Be aware that continuous access to the picalo.com website for event entries, payments or other purposes cannot be guaranteed and use of the website is subject to availability. Fax entries that are received incomplete or illegible will not be accepted. The proof of transmission is not proof for verifying faxed entries. Telephone and emailed entries are not accepted. Canadian exhibitors must submit entries with checks drawn on U.S. accounts or with international money orders in U.S. funds. Returned checks and invalid or declined credit cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. Returned checks and invalid or declined credit cards must be made good before the dog (s) will be allowed in the ring. Any person that issues a check that is returned for non-payment, or submits payment by credit card that is declined, will be required to pay a fine of $25 in addition to the entry fees for which check or checks were issued or for charges to the declined credit card. The entry fee plus the $25 shall then be paid by cash, money order or cashier's check. Returned checks or declined credit cards from exhibitors may result in them being put on a cash-only basis. Conditional, unsigned, incomplete or entries received without correct fee amounts will not be accepted. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks including wrong information, entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete or for entering the same dog twice. Entries not on official AKC forms or downloaded or photocopies of entry forms without rules and agreement on reverse side of Official AKC entry form and/or not within the official AKC entry size are NOT acceptable. The Bulldog Club of America and the Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle do not agree to arbitrate claims for these events as set forth on the official American Kennel Club entry form. Amateur Owner Handler Dogs Amateur Owner Handler Bitches (Effective as of 1/1/2009) Chapter 3, Section 7 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows The Amateur-Owner- Handler class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13). Bred By Exhibitor Dogs Bred By Exhibitor Bitches All dogs entered in the Bred-By Exhibitor Class must be individually registered with the AKC. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record. American Bred Dogs American Bred Bitches Open Dogs Open Bitches Winners Dog Winners Bitch Reserve Winners Dog Reserve Winners Bitch (3 Points for Reserve Winners offered for the Bulldog Club of America Only, Wednesday) Chapter 16, Section 1 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows "At the National Specialty the dog designated Reserve Winners Dog and the bitch designated Reserve Winners Bitch will be awarded a three-point major, provided that the number of dogs competing in the regular classes of the Reserve Winner s sex totals at least twice the number required for a five point major, in the region in which the event is held. No major for Reserve Winners shall be given based upon an award of Best of Winners." AWARD OF MERIT (offered for the Bulldog Club of America Only, Wednesday) - At the Judge's discretion, no more than 5 deserving Dogs or Bitches, in the Ring for Best of Breed, may receive an Award of Merit. It is not mandatory that the judge award any certificates. Each Judge of Intersex will be given the criteria for such awards. Dogs awarded Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed and Best of Winners are excluded from selection by virtue of their higher placement. The Award of Merit shall be given following Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite, Select Dog, and Select Bitch. Best of Breed Competition Grand Champion Select points offered at judge's discretion Best Puppy Competition From the Puppy Class first place winners NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES - ALL SHOWS Winners of these classes, if otherwise undefeated, compete in Best of Breed Competition. *VETERAN DOG AND *VETERAN BITCH CLASS - For Dogs and Bitches 7 (Seven) years of age and older. Open to Champions and Non-Champions alike. A dog may be entered in the Veterans Class without being entered in any other class. Dogs & Bitches will be judged separately. *Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a neutered male may be entered as a Veteran Dog in the Veteran Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Veteran Bitch in the Veteran Bitch Class. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS BULLDOGS ARE EXPECTED TO BE JUDGED ON A RAMP. NO DOG WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE SHOW AREA EXCEPT THOSE ENTERED IN THE SHOW. NO PUPPIES UNDER SIX MONTHS OF AGE ARE ALLOWED AT THE SHOW HOTEL. NO DOGS OR PUPPIES ARE TO BE SOLD AT THE SHOW SITE. A DONATION OF $1.00 TO THE BULLDOG CLUB OF AMERICA CHARITABLE FUND WILL BE MADE FOR EACH FIRST ENTRY OF A DOG IN THE BCA NATIONAL SHOW. 1. Entries must be submitted on an American Kennel Club (AKC) Official Entry Form or exact copy (both front & back) and must be signed. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks. The Club and/or its Event Secretary assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or owner's Agent entering a dog or a class for which the dog is not eligible to compete. Conditional entries are not accepted. 2. Exhibitors are advised to make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this premium list. Rule books are available from the Event Secretary or may be obtained from the AKC. 3. A recording fee of 50 cents and a Event Service Fee of $3 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show. This recording fee is to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule, Chapter 14, Sec. 2). 4. Judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a reasonable time prior to the show, notify the Event Secretary. Judging programs returned by the Post Office as undeliverable will be held by the Event Secretary. 5. The hosting club may decline an entry for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove a dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the club or any official thereof. 6. The hosting clubs may cancel any events due to extreme weather conditions. 7. The club is not responsible for loss or injury to anyone attending this show. 8. The club will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, regardless of the cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 9. No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those entered in the show. 10. Dogs must be ready for judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. 11. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. 12. All dogs must be on a leash or confined to crates except when being judged. 13. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. 14. A dog which, according to its owners' records, has completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose Championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Best of Breed, provided this transfer is made by the Event Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation Judging at the show. 22 Bulldog Club of America National Specialty Week November 21 to 26, 2016

15. Crates and grooming tables are not allowed within 10 feet of the rings. 16. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in the judging rings. In the event of a discrepancy from the published prize list, the Event Secretary should be advised at once. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show or be forfeited. 17. Fees must be submitted with checks drawn on U.S. accounts and in U.S. funds. 18. Returned checks MUST BE MADE GOOD before the dog (s) will be allowed in the ring. Returned checks are subject to a fine in addition to the fees for which the check was issued. The fine and fees must then be paid in cash, money order or cashier s check. 19. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of Show Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. 20. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. 21. All rights to advertise, publicize, televise, photograph or otherwise promote this event are vested in each individual club on its show date. All persons and animals on the Show Site at any time while the shows are in progress do, by attending and/or participating therein, grant to each club the right to photograph, televise, audiotape, videotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. 22. This show will be professionally video recorded. No other commercial video recording, video recording from a tripod mounted camera, or any video recording of large segments of the show will be permitted. 23. Exhibitors must not wear anything in the ring identifying them with any club or organization. Misuse of SHOW SITE includes but is not limited to the following rules. 1. Smoking in non-smoking areas or rooms. 2. Allowing dogs to relieve themselves in areas other than those clearly designated for that purpose. 3. Failure to clean up after any dog in your care in any area, at any time. 4. All dogs must be in crates in rooms. Bathrooms are not considered a crate area and are not to be used to house dogs. At the discretion of the Bench Show Committee or the hotel/motel s housekeeping staff, rooms may be inspected at any time. In the event of a complaint should it be determined by a hearing that destruction and/or misuse of property is occurring, the following steps shall be taken to correct the matter. 1. Monetary restitution shall immediately be made to the hotel/motel by violator (s). 2. The person (s) found in violation of the hotel/motel or AKC / The Bulldog Club of America / The Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle rules shall be asked to leave the premises immediately. 3. If suspended from AKC privileges, the offender s name (s) shall be published in The AKC Gazette and The Bulldogger as having violated said rules. The Bulldog Club of America, Bulldog Club of America, Div V and Bulldog Club of Greater Seattle retain all rights to photograph or videotape by any means and televise or reproduce these events in any way, now and in the future.
