(Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, particolor), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agiilty, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as All- American Dog/Mixed Breed. Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants. Additional restrictions may result on future entries for the offender. ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date, nor if the dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by the Event Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. If because of riots, civil disturbances, weather or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entries will be made. IF A DOG IS ENTERED in more than one class, the highest priced class shall be considered the first entry. The show giving club may decline any entries for cause or indebtedness to the club over thirty days past due. The club may refuse to receive or may remove any dog from the show premises due to disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the club or any official thereof for such action. NO ENTRY shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance, this includes post dated checks or requesting checks to be held until a certain date. To be acceptable an entry must be submitted with the required entry fee on an official AKC entry form. DOGS entered in a wrong class may not be transferred to another class. HANDLERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THEIR DOGS ARE ENTERED IN THE CORRECT CLASS. Any change request must be received in writing prior to the closing date and time. RALLY REGULATIONS Section 1 - Rally Novice Class: All exercises are judged on leash and all dogs must enter and leave the ring on a leash. The leash must be made of fabric or leather and needs to be long enough to provide adequate slack. The Rally Novice A Class: To be eligible for entry in this class, dogs may not have won an AKC Rally Novice (RN) title or any AKC obedience title prior to the close of entries. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member of the owner s household or immediate family. The handler may not have previously handled any dog that has earned an AKC rally title or any AKC obedience title. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. After a dog earns the Rally Novice (RN) title, it may continue to compete in this class for 60 days. No dog may be entered in both Rally Novice A and Rally Novice B at anyone trial. The Rally Novice B Class: Any dog may be entered in this class until a qualifying score In the Rally Advanced class is earned. The owner or any other person may handle dogs In this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Rally Novice A and Rally Novice B at anyone trial. Section 2 - Advanced Rally Class: All exercises are judged off leash. All dogs must enter and leave the ring on leash. Section :3 - Rally Excellent Class: All exercises are judged off leash except the Honor exercise. Handlers must provide a 6 foot leash when participating in the Honor exercise. All dogs must enter and leave the ring on leash. The Rally Excellent A Class: To be eligible for entry into this class, competing dogs shall have won the Rally Advanced (RA) title, but have not won the Rally Excellent (RE) title or any AKC obedience title,prior to the close of entries. A handler must own the dog entered or be a member of the owner s household or immediate family. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. After earning the Rally Excellent (RE) title, a dog may continue to compete in this class for 60 days. No dog may be entered in both Rally Excellent A and Rally Excenent B at anyone trial. The Rally Excellent B Class: To be eligible for entry in this class, competing dogs shall have won the Rally Advanced (RA) title prior to the close of entries. A dog completing the Rally Excellent (RE) title may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. No dog may be entered in both Rally Excellent A and Rally Excellent B at any one trial. OFA and CERF numbers (other titles/certificates are not printed in AKC catalogs) Please help us make sure your entries are correct which may include OFA and CERF numbers and which will be listed in the show catalog. The complete numbers should be written on the entry form following the name of the dog. If not using the attached entry form, please make sure you are using the most current one available on AKC through downloading. EVENT RULES ALL DOGS shall be held on leash except when in the Obedience Ring. There shall be no drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. The use of corrective devices is strictly prohibited on the show grounds. Exhibitors must be governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities or building parking regulations. EXHIBITORS and HANDLERS will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates and for cleaning up after their dogs. DOGS SHOULD BE PRESENT in ample time before their scheduled judging time and they may be removed as soon as they are no longer needed for competition. Once brought into the grounds, a dog entered in this show may not be withheld from competition unless excused by a Judge, Veterinarian or the Event Committee. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT for any dog holding up a class. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance to the judging ring when the class is scheduled to be judged. Owners or handlers of the dog are solely responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. It is not the responsibility of the ring steward to locate any dog, its owner or handler when the dog s presence is needed in the show ring. Only dogs entered at this show are allowed on show grounds. THE MANAGEMENT will exercise every precaution for the safety of the dogs exhibited and it is understood that neither the club nor the management nor the landlord will be responsible for the loss of. damage to, or any other damage caused by any dog for any cause. THE EVENT COMMITTEE will use due diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in the show. THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR S CHILD is the responsibility of the exhibitor, who must exercise control and restraint over the child while the child is on the show premises. Failure to do so will result in action by the Event Committee. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Rottweiler Club of Alaska does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the official AKC entry form for this event. THERE WILL BE NO INDOOR CRATING OFFERED AT THIS TRIAL. The Open A Class shall be for dogs that have won the CD title but have not won the COX title. Anyone who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned an OTCH may not enter or handle dogs in this class. Each dog must be handled by its owner or by a member of the owner s household or immediate family. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. The same person shall handle the dog in the group exercises as in the first five exercises; however, he/she must have an additional handler for each additional dog, when more than one dog is judged in the same group for Long Sit and Long Down. No dog may be entered in both the Open A and Open B classes at anyone trial. SECTION 2 OPEN CLASS B. The Open B class will be for dogs that have won the CD or COX titles.
