REGIONAL JUDGE Dr. Robert D Smith PO Box 309 St. Stephens Church, VA 23148-0309 Robert D. Smith, of St. Stephens, Virginia, began exhibiting dogs in 1960. His first breed was German Shepherd Dogs, but his career was changed forever when his wife, Polly, bought him an American Foxhound puppy as a gift. Dr. and Mrs. Smith together bred three generations of Best in Show American Foxhounds and five generations of group winners. As an owner-handler, Dr. Smith had the top-winning American Foxhound for seven consecutive years and is a three-time nominee for Owner-Handler of the Year. Dr. Smith, an all-breed judge since 1996, has judged at the 2002 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship (Hound Group), 2005 AKC/Eukanuba National, and International Kennel Club of Chicago shows. He has held every conceivable office in dog clubs from Tennessee to Michigan to Mississippi to Alabama to Virginia, including all-breed, obedience, group, and specialty clubs and is a former member of the AKC Board of Directors. Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in political science and taught college for 12 years. He then developed and ran statewide small-business assistance programs in Virginia and Mississippi. REGIONAL SWEEPSTAKES & JR. HANDLING JUDGE Michelle Yeadon 23923-36A Ave. Langley, B.C. V2Z 2J6 I have often said that I was born and bred into the sport of pure bred dogs. I have been a professional handler since 1989 and I am a member of the Canadian Professional Handlers Association as well the American Professional Handlers Association. Through this sport I have been very blessed with the opportunity to travel the world and have been to many amazing places: Most of Canada, US, Mexico, Bermuda and Japan. I have received over 200 Best in Shows, including winning Best in Shows from all 7 groups. I have been handling pugs for almost the entirety of my handling career and have garnered numerous best in shows and group wins with pugs. I have finished numerous pugs in Canada as well as the United States. I have often said if I did not breed boxers, I would breed pugs as they are very dear to my heart. I am in the early stages of starting a judging career. I have judged sweepstakes at the Arizona Boxer Club Specialty, the East Bay Boxer Club Specialty, San Diego Boxer Club Specialty, Boxer Club of Canada s National Specialty Sweepstakes in Ontario, Canada. Most recently I judged the 2012 ABC Top Twenty Competition as the handler judge. In 2015 I was nominated and won the honour of judging the Boxer National Futurity in Indianapolis. I have also judged numerous All- Breed Sweepstakes in Canada. I relish spending time with my family, handling beautiful dogs, and breeding beautiful boxers.
