These requirements meet California Health and Safety Code requirements for low lead (AB1953) as well as the low lead requirements of the US Safe Drinking Water Act of 2014. FAUCET INSTALLATION 1. 2. For best results, Franke recommends that this unit be installed by a licensed, professional plumber-please read over the instructions before beginning the installation. Make sure to observe all local plumbing and building codes during installation of this unit. 3. Remove faucet and hardware from its protective packaging. Disassemble the faucet from the body by removing the set screw in the body and lifting the faucet from the body. 4. Shut off main water supply. 5. This faucet requires a 1/2 NPT male nipple at the desired faucet location for proper installation. The nipple must have adequate bracing to support the faucet. ATTENTION: the faucet is intended for use with cold water only! The water supply nipple should extend from the finished wall between 3/8 and 1/2 (8,5 mm Min - 12,5mm Max). 6. Apply thread sealing tape or thread sealant onto the cold water supply fitting. 7. Slide the escutcheon onto the body and screw the body onto the water supply nipple. ATTENTION: the o-ring should be sitting between the wall and the escutcheon. DO NOT use putty or other sealant at this location. 8. Tighten body and confirm it is horinzontally level. 9. Fix the escutcheon by tightening the screw with the provided allen wrench. 10. Grease the o-rings with the special grease supplied. 11. Insert the faucet into the body. ATTENTION: insert the fixing screw into the white ring slot. 12. Tighten fixing screw with a flat screwdriver. 13. Remove the aerator by turning it counter clock wise with a 22mm wrench. 14. Turn on the faucet and allow it to run for several seconds. This will flush any debris from the faucet from the installation process.while the faucet is on, check for leaks. 15. Turn off the faucet and reinstall the aerator in reverse order of step 13. 4/8
REPLACING THE CARTRIDGE 1. Shut off the water supply to the faucet. 2. Open the faucet briefly to relieve any pressure inside the faucet. 3. Move the faucet handle to the OFF position. 4. Remove the screw cover, unscrew the set screw and remove the handle. For PF3300 Series, unscrew the cap. 5. Remove cartridge from valve body seat by using a 17mm socket wrench. 5. Install the new cartridge into valve body; ensure to tighten cartridge to 14 ft./lbs. (18.9 Nm). 6. Re-assemble faucet in reverse order. 7. Test for leakage. PF 3100 PF 3200 PF 3300 GENERAL MAINTENANCE Clean aerator periodically. Do not use harsh detergents, solvents, chemical agents, metallic sponges, etc. that could harm the surface and damage the finish. Clean only with a soft sponge and soapy water. 5/8
