Michael Fox MC 330:001 TV Analysis Family Guy 1. Technical A. The network the show runs on is Fox. The new episodes run on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. central time. The show runs between 22 to 24 minutes. B. The show has no prologue or epilogue in the most recent episodes. The show used to have a prologue that ran about 1 minute and 30 seconds. It also has an opening credit scene that runs 30 seconds. It does occasionally run a prologue for a previous show, but those are very rare in the series. C. There are three acts to the show. For this episode, Act I ran about 8 minutes, Act II about 7 minutes, and Act III about 7 minutes. The Acts are different in each episode. The show does not always run the same length every time so the Acts will change accordingly. D. The show has three commercial breaks. Each break is three minutes long. With this I will still need about 30 pages to make sure there are enough for the episode. 2. Sets A. There are two main locations in the show. These are the Griffin House and the Drunken Clam. The Griffin House has different sets inside and outside of it. For example, there are scenes in the kitchen, family room, upstairs corridor, Meg s room, Chris room, Peter and Lois room, and Stewie s room. There are other places the family goes, but those are not in all most every episode. B. I will describe each in detail by dividing the two into which is used more in the series. Griffin House (located in Quahog, RI) The outside of the house is a two story house. It is a yellow house with a blue roof. It has a garage and an extra guest room added to it. The door is red and the windows on the first floor are yellow with shutters on them. It is next to two different houses which are owned by Peter s
friends. When entering the house, the couch and the television are in the middle of the room. To the left is a wall with pictures of the family and a small table. To the right is another chair for someone to sit on next to the television. Past the couch is a doorway to a corridor that leads to the guest room and the kitchen. Next to the doorway is another door that leads to the kitchen. To the right of the doorway is a stereo system with speakers. Above the stereo are pictures of the children. There is also a stairway that leads to the upstairs part of the house. After entering the corridor the guest room is straight ahead. This room has a piano where Lois gives piano lessons and it also has a bay window built in. After leaving the guest room the kitchen is to the right. When entering the kitchen (from the corridor doorway) the kitchen table is in the middle of the room. It has a purple table cloth and chairs all around the table. To the left is a doorway that leads to the living room. Past the doorway is the refrigerator with cabinets above it. Further right is more cabinets which are connected to the stove. It is a white gas stove with a towel hanging off of the oven door. That is the end of the wall on the left. On the opposite wall are more cabinets on floor and coming off of the ceiling. In between the cabinets is a microwave. After leaving the kitchen into the door that is connected to the living room there are stairs to the left. Going up those stairs will lead to the upstairs corridor. When standing at the top of the stairs, the bathroom is located right in front of the top of the stairs. When entering the bathroom the sink is to the right with a medicine cabinet above it. Next to the sink is the toilet it has flowers and an air freshener on top of it. Across the doorway is the bathtub with a blue shower curtain. On the floor of the bathroom are blue rugs. After leaving the bathroom, to the right of the bathroom is Chris room. When entering the room the bed is in the center of the room. It has green covers with white pillows. On the right side of the room is his closet. It is very small and there is an evil monkey that lives in it. On the opposite wall is his desk with a computer at it. Next to the desk is a dresser with a television on top of it. On the wall to the left are pennants and other posters.
After leaving Chris room, the right end of the corridor is Peter and Lois room. When entering Peter and Lois s room the bed is in the center of the room. It has dark blue covers. On the wall next to the door is a dresser with four drawers. Also there is a picture of the family above the dresser. On the right wall of the room is a window with a small desk in front of it. Next to the window is another dresser with a mirror attached to it. On the wall across from the doorway is a window with blue curtains. The bed is up against that wall and there is a small night stand next to the bed. It has a small lamp on it. On the wall to the left is a closet with brown wooden doors. Next to the closet is a bathroom. When entering the bathroom there is a toilet on the left wall and the sink is next to the toilet. The sink has a small medicine cabinet with a mirror above it. There is a shower bathtub across of the toilet. After leaving the Peter and Lois room across the corridor is Stewie s room. When entering Stewie s room the crib is in the middle of the room and it has blue pillows and blue covers. On the right wall of the room is his toy chest, with children s toys inside. On the opposite wall is a time machine in the corner, and a window next to it. To the left of the window is a small table with chairs next to it as a play area. On the left wall is another window. On the doorway wall there is the crib next to the wall with a changing table to the left. After leaving Stewie s room to the right of Stewie s room is Meg s Room. When entering Meg s room the bed is in the back left corner and has pink covers and pillows. On the right wall there is a small dresser with a television on it. On the opposite wall is a small couch with light blue throw pillows on them. Above the couch is a window. Next to the bed is a small night stand, with a lamp on it. On the left wall is part of the bed. In the left corner across from the bed is a small desk that has a mirror attached to it. Drunken Clam (located in downtown Quahog, RI) This is the local bar where Peter and his friends Joe Swanson and Glen Quagmire come to relax and drink. On the outside the Drunken Clam is a small one story building with a big neon sign that says the drunken clam. In the sign there is a bottle and an animated clam with eyes that takes drinks from the bottle and proceeds to get drunk. The building itself has a brown door with two
