular judging at the TAN, WRT and Field Trial. 3. All other corrections to entries must be made in writing to CMEBGDC via the Trial Secretary not later than one- half hour prior to the start of any regular judging at the TAN, WRT and Field Trial.
