The silk trade and the spread of hristianity, Islam and uddhism helped cats spread through sia and frica. y 1400, domestic cats were found throughout Europe and much of frica and sia. Phase 3: 1400 1850 European colonization brought domestic cats to North and South merica. Most ships had cats to control rodents. ats were accidentally spread to some areas by shipwrecks.
