DWAS 'SPRING SHOW-OFF' MOST VERSATILE AUSSIE RULES This competition will be open to all ASCA registered Australian Shepherds, regardless of registration type. This class is open to spayed and neutered animals as well as intact animals. Bitches in heat are not allowed to compete in ASCA Rally, Obedience and Agility Trials. In addition, to remain eligible for the MVA Award, each entry must earn a qualifying score from at least one of the following performance programs: Agility (a Regular round), Obedience or Rally. Program specifics will be mentioned in the rule book of each program. Scoring will be as explained below. Ties for awarding the Most Versatile Aussie Award and placements will be broken using the highest Stockdog score as calculated for MVA points. In the case that a tie still exists, the dog with the highest number of qualifying scores in all MVA qualifying events will prevail. If the tie is still not broken, dual placements shall be awarded. Computation of all scores for awarding the Most Versatile Aussie Award will be handled by either the Most Versatile Aussie show committee, and / or by one identified member of the show committee. The Host Club will provide a location where all scores will be posted as soon as practicable after each eligible competition is completed. It is the owner / handler's responsibility to check the scores as posted, and report to the MVA chairperson any discrepancy no later than four hours prior to the time scheduled for awarding MVA. Awards for MVA are final once presented. MVA-Award ceremony will be held on Sunday evening, after the herding trial at the JJ Ranch! - 2 -

Friday is the assigned day for your Regular Agility runs needed for MVA and you have to let us know on your MVA-entry form if you run on Wednesday or Sunday for your MVA-stock runs.!!! Of course you may enter on any of the offered trial dates to gain your legs for your titles! Your qualifying MVA-runs also count towards your titles!!! MVA Awards: 1 st place : Carrillo Family plate. The Carrillo family is donating a plate. Your name, and the name of the dog will be engraved in it. You need to return it on the next MVA event. Rosettes for all qualifying competitors! The highest qualifying score from the Started, Open, or Advanced classes will be used to compute MVA points. Points will be computed as follows: Advanced = Score +6% of score Open = Score Started = Score D. Additional on qualifying runs in a D, E, or F course: 10 % points over the result calculated in C. Performance scores The dog will receive one MVA score from the three performance categories of obedience, agility and rally. The one qualifying score with the highest MVA point value will be used as the dog s base score. Any and all additional qualifying scores will be valued at 5 points each and added to the base score to get the dog s total performance score. Obedience A. The highest qualifying score from a regular class will be used to compute MVA points. B. Points will be computed as follows: Utility = Score plus 10 points Open = Score Novice = Score minus 10 points Rally A. The highest qualifying score from a regular class will be used to compute MVA points. B. Points will be computed as follows: Masters = Score minus 5 points Excellent = Score minus 10 points Advanced = Score minus 15 points Novice = Score minus 20 points Agility A. The highest qualifying score from a regular class will be used to compute MVA points. This is an unpaved road. After 800 meters you can park at Zwanenburgreed nr. 5 (on your left hand side). DWAS will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog exhibited, or for the possessions of any exhibitor whether the result was by accident or any other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this event is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Show Committee be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of fees paid will be made. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the chairman will be responsible or obligated to furnish any services for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. Entry fees will only be refunded if the refund request is received before the preentry closing date, no entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot be opened or completed by reasons of riots, civil disturbances, fire, Acts of God, or public emergency. The showgiving club, the Show Chairman, their agents, officers, and/or committee shall assume no responsibility for injury to children. Judges may be substituted. For the safety of your dog(s) and others, all dogs must have current vaccinations against rabies, distemper / parvo. Puppy s under 16 weeks need to have had their first shots. You have to be able to show that your dog has been vaccinated when you pick up your ring number. Dogs without correct vaccination papers cannot start. All dogs, six months or older must have either an ASCA registration number or a Tracking number to compete in any venue, please have a copy available at any show.
