By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. NO SET-UP available on Wednesday evening. NO overnight parking allowed. The site is a Christmas tree farm. Please do NOT allow your dogs to relieve themselves on the Christmas trees! The road to the agility site is a single-lane driveway with a speed limit of 15 miles per hour. Please go SLOWLY and watch for on-coming vehicles. No food vendor on site. A Little George s Convenience Store with sandwiches and subs is 1 mile away, a New York J & P Pizza restaurant is 2 miles away. Crate-aggressive dogs should be covered and must not be positioned close to the ring or heavilytrafficked walkways. Smokers, please be considerate and pick up your cigarette butts. Puppies under 6 months are strictly prohibited from the grounds, and will be excused from the crating area. Entries fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Show Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in Agility Trials. The Club will refund all but ten (10) dollars per day of the entry fee for bitches unable to compete for that reason upon presentation of a note from a veterinarian stating that the bitch is in season. The Trial Secretary must be notified of such claim for refund at the show prior to the start of classes or by letter postmarked September 21 or earlier. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Show committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. This is a *perfect* trial to learn a new job If you ve been thinking about scribing, assistant scribing, timing or course-building but have been intimidated by the Excellent classes, this is a great time to get your feet wet! If no AKC Field Representative or Volunteer Measuring Official is present, the judge of record will wicket all dogs, except for those in the 24 and 26 class, before they run. That measurement will be for that weekend of trials only. If a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present, ALL dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Yellow Form must be measured at some time during the trial. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or have obtained an AKC ILP or PAL number, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. OBSTACLES AND RING CONDITIONS Obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of Regulations for Agility. All classes will take place outdoors on grass. Ring size will be 100 x 100. COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM-UPS Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. The walk-through allows handlers to plan their strategy for running the course. A walkthrough period will be held prior to each class, following the judge s briefing. The walk-though is restricted to handlers entered only in that class. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors. Exhibitors may not use the warm-up area to relieve their dogs. RIBBONS AND PRIZES Ribbon and a dog toy or treat (valued at $1.00 - $3.00) will be awarded to the 1st through 4th place dog in each jump height in each class. First Place..... Blue Second Place...
