Goldie(8) & Sweee(4) Color: Gender: Age: Weight: Activity Level: Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Yellow Female Goldie 6 Sweetie 3 Goldie 126 lbs. Sweetie 71 lbs. Medium Unsure Unsure Tucson/Florence Jewel Phone: 206-331-6545 Addional Informaon: Hi! My name is Goldie(8) and I m 6 years old. My little sister, Sweetie(4), and I are looking for a new furever home because our owner got really, really sick and can t take care of us any more. My foster mom calls me Chunky Monkey because I m just a little overweight. Okay, maybe a lot because they tell me I weigh 126 lbs. I LOVE people and giving kisses and I love attention and I try to crawl up in your lap because I think I m a lap dog. My tail wags all the time so I can help with the dusting if you want me too. Like I said, I m a little overweight so you will have to help me get my svelte figure back. Don t know if I like children or cats, and my foster home doesn t have a doggy door or pool so don t know about them either. I get along great with my foster sister, who is also a lab, but think my sister and I should be the only dogs in the household, since you get 2 for the price of 1. What a deal! I like to bark to let you know when people walk by the house, I don t get up on the furniture, am house trained and know some commands. I probably need work on the leash because I am a big girl and can pull pretty hard. I am trustworthy in the house, sleep with my sister in our crate all night long (with the door open) and like car rides. If you want to meet two wonderful girls, please call our foster mom! I m Sweetie, Goldie s little sister, and boy am I ever, a sweetie that is! I m only 3 and I follow my big sister everywhere-- we even sleep in our crate together. I even like to take naps in my crate during the day. As you probably already know, we are a package deal, two for one. My foster mom and dad keep telling me things like sit and stay, but I don t know what those words mean so I guess I will need some training, but I m sure I m a very smart girl and will learn fast. There are so many good things about me-- I do really well riding in a car, and I am house trained and trustworthy in the house, and my tail wags ALL the time, and I don t get up on the furniture, and I love tummy rubs, and I love giving kisses. If you are looking for two of the sweetest dogs, please call our foster mom! NOTE: Goldie and Sweetie are available to be seen by potential adopters but they cannot be adopted until after Sweetie 17 is spayed on March 21, 2017. March 14, 2017

Coco (13) Gender: Female Age: 2 Weight: Activity Level: Medium Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown Phoenix Cisco or Claudia Phone: 623-249-6395 Additional Information: Hi! My name is Coco, and I m one of the 3 sugar babies. You may have already read about us on Facebook We are quite popular! My two sisters (Bon Bon and Bell) and I are only 2 years old, but we have been on quite a journey already! We used to live outside and got really skinny. The man we used to live with finally took us to a vet who told him we have diabetes. He said he couldn t take care of us anymore and asked the vet to put us down. Luckily the vet s receptionist contacted DLRR who took us in! Yep, turned out they saved us and we are super thankful! All 3 of us need insulin shots, just like humans with diabetes do. My foster parents didn t have a clue how to do it, but learned quite quickly. It s all doable if you love someone It would be great if all three of us could stay together, but I understand that might be difficult. Maybe I could stay with Bell, because I really like to cuddle with her! Bell is already blind, and I m unfortunately on my way there because my diabetes wasn t taken care of in time. Although my vision is better than Bell s and am not completely blind, it makes me sad sometimes. But, good news! Bell and I have seen this doctor who thinks he can do eye surgery so that we can see again. It s not cheap, so DLRR is taking donations to help. Chances are REALLY good though that I can see again and live a happy life. I would really love that because I ve had it especially rough. You see, I also have valley fever, so it s taking more time for me to gain weight and get healthy. But I feel like I m in good care now, and I know they are doing the best they can to help me. You should also know that I m housebroken, love kids and really like my crate too! I m super thankful to our foster family, and try to tell them any chance I get by kissing their hands. Then they pet and kiss me and tell me what a good and sweet girl I am! I love it when they do that Do you want some kisses from me too? 18 March 14, 2017

Bon Bon Gender: Female Age: 2 Weight: Activity Level: Medium Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown Phoenix Cisco or Claudia Phone: 623-249-6395 Additional Information: Hi! My foster parents didn t have a clue how to do it, but learned quite quickly. It s all doable if you love someone What else is there to know about me? I am a super cute girl. I love to sunbathe and chase birds, but one of my favorite things to do is cuddle, I just LOVE it! My foster parents have no choice but to love to cuddle with me too because I just drop into their laps when they sit next to me. Plus my coat is sooooo soft... And my face!!! I tell ya no one can resist me! I also like to play with other dogs, because it s fun! I do like being with my sisters, but I have a feeling I d be ok on my own too. I m a big girl after all Since I do like other dogs, I d love to have a playmate though. Kids love me too and I love them as well; as long as I get belly rubs I m housebroken and really good in a crate. What do you say? Want to meet me? 19 March 14, 2017

