EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN) All dogs that are foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events requires an Event Registration Number (ERN). The ERN does not register the dog with the CKC for breeding purposes but enables a foreign born and foreign owned dog to be awarded titles by the CKC. To obtain an ERN do the following: Send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership with a written request for an ERN. Include payment of $55.00 plus HST in Canadian funds. Accounts may be paid with personal or business cheques, money order, Visa, or MasterCard. For non-members, please note that if paying by cheque, the cheque must be certified. Non-residents of Canada, please note that discounted cheques or money orders will not be accepted due to fluctuating currency rates. Provide your full return address. Faxed requests will be accepted. Please ensure your Visa or MasterCard number is legible and that you have included your expiry date and signature. An ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request for a 30-day extension. No dogs under the age of 6 (six) months shall be allowed within the show precincts. Only dogs entered in one of the regular official classes shall be allowed within the show precincts. Junior Puppy Dogs 6 months of age and under 9 months of age on the day of the show. Senior Puppy Dogs 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show. 12 to 18 months on the day of the show. Canadian Bred Dogs born in Canada only. Champions of any country excluded. Bred By Exhibitor Dogs owned by and handled in the ring by the breeder. Open For all dogs. Specials Only Dogs which have a recorded CKC Registration number or an Event Registration Number and have attained the required points for Championship status. Should a dog which is entered in this class be found either not to be registered, or has not completed the requirements for championship status, all awards earned at the show will be cancelled. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy in Breed, if eligible. NOTE: A dog that completes the requirements for a championship title after the closing date for entries for the show, but whose championship is unconfirmed by the CKC may be transferred form the regular classes to "Specials Only" provided that the request for transfer is submitted in writing by the owner or handler at least 1 (one) hour prior to the opening of the show. Exhibition Only All dogs entered shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as for a dog entered in competition. NOTE Dogs 3months of age and under 6 monthsof age on the day of the show may be entered in Exhibition Only, provided that the ownerof the puppy has also entereda dog in one of the regular classesin the show(s) on that day. No dog under six months of age is permitted to enter the show premises except, preregistered puppies 3-6 months of age, thet are with the owner who has other dog(s) entered in regular classes of the show. These puppies will not be listed in the catalogue but must be pre-registered by the owner at, or before, the closing date and time of entries. 2. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by the entry fee. 3. Tendering of an NSF cheque as payment of entry fees shall be considered to be nonpayment of entry fees and is an offense punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. 4. Entrants must abide by any errors made in entering their dogs. The Show Secretary will not be responsible for checking the accuracy of entries. Errors should be brought to the attention of the Show Secretary. 5. The committee reserves the right to refuse entries subject to CKC rules. 6. The Show Secretary will be unable to accept or cancel entries after the closing date. 7. Telephone, fax, or any other electronic entries are prohibited except in such circumstances as the CKC Board of Directors may otherwise authorize. (13.4.1 Dog Show Rules) 8. Visa, MasterCard & American Express Accepted CHAMPIONSHIP POINT RATINGS The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated dog-awarded winners shall be: Dogs competing (including dog awarded winners): In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from their ring by the judge shall be included in the calculation for championship points. In order for a dog to be recognized as a champion it must win at least 10 points under 3 different judges, which includes at least one 2-point win. This 2-point win must be at the breed or group level.

JUNIOR HANDLING Junior handling will be held Sunday during the lunch break.. Class Structure Peewee Children up to 6 years of age. This is a non-competitive class. Junior Novice Handlers 6 to 11 years old who have not achieved four first placements in this class. Junior Open Handlers 6 to 11 years of age who have achieved four first placements in the Novice class or any handler wishing to enter this level. Once the handler has entered and competed in the Open class, he cannot compete in the Novice class again. Senior Novice Handlers 12 to 17 years of age who have not achieved four first placements in this class. Senior Open Handlers 12 to 17 years of age who have received four first placements in the Senior Novice class. Handlers who have previously competed in an open class in either junior or senior. Handlers who have progressed through the Junior Open class and feel that they have enough experience to compete at the level. GENERAL INFORMATION On the day of the show, the Show Superintendent has complete charge of the show. After the closing of entries, a receipt, exhibitor's pass and judging schedule will be mailed to all exhibitors. Exhibitor's passes must be presented at the entrance of the show premises. Only dogs entered in the show will be admitted. The building will be opened one hour before the show starts. Dogs may be removed from the building when not required for judging. Dogs must not be left in the building over night. Judging will proceed without any dog, if the dog is not present when called by the Ring Steward. The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident or other misfortune to either dogs or patrons. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made. We regret that trailer hookups will not be available at the show site. No person officiating at a show held under CKC Dog Show Rules shall be subjected to indignities of any kind during the progress of the show, and it is the duty and obligation of the Show-giving club to see that this rule is effectively carried out. (CKC Dog Show Rules Chapter 8, Section 8) No person participating in any capacity at a dog show held under CKC rules shall be subjected to indignities of any kind during the progress of the show. The show grounds are defined as the exterior wall of St. Kevin s Parish Hall, Gould' (excluding the Show Photographer s booth area). The authorities of the show may decline to accept entries for just cause, or may remove any dog from the show premises due to disease or viciousness. In the case of refusal of entries, the fee shall be returned with the reason for refusal. No one shall have any claim or recourse against the organization holding the show or any official connected therewith for the refusal of entry. Notice to Exhibitors 1.
