Movie Sentences #1 The moon is full. A man and his wife have a chicken farm. The chickens are not happy. They want to escape. One chicken, Ginger, digs a hole with a spoon. She crawls under the fence. The man and his dogs see her. The dogs bark. One dog chases Ginger. She runs up the stairs. A woman opens the door. She is angry The man picks up Ginger. Movie Sentences #2 The next morning, the chickens wake up. Mrs. Tweedy gathers and counts the eggs. The chickens line up. They are nervous. Mrs. Tweedy looks at the chart. One chicken, Edwina, has no eggs. Mr. Tweedy takes her to the shed. Mrs. Tweedy picks up an ax. She cuts off Edwina s head. Ginger sits on the roof. She is very sad. She looks at a flock of birds. Meanwhile Mrs. Tweedy is paying the bills. She wants to make more money. She sees an advertisement. She makes a plan. Meanwhile Ginger shows the other chickens her new plan. She wants to go over the fence. She uses a turnip. The turnip hits the wall and SPLATS. The chickens do not like this plan. Movie Sentences #4 Mr. Tweedy is coming! The chickens run and hide. Ginger thinks about a place with blue sky and green grass and no fences. The other chickens are very nervous. Ginger is discouraged. She starts to cry. She looks up. She sees a rooster flying through the sky. The rooster falls onto the farm and sprains his wing. His name is Rocky. Ginger sees a poster. Rocky is on the poster. He is flying. Ginger is excited. She has a new plan! Rocky can teach the chickens how to fly! They can escape OVER the fence. Rocky does not like this plan. Movie Sentences #5 The next day, Rocky gives the chickens their first lesson. He leads the exercises. He takes a bath. Ginger is not happy. Rocky is not a good teacher. The chickens practice jumping. They jump off the roof. They flap their wings. But they do not fly. They always fall. Rocky says, Pain is your friend! All the chickens are sore. A big truck arrives. A big machine is delivered. Movie Sentences #6 Mac and Ginger build a new machine. The machine does not work. The chickens crash into the fence. Babs is nervous at roll call. She has not laid any eggs in three days. But Mrs. Tweedy does not kill her. Instead she measures her waist. Mr. Tweedy gives the chickens extra feed. Ginger is suspicious. The other chickens eat a lot. Ginger says, Stop! They do not listen to her. Ginger overturns the food. She understands the Tweedy s plan. The Tweedys want FAT chickens for chicken pot pie. Ginger sits on the roof. She is very sad. Movie Sentences #7 Suddenly the ground shakes. The pie machine is working! Mr. Tweedy grabs Ginger. The other chickens panic. Rocky goes to save her. Ginger is upside down. Rocky and the vegetables fall into the machine. Rocky and Ginger are stuck in the dough. Rocky stuffs a carrot into the machine. Rocky and Ginger are in the oven. Ginger puts a wrench under the door and saves Rocky. The machine is going to explode. Mrs. Tweedy unplugs it. Ginger tells the other chickens about the machine. Rocky and Ginger meet on the roof. Movie Sentences #8 In the morning, Rocky is gone. He leaves Ginger the circus poster. He was shot from a canon. He cannot fly. Rocky escaped under the fence. Ginger is very discouraged. The chickens start to fight with each other. Ginger sees the medal on the ground. Fowler shows her a picture of a plane. Ginger decided to build a plane! Ginger gives the rats some eggs and they bring her supplies. The chickens build a plane. Meanwhile, Mr. Tweedy is fixing the pie machine. Ginger is worried. She tells the chickens, Go, go, go go! Movie Sentences #9 Back at the farm, Mr.Tweedy finally fixes the machine. Mrs.Tweedy wants to kill all the chickens! Mr.Tweedy goes to get the chickens. However, the chickens jump on him, tie him up, and hide him under the hut. The chickens must escape quickly in the airplane! Fowler does not know how to fly the plane, but he agrees to be the pilot. They try to take off with pedal power, but they need more power. Mr.Tweedy knocks over the ramp and the plane turns around. Ginger tries to fix the ramp. Mrs.Tweedy knocks her down. At that moment, Rocky returns on his bike. He lands on Mrs.Tweedy. Rocky and Ginger lift the ramp together. A string of lights get caught on the wheels of the plane. Ginger hits him and then tries to kiss him. Mrs.Tweedy is also hanging onto the lights. She has an ax in her teeth. Ginger leans out of the plane and tries to cut the string of lights with a pair of scissors. Mrs.Tweedy is climbing closer and closer. Ginger falls out of the plane, but is hanging onto the lights. The rats throw eggs at Mrs.Tweedy. Mrs.Tweedy tries to cut off Gingers head, but Ginger ducks. Mrs.Tweedy cuts the string instead. She falls through the air into her own pie machine. The machine explodes. We did it everyone! Ginger says happily. All the chickens cheer. Ginger kisses Rocky. They fly to an island. It is a bird sanctuary. They are safe and free!