Hershey (15) Gender: Female Age: 11.5 Weight: 86 lbs. Activity Level: Low-Medium Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown See notes Unknown Phoenix Britt Phone: 602-524-9128 Addional Informaon: OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOU!!! I might be a "senior" but with my super cool meds (Tramadol and Rimadyl) I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE being an active sweetheart! Walks? MY FAVORITE! Toys? MY FAVORITE! Toys that squeak? MY FAVORITE! Love and pets? MY FAVORITE! Food? MY FAVORITE! Soft comfy beds? MY FAVORITE! You?? MY FAVORITE! Sorry, I got distracted for a second! My foster mama says I'm her favorite Hershey's kiss, her little mochachino. I think that's good? I am SO loving and SO fun and SO happy to be with you! I don't require a ton of exercise, but did you see that I LOVE my walks?? I'm a very faithful companion and will take alllllll the loves you can give, but when you're done, I'm happy to go snooze on a bed not too far away from you! I'm perfect in the house (if you don't mind picking up the remains of toys that I enjoy destroying!) and I am an expert at that doggie door thing! I take my food last (do I really have to wait for my foster brother and sister to eat first?) and I don't get territorial with food. I do LOVE my toys, so if you have another doggie, I'm going to try to play with him or her and I might decide they CAN'T play with my toys, As long as I have boundaries and a safe place to call my own I'm perfect! My foster mama has a crate with a super cushy bed for me if I want to go into "my" room, but I really don't go in there anymore because I LOVE being with my family! So who is perfect for me? A lower energy home with a mama and/or daddy who can appreciate that I love to play and walk, but that I do have my limits. I need to meet any other doggies and I might have a transition/adjustment period figuring out where I fit in, but once I do, I'm PERFECT! Actually, I'm perfect just the way I am! I do take medicine with each meal - some little pink thing for my thyroid and that awesome Rimadyl and Tramadol to keep me active! Can I meet you and give you super sweet kisses? 20 March 14, 2017

Princess (9) Gender: Female Age: 7 Weight: 38 lbs. Activity Level: Medium-High Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Phoenix Michelle Phone: 602-432-4038 Addional Informaon: Hello... I am Princess, a six year old chocolate lab mix and I am looking for an active family, preferably with children because I love to play with them. I have been with my foster family for a couple weeks and they say I am very "busy." I do settle down, especially if there is a tennis ball to chew on! I often sit in front of them and then lay my head in their laps. I mind pretty well and cannot get enough of your attention, I love to play! My foster mom throws the ball for me every morning and I always bring it back to her. Other than being a little underweight (38 pounds), I am very healthy. They say I have a problem with my pancreas, but all it requires is some special food ($70 for a big bag) and some powdered stuff you put into my food. I love taking walks and would be a good companion on a run. My tail was cropped as a puppy but I'm not sure why. That doesn't change my beauty one bit. I love to play with my older foster brother, but sometimes I forget my boundaries and sleep halfway on him. He doesn't seem to mind. I found the kitties my foster mom has and have learned that they are not to be messed with. I'm still curious about them but mostly leave them alone-they do have sharp claws! I do love to eat but am not allowed to have too many treats. However, you will find me in your kitchen wanting to help you when you cook. I LOVE being with my people. My birthday is March 17th so if you want to meet me and keep me, we can have a big celebration of my seventh birthday. I look forward to meeting you soon! 21 March 14, 2017

Zoom Gender: Age: Weight: Female 10 months 58 lbs. Activity Level: High Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown Phoenix Crystal Phone: 612-388-5402 Addional Informaon: Zoom is a 10 month old chocolate lab. She is a sweet girl with lots of youthful energy. Zoom was recently spayed and is house trained and crate trained. She is great with kids and other dogs, and has not yet met a cat. She is very social and would really be happiest if she had another dog to play with in her new family. She enjoys chasing the ball, and just needs some more practice bringing it back once she gets it. She loves to go for walks, although she does want to pull and her leash manners will need some more work. Zoom shows a lot of potential and will greatly benefit from training to direct her energy in a positive way. So far, she knows the commands sit and come. She mastered the doggie door within a day or two at her foster home. Zoom loves to be near people and will follow you from room to room. She loves doggie chew toys and can also toss toys across the floor and entertain herself by dashing back and forth, sliding and chasing them! Being a young dog, she has been known to try to chew inappropriate items occasionally, so we would not recommend she be unsupervised for long periods of time. Zoom is currently taking antibiotics for a skin infection and her last dose will be 3/14/17. If you would like to meet this pretty little girl, please contact her foster family. 22 March 14, 2017

