WG Noise Meeting Antwerp, Noisella was 24-25 a curious April girl, 2014 disruptive and very very noisy. According to her mum and her grandparents, she was maybe even a little too much. She really liked to create confusion, she liked to wake her grandfather up when he was sleeping after lunch. She would hide behind his armchair and from behind the armrest she would cry Wake up! Wakeee upppp!!! and make her grandfather jump up and send his glasses, his blanket and his newspaper flying. She really liked to disturb her Dad when he was writing his book in his study. She would silently open the door and hide herself under the desk and then start to play her tambourine, until her dad got so annoyed that he would close his book and go to make himself a chamomile tea. She also enjoyed playing her trombone when her sister had just got to sleep, and listening to music at full volume when her Mum had a headache. She loved to ring people s doorbells, sneak into her parents car and beep the horn just to make noise and also scream very very loud until she gave herself a sore throat. 11

WG Noise Meeting Antwerp, One 24-25 day Marisa, April 2014 her little old cat, was curled up on the sofa purring because she was nice and warm on a velvet cushion. Noisella suddenly started to whistle loudly like her friend had taught her, with two fingers in her mouth. She wouldn t stop even though her cat was looking at her in pain. Marisa was a wise cat with the power that all old house cats have, and she decided to cast a spell: all that day, Noisella could eat noises. Every time her little ears heard something, her mouth could taste it. Noisella didn t realize straight away what had happened and that afternoon she went out for a walk. 12

WG Noise Meeting Antwerp, To 24-25 get to the April park that 2014 she wanted to visit, she had to walk for a long time. Firstly she had to cross a busy road. What noise! At the first beep of a horn, she could taste cough syrup strongly on her tongue, that bitter yellow one that her Mum claimed was banana flavoured, but was really just disgusting. Then a noisy motorbike went past that had the taste of cabbage. How awful! A man cried something of not so kind to on other one and he tasted of boiled fish, a mother scolded his child and she tasted of shampoo when it accidentally was in your month, the crying of a baby tasted of turnip. Noisella felt desperate! He tried not listen to anything, but she could not stay always with her ears plugged. She decided therefore not annoying the dog as usual, but when it saw her, remembering how many times she had been naughty, it get angry again, beginning to bark furiously and it tasted of liver! All those loud noises that always amused now tasted of all the things she never liked, the alarm of a car tasted of lentils, the drill of raw of onion, a jackhammer of chicken s skin, a lawn mower of broccoli! 13

Finally she arrived at the park, she relaxed weary and disgusted in a grass and she tried to take off her hands from her ears. Suddenly a sparrow started to chirp and it tasted of fries, two young lovers were talking softly, how was good, it tasted of chocolate! A child burst into laughter that tasted of a strawberry candy, a boy played a guitar that tasted of piastchio ice cream, a girl played a song of candyfloss, a little cat meowed of pizza. 14

Noisella with month watering fell asleep. When she woke up the spell was finished, but when she come back home she knocked on door silently without dinging, get off her shoes and on tiptoe went to greet her Mum. She whispered a sing to her sister who was sleeping, payed attention not slam the door for not disturb his father and his grandfather. Then she was on sofa with Marisa imaging that her purr tasted of jam. 15
