Varieties: Red Pyle, Birchon, Black, Lemon Blue, Blue and Silver Blue Japanese Developed in Japan these birds are beautiful and unusual with their very short legs; they do not require much space. Varieties: White, Black, Mottled, Black Tailed White, Black Tailed Buff and Grey. Sebright Developed in Britain these bantams are eye catching with their attractive laced feather pattern. Varieties: Silver, Golden and Buff Old English Game Developed in England the Old English Game is hardy and athletic and comes in a variety of nice colors. Barred Plymouth Rock Developed in England, the Barred Rock bantam is very popular. Like its larger counterpart, this bantam is a good layer. Ameracauna (Easter Egger) Like its larger counterpart, the bantam Ameracauna is a good layer of green and blue eggs. Buff Orpington Developed in England, the Buff Orpington bantam is active, docile and striking in its buff plumage. Rhode Island Red Developed in the US, this bantam is attractive with its dark red feathering; the hens are good layers. Bantams - Feather Legged Brahma Brahma bantams are nicely colored docile birds; the Brahma hen makes a good broody; this breed can withstand cold temperatures quite well. Varieties: Buff, Dark and Light Cochin Developed in China, Cochins are friendly, cute, and popular as show birds and the hens make good mothers. Varieties: Barred, Black, Blue, Buff, Gold Laced, Mottled, Red, Silver Laced, White, Black Frizzle, Red Frizzle and White Frizzle. Silkie Silkies originate from the Orient. These birds are unique with feathering that looks more like fur, they are friendly and the Silkie hen makes an excellent broody. White Crested Black Polish This bantam is outstanding with its large white crest and completely black body feathering, an excellent show bird. Sultan The Sultan bantam was developed in the U.S. This bird has a crest, beard, muff, feathering on its legs and toes, vulture hocks, five toes and completely white plumage. Varieties: White, Partridge and Buff Spangled Russian Orloff An unusual and friendly breed of chicken that has a beard, muffs and a walnut comb, the Orloff is believed to originate from Iran. Mottled Java This breed originates in the US; A calm breed that lays brown eggs and has very striking black and white mottled plumage. Barred Holland This rare American breed is calm and lays white eggs. They do well foraging and can also handle confinement well. The following rare breeds are sold as straight run only: White Chantecler hen Silver Gray Dorking A very old breed in the English Class of poultry, these birds are very attractive and a good all round dual purpose breed. Egyptian Fayoumi The Fayoumi is from Egypt; it is rare, fast maturing, very hardy and a good free ranger. Tinted egg Silver Spangled Spitzhauben This breed was developed in Switzerland and is kept mainly for its uniqueness; they have a pointed crest, which bends forward. Black Sumatra Developed in Asia, the Sumatra is kept largely for its beauty and for showing. White or tinted egg Sicilian Buttercup This breed originates from Italy and is very unique looking with its cup shaped comb; it is also a good layer. Red Jungle Fowl The Jungle fowl is a wild chicken that comes from Asia; it is believed that all modern day breeds are derived from this bird. Tinted egg Phoenix The Phoenix breed was developed in Japan; they are primarily kept for show and exhibition due to their unusually long and beautiful tail feathers. Varieties: Gold and Silver Red Shouldered Yokohama Developed in Japan, the Yokohama is a striking bird with very long hackle, saddle and tail feathers. Tinted egg Red Caps This English breed has plumage that is reddish brown in colour with black tips; it has a very large rose comb. White Laced Red Cornish Developed in England, the Cornish breed is large and muscular. Black Breasted Red Malay Known for their belligerent nature, the Malay is long legged and tough looking, males will protect their hens fearlessly. Welsummer Developed in Holland this breed lays beautiful dark Terracotta colored eggs; the birds are also very nicely marked. Buck eye This American breed is a nice mahogany colour. They have a pea comb which makes it a nice choice in cold areas; they are also very friendly. Dominique This American breed is similar looking to the Barred Rock; one way to differentiate between the two is the Dominique s rose comb compared to the Barred Rock s single comb. Ameraucana Easter Egger Developed in the US, this breed lays blue and green eggs and is friendly in nature. They are nicely marked and slower growing than commercial turkeys. Varieties: Bourbon Red and Ridley Bronze. DUCKS White Pekin An all-white bird with orange beak and feet, Pekins grow really fast, they can reach 8 lbs. In 7 weeks! Dewlap Toulouse This breed is very majestic looking due to its large size and dewlaps. Very gentle in nature and can become quite tame. Brown Chinese This goose is brown and fawn in color with a dark brown stripe along the back of its neck, its beak is black and it has a black knob on its head. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Most of our birds are hatched weekly and may be available as such; however, large orders and most of our special breeds need to be ordered well in advance of your desired pickup date. Due to circumstances beyond our control, such as availability of eggs and hatching results, we cannot guarantee all orders to be filled on their expected dates; however, we will do our best to ensure that they will be. Some of our breeds do very well at poultry shows, however, we do not guarantee show quality birds; we do guarantee purebred birds. Bantams, certain rare breeds, turkeys and guinea fowl are sold as straight run only. Poultry order minimums: you must order at least 5 chicks or 3 ducklings or 2 goslings or 3 turkey poults or 5 guinea keets. After placing your order, a 20% deposit is required which can be made by cheque, money order, interac e-transfer, Visa or MasterCard. Add 15 cents per bird per day, for started birds. Vaccination for Mareks is 15 cents per bird. If looking for poultry not listed, please inquire for availability. After placing your order The following is required: Once your order is confirmed, a 20% Deposit is required within two weeks, if your deposit is not received within 3 weeks of the date your order confirmation was sent to you, your order may be cancelled without notice. Please note: large orders will be subject to a 50% deposit. Also note that your deposit is non-refundable once your order is within 4 weeks of your confirmed hatch date. Balance of payment can be paid upon pickup by cash, money order, Visa or MasterCard We will call within a couple of days of hatch date to arrange for time of pick-up Please note that we are very busy on pick up days and it is possible for things to back up which can result in waiting for your order beyond the set time for pick up.