DLRR Black Pearls DLRR is committed to saving the lives of Labrador Retrievers, but perhaps these black dogs are the ones who need us most because they simply do not get noticed. According to the President of the Los Angeles SPCA, black dogs are: the hardest to adopt out, they are in shelters the longest and therefore, they are most likely to be euthanized if nothing happens. This unfortunate phenomenon has a name: Black Dog Syndrome. If you are thinking about adopting a dog, please don t overlook black dogs, they are just as loving and wonderful as lighter colored dogs! To find out more please visit www.blackpearldogs.com 23

Maybe I could just stay with Coco, because I really like to cuddle with her! Coco is going blind too, just like me. I m actually blind already because my diabetes wasn t treated, but I heard rumors they are trying to do eye surgery so that I can see again. It s not cheap, so DLRR, who rescued us, is taking donations to help. Chances are REALLY good that I can see again and live a happy life. That s what the eye specialist said. Wouldn t that be cool?!?! Oh, how I d love to be able to see again and not bump into stuff and be able to goof around. I do manage pretty well, even being blind, but I do remember what it was like when I was able to see, and it was pretty neat! I miss it Of course I m housebroken and I am really good in the crate. I actually kinda like it! My foster family always tells me I m so lovable and such a pretty girl. I can t see myself in the mirror, but I hope they are right. Do you want to find out for yourself? 24 March 14, 2017

Noelle (2) Gender: Female Age: 2 Weight: 68 lbs. Activity Level: High Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown Tucson Lisa Phone: 702-469-1317 Addional Informaon: Noelle is the sweetest cuddlebug. She is 68 lbs. of silky smooth black 2 year old buddle of love. She loves all people. Noey as we call her will climb in lap scrunch and contort her body just to sit with you. She is a true velcro dog. She wants to be with you at all times. Noey will follow you anywhere that s how much she loves people. We have been working on the personal space issue with her. Usually I can get her to sit next to me by patting the chair next to the one I'm sitting in and tell her settle then she will sit in the chair and stare at me with her longing eyes. It s very hard to resist her when she turns those soulful eyes on you. Noey is heartworm positive, on medication but the good news it was caught in the early stages. Noey is fine in a crate, doggie door trained and house broke, great with kids, and other dogs. She hasn t met any cats. She is still working on leash manners. For being a compact little girl she is strong she pulls on her leash. She is a high energy girl. 25 March 14, 2017

She was found in a parking lot wandering in the rain. This sweet girl also has 2 different types of tick fever which she is on medication for. We think that is why she lost her babies. Eva is a calm sweet girl. She gets excited to eat breakfast and dinner. She does a little prancing dance for her food and eats it very slowly to savor every bite. She has fondness for sleeping in her doggie bed. She has never played with toys here in her foster home. Eva really loves to be scratched behind the ears and go on walks. If you are looking for a calm angel then Eva is your girl. She also smiles a toothy grin when she is really happy. She doesn t get on furniture nor does she counter surf. She may only be around 3 years old but acts older and wiser than she is. She gets along with dogs, hasn t been around cats and is fine with children who are older. Eva is a very smart girl she learned the doggie door very quickly and has never had an accident inside the house. 26 March 14, 2017

Chaz (3) Gender: Male Age: 8 Weight: Activity Level: Low-Medium Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Unknown Phoenix Adrienne Phone: 480-710-7898 Addional Informaon: Chaz is a black beauty inside and out. This mellow 8 year old was rescued from MCACC East shelter after spending a month in a small kennel after this previous owner moved and decided not to bring him along. I can't understand why since from day 1 he was so calm, sweet and loving in his kennel He was a volunteer favorite whom I was sure would find a home immediately. After a couple weeks he started having difficulty getting up which led to him not eating and he quickly lost weight and mobility. Chaz quickly regained his appetite and strength but continued to have pain in his rear leg and was unable to put weight on this. After failing to improve with medication alone, Chaz had surgery on 1/4/17 to remove his left hip joint. His bone came back positive for Valley Fever. Chaz is now 2 months since surgery and continues to gain strength daily. He is on medication for Valley Fever and will now use his back leg for balance. Despite this weak back leg, he gets around without difficulty and loves to go for walks. Chaz is the perfect companion dog and would love to be by your side. He is housetrained as well as kennel trained but I trust him completely out of the kennel. He rides well in the car and loves to be included on outings. He spends the day when I am at work relaxing on his dog bed. Chaz wants to be wherever you are and is great with kids as well as all dogs he has encountered. We don't know for sure how he does with cats but volunteers at the shelter did not notice any reaction to the feral cats at the shelter when he was walking by them. His foster pals are a senior mellow yellow lab, a crazy energetic young female lab and a miniature poodle rescue. He fit right in with the pack immediately and enjoys playing with all of his foster siblings. Chaz may be a senior by age, but remains an energetic playful and happy boy at heart. If you would like more information on Chaz or would like to meet him, please contact his foster family. 27 March 14, 2017

