To comply with CKC, no entries will be accepted, altered, cancelled, or substituted after the official closing date and time for entries (except as provided for in Chapter 13, Section 13.4 of the Conformation Show Rules). BOOSTERS AT RED DEER AND DISTRICT ALL BREED SHOW The Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada is pleased to award a prize to the Newfoundland Dog achieving the highest qualifying score at the Red Deer and District all breed Obedience trial on Saturday November 4. CLASSIFICATIONS The following CKC classes (divided by sex) will be provided: Baby Puppy for dogs 3 months of age but under 6 months of age (Non-Regular Class) Junior Puppy... for dogs 6 months of age but under 9 months of age Senior Puppy... for dogs 9 months of age but under 12 months of age 12-15 Months... for dogs 12 months of age but under 15 months of age 15-18 Months... for dogs 15 months of age but under 18 months of age Canadian Bred... for dogs born in Canada; champions in any country excluded Bred By Exhibitor... for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder Open... for all dogs. This class will be divided by colour Black & Landseer Field (Draft) Dog for any dog that holds a CKC Draft title (DD, DDX, BDD, BDDX). Field dogs do not compete for Winners, but the winner of these classes shall go on to compete for Best of Breed. DOGS COMPETING IN THIS CLASS MAY BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. +7 9 Years Veteran... +9 Years & older Veteran Specials Only... Exhibition Only... for any dog, 7 years of age but under 9 years of age for any dog, 9 years of age and older Veteran dogs do not compete for Winners, but the winners of these classes shall go on to compete for Best of Breed. DOGS COMPETING IN THIS CLASS MAY BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. dogs which are registered individually, in the records of the Canadian Kennel Club or have a CKC ERN and have attained championship status may be entered in the "Specials Only" class. Entry of a dog in "Specials Only" is not prohibited on the grounds that the title of champion has not been confirmed by the CKC, but if it is found later that the dog had not attained championship status before the entry had been made, then all awards attained at the show will be cancelled. The entry of a 'listed' dog in Specials Only is not allowed. for all dogs over 3 months of age and eligible for registration with the Canadian Kennel Club NON-REGULAR, UNOFFICIAL & SWEEPSTAKES CONFORMATION CLASSES TO COMPETE IN THE JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES CLASS, DOGS MUST BE ENTERED IN A REGULAR CLASS, OR FOR SPECIALS ONLY. ENTRY IN THE JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES FROM THE EXHBITION ONLY CLASS IS NOT PERMITTED. DOGS ENTERED IN THE VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE ENTERED IN EXHIBITION ONLY. Sweepstakes will immediately precede the Specialty Classes. Champions are permitted in all Sweepstakes. Juvenile Sweepstakes Veteran Sweepstakes Classes will be divided by sex as follows: 3-6 months 6-9 months 7 9 years 9-12 months 9 years and older 12-15 months 15-18 months

Non Regular Classes All dogs must be entered in a Regular class: Veterans, Field Class, Specials Only or for Exhibition Only (this includes Baby Puppies) to compete in the following Non-Regular Classes. Stud Dog Stud dog and TWO or more of his Get, not necessarily owned by the same owner. Get MUST be entered in a Regular Class, making baby puppies ineligible. Brood Bitch Brood bitch and TWO or more of her Progeny, not necessarily owned by the same owner. Progeny MUST be entered in a Regular Class, making baby puppies ineligible. Brace Two dogs (not necessarily of the same sex) shown on one lead, ownership need not be identical. OBEDIENCE TRIAL Friday evening after Red Deer & District Kennel Club s High in Trial Unofficial Obedience Classes PLEASE NOTE: Dogs entered in non-regular or unofficial classes must be entered in a regular class in the trial or for Exhibition Only. Brace two dogs of either sex that have attained at least a Canadian CD title, not necessarily with the same ownership. Veteran Dogs which have attained at least a Canadian CD title and are age seven years or older. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of the above shows and trials, which will be governed by CKC Rules. 2. Any dog excused by the Show Superintendent or the Show Veterinarian for any reason shall not, after being excused, compete in any class for any award for the balance of the show. 3. The show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors patrons, or equipment. 4. A Judge or any person participating in any capacity at a Dog Show held under C.K.C. rules shall not be subjected to any indignity of any kind during the progress of the show and it shall be the duty and obligation of the Club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. 5. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct or actions of their animals while they are on the show grounds. 6. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The club will not be responsible for and is not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agents of breed or class judging. The ring shall not be held up waiting for exhibitors or handlers. 7. The owner of a dog entered in these shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his dog, regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. 8. A dog once disqualified for any reason at a championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown at a show held under these rules until the dog has been examined by an official committee appointed by the CKC and the committee finds the dog is free from the condition which prompted the disqualification. Application for reinstatement must be accompanied with a fee set by CKC which shall be forfeited to the CKC if the examining committee is satisfied that the dog should remain disqualified. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this rule shall be canceled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action. 9. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please exercise your dog BEFORE taking it to the Judging ring. 10. No entry fee will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the club. 11. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from completion by action of the Show Committee. JUDGES SECTION 19.7 It shall be the duty and obligation of the show-giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event held under these rules is not subject to indignities. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. Attention Foreign Exhibitors: Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks.
