AWARDS The ECSCA National Field Trial Championship Trophy - a sterling silver plate, offered by Mr. David W. Flanagan to the owner of the 2012 NCC winner. For permanent possession, to be won three times by the identical owner(s), not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive National Field Trials. Possession to be retained by the ECSCA until terms of possession have been met. The ECSCA National Field Trial Championship Trophy - The Ballymena Farm Challenge Trophy, a bronze sculpture by artist Walter Matia of an English Cocker Spaniel with bird, mounted on a wooden base, is formally offered by Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Brown through the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America, Inc. for competition at its National Cocker Championship only. For permanent possession, it must be won five times by identical owner(s), not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive events. The trophy will remain in possession of the ECSCA until such time as it is awarded. A commemorative engraved plaque with club logo will be awarded to each National Cocker Championship winner. Annual High Point Awards Points start accumulating with the 1st trial after the previous years' NCC and ending with the NCC placements. High Point Dog Award - Open Stakes Won by the dog with the most points accumulated in the Open Stake for the 2012 field trial season. A perpetual trophy donated by Spaniels in the Field, The High Point Trophy is dedicated to the memory of "Puppie", field -bred American Cocker owned by Kuni Y. Smith. The faithful reproduction of her beloved companion was crafted by noted sculptor Karl Lansing. 'Puppie" will be remembered as great hunting dog and loyal, faithful companion. A Crystal Trophy will be awarded to the winner. High Point Dog in the Amateur All-Age Stakes Crystal Trophy offered by Lisa Brown who won the award last year. High Point Dog in the Puppy Stakes Crystal Trophy offered by Linda Simon and Nadine Kohn. High Point Handler in the Open All-Age Stakes Crystal Trophy to winner. High Point Handler in the Amateur All-Age Stakes Crystal Trophy offered by Minnesota Hunting Spaniel Association. DUNGARVAN READY-TEDDY Challenge Award For the high point lady handler in the Nation. It combines both Open and Amateur points for a given year. The award is being given in memory of Mrs. Wilhelmina Garvan and Mrs. Ruth Greening. The history of this award was that it was designated for the best lady handler in the Cocker National. The award was initiated by Billie Garvan and won by Mrs. Greening. The award is being made possible through the generosity of Mrs. Noel Cacchio, Billie s daughter, and Miss Mykenzie Lea Cotiaux. It is to honor those lady handlers of the past, present and future and their accomplishments afield. The trophy is to be retained by the winner for one year. Dominique Savoie, the first winner of this award, offers a trophy for possession by the winner. Harold Bixby Award The Harold S. Bixby Service Award is given to this year s recipient, who has continuously, unselfishly and distinctly give of them self to advance the cause of English Cockers in the field, and exemplifies the high standards set by Harold S. Bixby. A crystal trophy is offered by the Cascade Cocker Club.
