The Lowestoft Dog Agility Display Team 2012 www.lowestoftdogteam.co.uk

The Lowestoft Dog Agility Display Team Events and Venues attended The A Team attends many events, large and small around Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex! Venues include village greens, school and community playing fields; Henham Park; Suffolk, Mid-Suffolk, Norfolk and East of England Showgrounds; even on the sand at Hemsby Beach! Events include Car and Steam Rallies, Fun Days, Carnivals and Fetes, Dog Shows Comments from two major event organisers Aztec Events - 2011 was the first season working with Aztec Events and we re back with them for three events in 2012! All About Dogs, Suffolk Showground "We are looking forward to seeing you again at Norfolk in August. Well done over the weekend and what a fantastic display you put on." Robin Hood Game & Country Show - Really enjoyed the show from lowestoft @dogagilityteam at the @GameCountrySFLK - especially the flaming hoops!! Well done team. Just Dogs Live, East of England Showground - Another biggy and a huge privilege for the team to have been invited. First time at East of England Showground, a great weekend, enjoyed by all the team! The amazing Lowestoft Dog Agility Display Team simply blew visitors away with their fast and furious agility show. Pepper, Star, Skye and friends were seen jumping through the fire hoops, racing through the tunnels and jumping over countless benches. A totally energetic performance from the team.

Arena Requirements In order to carry out a safe and effective display we require a minimum amount of space, but prefer to have more if possible. Access is required for one car and the equipment trailer to a point within, or immediately adjacent to, the arena. Our preference is for the trailer and towing vehicle to remain within, and across one end of, the arena for the duration of the display. Our displays are best viewed from both sides and across the end opposite to our trailer. Some of the equipment is rather heavy and we prefer to minimise the distance it is carried. Parking spaces will also be needed for team members cars, a position in the shade would be appreciated if at all possible. The minimum arena dimensions are 45 m X 25 m (150 ft X 80 ft) The trailer and towing vehicle are 8.3 metres long (an additional 2.2 m clearance is needed for the rear drop door), 1.7 m wide (+ 1.4 m for the upward opening, side door) & 2.36 m high. If there is a height barrier at the venue, the trailer needs sufficient clearance. The arena should have a reasonably smooth grass surface and be roped off to keep the audience clear of the dogs and handlers, who will be moving rather quickly at certain times during the routine. We do not want any accidents to dogs, handlers or members of the public! Commentary We provide a lively and entertaining commentary with our displays and can supply our own portable PA system if required. If your event has PA covering the venue it would be preferable for us to use that. If there is a radio microphone (or a fixed mike at a suitable vantage point our commentator needs to see the whole arena) so much the better. We also request that, as much as is possible, any other noises, such as loud music or sudden sharp noises, be constrained for the duration of the display(s). Insurance & Safety The team has public liability insurance, a copy of which along with our Risk Assessment will be available for event organisers. Copies of these documents will always accompany the equipment trailer. The team will have with them at events both First Aid and Hygiene Kits as well as Fire Extinguishers (Water type) and additional water in containers for the prevention of fire spreading to grass from fire jumps. All of the team handlers carry poo bags to clean up should there be any accidents. Testimonials (These are all extracts from genuine emails from various event organisers and the public who have seen our displays) Hi firstly I d like to say how much I enjoyed your display in Lowestoft today. Thank you all so much for a SPLENDID display at our fete, it was much enjoyed by all!! Many thanks for your most entertaining and enjoyable performance at our fete. I hope this date is still clear in your diary as you have been a very popular show in the main ring. Please pass on our thanks to your team and the dogs it was a joy to watch. Hope to see you again next year. We so much enjoyed your display this year we would love to invite you again! Our Fete next year will be on Saturday 3rd July, please can we book you? We certainly had a lot of good reports from last year and everyone enjoyed the show. After your very successful appearance at this year's rally we would like to invite your team back again next year. We had a great time watching the display you must all work very hard to get to this standard. The public and all competitors so enjoy your displays and all are impressed at the standard of training to get your dogs to complete all their events. Doubtless one of our 'star turns' last year, and I know you will be again this year You supplied us last year with a very entertaining and much liked show, we are in the process of organising the date of our village fete for this year, and would like you to attend again. We are all really looking forward to seeing the show. My team was impressed by your shows and we'd love to be able to work with you again given the opportunity. Thought your show at Stowmarket Carnival yesterday was great. We also watched the displays e.g., The Lowestoft Dog Agility these were brilliant! Thank you for putting on such a good display. It was really enjoyable. The comments from the public were extremely positive. Many thanks for a very successful contribution - everyone I spoke to loved "the dogs". I and the Rally Committee would be delighted for you to join us again on both days of next year's rally "We are looking forward to seeing you again at Norfolk in August. Well done over the weekend and what a fantastic display you put on." Congratulations on a great display today in Kessingland! We really enjoyed it, the dogs are adorable. "Thank you for another great display. always a crowd pleaser!" Great show again this year - we'd expect no less!!!! Huge thanks to all of you.
