The new, expanded Provo Air Center upgrades the previous facility in a new location with a more luxurious 9350 square foot space, enhanced privacy and security, 15 additional acres of ramp capable of hosting up to Boeing 777s, expanded pilot facilities, multiple arrival and departure halls with enhanced flexibility, private conference rooms, dining space, gift shop, special children s lounge, dedicated pet area and complimentary upgraded Wi- Fi throughout the entire facility, including the ramp. The building s design references the vernacular architectural language of the Turks and Caicos Islands and its centuries old salt-raking history.
The first of its kind in the world, our innovative Runica Customs Hall makes us completely unique. We ll pick you up in a passenger buggy right at your aircraft and take you on a drive right through the Hall, with short stops in front of the Customs and Immigration desks. Adjacent to the Grand Salon, the Club Lounge is an intimate place to relax and enjoy glimpses of the peaceful courtyard garden. Sliding walls make the space as intimate or open as you wish, which means that families, flying clubs or anyone wishing extra privacy can have their own lounge.
Next door, children have their own lounge to keep them occupied while they wait for their flight or hotel transport. A child sized art table holds paper and drawing materials, and empty frames await their own creations.
The coffee bar features espresso, cappuccino and a variety of coffees from around the world. The dog park is a welcome first stop for our canine guests. A fenced private park provides a safe place for dog walking or for pets to enjoy some freedom before and after their flights. If you are bringing pets with you on your trip you must apply for and receive a stamped Certificate of Pet Import IN ADVANCE from our local Turks and Caicos Dept. of Agriculture. Information for Aircraft Technicians If your aircraft is currently at our facility awaiting repair you will probably be sending one or more maintenance technicians shortly. Before you dispatch any Technicians: It is imperative that you or any maintenance subcontractor you employ be advised that they will be required by our local Immigration Department to have a temporary work permit issued for each technician upon arrival. Traveling With Pets The Turks and Caicos Islands Government has recently adopted some strict rules on the importation of animals. If you are bringing pets with you on your trip you must apply for and receive a stamped Certificate of Pet Import IN ADVANCE from our local Turks and Caicos Dept. of Agriculture. Without it, your pet, and very likely you, will be denied entry into the country. A fee of US $50 must be paid in cash (USD only) upon arrival in the country (per animal). If they do not obtain the permit they will be denied entrance into the Turks and Caicos. The permit is issued upon payment of a $700.00 per person fee, and only cash (USD) is accepted. Technicians will also need to present a list of tools with corresponding value. Customs will charge 7.5% of the total value. If you provide this in advance we will take care of it along with the temporary work permit. Otherwise, the technician must be prepared to pay it directly to Customs upon arrival, IN CASH (USD). Reference Information Some dog breeds are actually prohibited from entering the Turks and Caicos, including Akita Canario Any breed of Bulldog Doberman Pinscher Any breed of Mastiff Dogo Argentino Any Pit Bull including the Fila Brazilliero American Staffordshire Japanese Tosa Terrier, the Pit Bull Terrier, Jindo the Staffordshire Bull Kuvasz Terrier and a mixed-breed Rhodesian Ridgeback dog which has any Pit Bull Roman Fighting Dog lineage.