Shiloh (3) Gender: Age: Male 10 weeks Weight: Activity Level: High (puppy) Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Phoenix Michelle Phone: 480-228-3837 Addional Informaon: Hi, my name is Shiloh...my foster parents call me Moose. I'm 10 weeks old and completely black. I'm little now but not for long, my foster parents say I have huge paws. I am up for adventures and I love to play! We are working on potty training, I've had a few accidents, I get to playing and forget to run to the door. I do love to cuddle and even stop to smell the flowers when outside playing. I love playing in our water bowl and playing with toys. I get along with my foster brother and sister, they are huge but, I try and run with them. My foster Mom says I can be a Drama King because I thought my foster sister was going to step on me and I let out a cry and okay I can act too because I was limping but, as soon as a leaf blew by, I ran to check it out! (giggles, yep, Mom was right there was nothing wrong with me) I do go in my crate to eat and sleep. Sometimes just to nap. For the most part I sleep all night unless someone gets up, then I figure its a good time to go potty too. IF you are looking for a super fun, high energy companion please call my foster mom. Please leave a message with your full name so she can call you back if she isn't able to answer. 28 March 14, 2017

Constance Gender: Age: Female 10 weeks Weight: Activity Level: High (puppy) Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Phoenix Michelle Phone: 480-228-3837 Addional Informaon: Hi, my name is Constance (my foster parents call me Lucy). I was ignoring my foster mom when she called me and my foster dad came home and said "Lucy, I'm home!" I reacted right away, so when I hear Lucy I come running. Let me tell you a little about me. I'm 10 weeks old, all black and my foster parents say I'm a sweetheart. I love to cuddle and sit back and watch my brother and my foster siblings play. I get in on the action from time to time. I'm working on potty training, I'm doing pretty good. I get to playing and forget to run to the door. I enjoy playing with toys, chewing on antlers and chew toys. I also love playing in the water bowl too! There is a cat here but, she isn't friendly so I bark at her. She hisses at me all the time. Very grumpy kitty. I go into my crate when its time to eat or if I'm just wanting to take a nap. I also sleep in my crate at night, I sleep though the night unless someone gets up and then I want to go out for a potty break. IF you are looking for a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and explore please call my foster Mom. Please leave your full name if she isn't able to answer her phone. My brother and I keep her busy. 29 March 14, 2017

Mya (2) Gender: Age: Female 10 weeks Weight: Activity Level: High (puppy) Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Phoenix Morgan Phone: 305-389-6397 Addional Informaon: Meet Mya. She is a 10 week old female black lab pup that was rescued from Nogales. She is microchipped, spayed, and is up-to-date with her vaccines. She is currently being fostered in Chandler, AZ. This is what her foster mom has to say..."mya is such a doll! I think she looks like a little black bear cub. She has been around people ages 4 to 74 and has charmed everyone she meets. She does really well with my two resident dogs (an older small dog and young big dog). She is not an alpha female and instinctively knows when to initiate play or leave my dogs alone. She could easily go to a house with other dogs. She has one vice...she loves water! I mean, she sits in the water bowl if you let her. I think her ideal home would have a pool for her to swim in when she gets older. Due to her young age, she needs a home where someone is home most of the day. If Ms. Mya would be a good fit for your family, please leave me a message with your full name and phone number so that I can have your application in front of me when I call you back." 30 March 14, 2017

Tucker (8) Gender: Age: Weight: Male 8 months 64 lbs. Activity Level: High (puppy) Children: Dogs: Cats: Location: Contact: Phoenix Roberta Phone: 602-697-0730 Addional Informaon: I am ALL boy!! I have lots of boy puppy energy! I play ball, I chew on my bone, I like to run around in my foster parents back yard, I like to play with my foster brothers and sister (2 labs and a Jack Russell). This is awesome and fun! But I would really love to find a forever home where I can be a super companion and love and cuddle on my new best friend. Tucker (8) is 8 months old, 64 lbs., likes other dogs but can play on his own, no idea if he likes kittycats but he will periodically talk back to the neighbor dogs, he is still very curious about what is on the kitchen counter but has not eaten anything yet, we suggest the new parent pay attention to shoes and toys on the floor because did we mention Tucker (8) is still a puppy! He is learning the leash and basic commands but is smart and will really benefit from obedience classes. Oops! One accident in the house because he is still learning the doggy door but that s okay this foster home is new to me and he says he was just momentarily confused. Tucker (8) is really at the perfect age where he is still puppy cute but is easy to teach new routines. 31 March 14, 2017
