ANTI-BARK COLLAR INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Thank you for having chosen an educational collar from the Effitek range and we hope that it will give you much satisfaction. The Effitek anti-bark collar is suitable for all dog breeds and types. Designed in collaboration with behavioural specialists, it respects your dog. This product must only be used to remedy a dog's unwanted barking problem. Read these instructions carefully before use. 1 - Case composition 2 - Unit presentation and operating principle 3 - Using the device 3.1 - Choice of electrodes 3.2 - Inserting the battery 3.3 - Switching the device on 3.4 - Adjusting the collar to the dog's neck 4 - Operating modes 4.1 - Different operating modes 4.2 - Operating mode selection 5 - Switching the device off 6 - Battery state indicator 7 - Precautions for use 8 - Instructions in the event of a malfunction I - CASE COMPOSITION - Electrostatic stimulus Anti-bark unit (approximately 80 g) - 3V Lithium battery - A strap and loop - Disc/magnet for opening the battery access panel and for switching the device on - Warranty card - Instructions for use - A bulb to check the operation of the unit - 2 sets of electrodes (short / long) II - UNIT PRESENTATION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE 1 Battery access panel 2 Location of the magnetic contact for switching the device on (green point) 3 Luminous indicator: LED 4 Electrode contact points 4 1 2 3 4 Anti-bark collar instructions for use - 1/4

When it barks, your dog will hear and/or receive a stimulus. The dog will make the connection between its barking and the stimulus and will stop barking. It may take your dog several days before making that association. Without the collar, your dog will go back to barking. The collar must not be round your dog's neck all the time but only when you want it not to bark. III - USING THE DEVICE 3.1 - Choice of electrodes 2 sets of electrodes are provided. Choose the electrodes according to your dog's hair: long-haired dog = long electrodes short-haired dog = short electrodes To fix the electrodes on the collar, clamping by hand, with no tools, is sufficient. 3.2 - Inserting the battery Unscrew the battery panel with the disc/screwdriver. Insert the 3V lithium battery observing the polarity shown on the unit. 3.3 - Switching the device on Move the disc/magnet quickly over of the green point (magnetic contact): there is an audible beep + the green LED lights up for 50 ms: the device is ready for use. The collar is set to mode 1 (cf. Section 4 Different operating modes ) The device is ready (waiting for barking): the green LED flashes every 4 seconds. 3.4 - Adjusting the collar to the dog's neck Place the collar on the dog's neck, tightening it sufficiently (put a finger between the collar and the animal's neck). Check your dog's neck regularly. Do not use the collar for more than 8 hours a day. IV - OPERATING MODES 4.1 - Operating modes Each stimulus is shown by the LED lighting up. Mode 1: Emission of an audible beep and 8 gradual levels of electrostatic stimuli depending on the barking frequency. An audible beep precedes the electrostatic stimulus so that the dog makes the connection between the beep and the stimulus. On the first barking, a beep and a level 1 electrostatic stimulus are given off, warning the dog. If the dog continues barking within 10 seconds, it receives a second, level 2, electrostatic stimulus. The increase continues until the barking stops or it reaches level 8. The dog adjusts the electrostatic stimulus to its level of sensitivity. The level of stimulus at which the dog stopped barking is stored in memory until the next barking. If there is no barking for 5 minutes, the intensity of the stimulus goes down one level and so on down to level 1. Your dog will not receive more than two level 8 static corrections. After the 2nd level 8 correction, the collar automatically switches back to level 1 and reinitiates the graduated procedure. Anti-bark collar instructions for use - 2/4

The collar automatically adjusts the level of electrostatic stimulus according to the dog's sensitivity and the frequency of its barking. This mode is recommended in the dog's education phase or for regular use. For best results, be around during the first trials long enough to observe your dog and monitor its progress. Check the electrodes are making good contact on the dog's skin. Mode 2: Audible stimuli only Each time the dog barks, a warning is given in the form of a beep. This mode is recommended for dogs already educated in the collar. A simple audible stimulus is sufficient to stop the barking. Mode 3: Electrostatic stimuli only with gradual increase from level 1 to level 8 The mode 3 operation is the same as that for mode 1 but with no beep given off before the electrostatic stimulus. This mode is used for dogs having difficulty associating the beep and the electrostatic stimuli. MODES STIMULI USE AVAILABLE Mode 1 (factory set mode) Mode 2 Audible beep only For dogs educated with mode 1, the beep alone is sufficient to stop the barking. Mode 3 Audible beep + electrostatic stimulus with The beep serves to warn the dog of For the learning phases. increase in the intensity the electrostatic stimulus. of the stimulus if the The dog gradually associates the barking continues beep and the electrostatic stimulus. Electrostatic stimulus only with increase in the intensity of the stimulus if the barking continues For dogs educated in Mode 1 but which continue to bark in Mode 2. 4.2 - Operating mode selection The collar is set by default to mode 1. Change the mode by passing the magnet over the green point (magnetic contact). The mode is selected by holding the disc/magnet over the green point (magnetic contact): the LED flashes. Care: hold the disc/magnet over the green point for at least 3 seconds for proper recognition. Keep the disc/magnet there until you hear the number of beeps relating to the mode required: MODES AVAILABLE Mode 1 Mode 2 Mode 3 SELECTION Emission of 1 beep + 1 LED flash Emission of 2 beeps + 2 LED flashes Emission of 3 beeps + 3 LED flashes Anti-bark collar instructions for use - 3/4

V - SWITCHING THE DEVICE OFF Turn the device off by moving the magnet quickly over the green point (magnetic contact): emission of 1 long beep + the LED lights up for 1 second. To turn the device off completely, remove the battery. By removing the battery, the collar returns to Mode 1. VI - BATTERY STATE INDICATOR Flat battery = repeated LED flashes every 30 seconds Remove the collar from the dog's neck to change the battery. Replace the battery with a new DYNAVET battery of the same type. Any damage to the device linked to the use of a defective battery invalidates the warranty. On inserting the battery, check the "beep" and that the LED lights up. VII - PRECAUTIONS FOR USE this collar only on dogs of more than 6 months old Before using this collar, ask for your vet's view so as to check there will be no unwanted effects This device is to be used with no other collar around the dog's neck The collar is waterproof For collar storage, remove the battery from the unit only batteries distributed by Dynavet Do not try to open the unit as this would cancel the warranty Keep away from children.