windows in the front. The building itself is grey, but it has brick trim along the bottom of the building. The windows have blue shutters around them. There is also a fire hydrant on the sidewalk in front of the Drunken Clam. The Bar is between two different business buildings. When entering the Clam there are seats on the left wall of the bar. There are circular booths with tables in the middle. There are four of them that line the wall. On the opposite wall of the bar is different sports memorabilia and there are tables with chairs in front of the wall. In the right corners of the wall there are two different doors. Those doors are for the bathrooms. The door in the right corner is for the men. The door in the left corner is for the women. On the right wall there is the full bar in the middle. When facing the bar there are dart boards on the right side of the wall. To the left of the bar are a trash cans and another table with chairs. The bar itself is wooden with a full assortment of liquor on the wall behind the bar. Behind the liquor is a mirror which spans the length of the bar. There are many bar stools lining the outer part of the bar. The bar has two televisions at each corner of the bar that are connected to the ceiling. They hang down so the patrons can see. The ceiling also has multiple ceiling fans with light on them. Above the bar is a steamer of red and blue flags. On the wall connected to the door is an old 50 s jukebox that Peter sometimes uses to play music for the bar. C. There are 5 other sets in this specific episode: Sushi restaurant, Navy Battleship, Pawtucket Brewery, Quahog Theater, and Park Barrington Hotel. Sushi Restaurant (location not stated) This is a small restaurant that Peter wanted to own so he could yell at people. When entering the restaurant there is a center area for the fresh sushi. There are tables all around the center cutting area. There is a decorative Japanese design on the ceiling of the restaurant. Navy Battleship (location not stated) The battleship looks like a normal battleship on the top deck. There is a stage with red curtains. There are also cannons in the back ground. The stage is surrounded by many naval men sitting in chairs watching Peter on the stage. Pawtucket Brewery (Quahog, RI)
The brewery scene is on the production floor. In the background is a giant tank filled with beer. Behind the giant tank is a conveyor belt with many beer bottles moving to the next room. The walls are brick. Quahog Theater (Quahog, RI) This looks like a basic theater. There is a stage where Joe and Quagmire are performing for Peter. The stage is grey and there are blue curtains in the background. In front of the stage are many rows of seats with the exit behind the rows of seats. Park Barrington Hotel (location not stated) This is an upscale hotel with a fine dining area added to it. The fine dining area has golden curtains with walk through windows the table is set with elegant food. There is a potted plant in the background. 3. Theme A. A family can get though whatever challenges that lie ahead. This theme is in almost every episode. There are many situations where Peter gets him or the whole family into a situation that causes there to be dysfunction. In this example Peter goes and buys $28,000 in lottery tickets without telling Lois or the family. They win, but they run into problems along the way. These problems will be solved by the family by sticking together and the help of some friends. Sometimes Peter does not cause the problems, but whoever causes it at least one member of the family will help the one in trouble. B. No matter what happens friends and family will be there to help.
4. Characters A. The following is a list of characters that are in almost every episode. Peter Griffin Peter was born in Quahog around 1960. He is married to Lois Griffin and has three children: Meg, Chris, and Stewie. He also has a talking dog with the name Brian. He likes to get himself into trouble any way possible. He is Roman Catholic and loves to drink. Peter is not the smartest person on the show. He tries to make up for it with jokes and caring for his family. He first worked at the Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory where worked on the assembly line. He was fired from that job and was unemployed for a season. He was a lineman for the New England Patriots. While unemployed he tried to be a fisherman and could not do that. After the fisherman job failed he then applied for a job at the Pawtucket brewery. He now works for the shipping department at the Pawtucket brewery. When Peter is not at work he is always watching TV. His favorite shows include Star Trek, Three s Company, Happy Days, The Honeymooners, and Joan of Arcadia. He is also is a huge KISS fan. He followed them around for a whole episode. His favorite song of all time is Surfin Bird by the Trashmen. He has a few talents that include playing the trombone, piano, guitar, and farting. He does not like his daughter Meg. In any situation he can he will talk down to her. He finds ways to humiliate her. He also plays most of his pranks on her, and he gets others in the family to play pranks on her. Chris and Peter do not have a great father son bond, but they sometimes find a way to bond over certain things. Stewie and Peter also do not have a strong bond, but it is like his relationship with Chris. They have their certain situations. Peter loves his wife Lois. They sometimes do not get along, but Peter always falls back in love with his wife by the end of the episode. Brian and Peter have a great bond with each other. Peter saved Brian
when he picked him up when he was a stray. They have a great friendship and often drink together. Peter is in pretty good health for what he has done in his life. He has done many different drugs. He has taken on a whole NFL time by himself, and also survived through a stroke. Lois Griffin Lois was born in the wealthy Pewterschmidt family from Newport, RI. She did not want to grow up as an uptight wealthy person, so she let go of her inheritance to marry the poor towel boy Peter Griffin. Before she met Peter she had been in many different men. She fell in love with
Peter when she sees his easy-going silliness his most attractive trait. She is 40 years old and keeps herself in great shape. Lois does not have a full-time or a part-time job. She does help the family by teaching piano to young children. For the most part she is a stay at home mother who takes care of her family. For a short time she was a professional boxer. She went undefeated, but she decided to retire. She wanted to spend more time with her family. She also was a flight attendant for a short while, but the lack of attention to her baby, Stewie, made her quit that job. Lois loves her family, but there are times she cannot stand being around all of them. Many times in the series she gets very irritated with Peter and his antics. They sometimes get into shouting matches. By the end they both fall back in love and become a family. Her relationship with her daughter, Meg, is not the best mother daughter relationship. Meg often times come to Lois for womanly advice and Lois will not talk to her and shrug her off. After a while realized what she is doing wrong and talk to Meg. Her relationship with Chris is not shown much. They stay away from each other in most episodes. While they don t talk much, Lois will still go and talk to Chris when he is having troubles with school and girls. When it comes to her baby Stewie, he cannot do anything wrong. Many times he is trying to kill Lois, but she looks past all of that. Brian and Lois have a weird relationship. Lois thinks Brian is stuck up and too smart for his own good. Brian is in love with Lois and wants her to be his significant other. Lois knows this, but knows the relationship won t work. Through all of that she still cares for Brian as if he is part of their family.
Meg Griffin Meg is the daughter of Peter and Lois. She has two brothers Chris and Stewie. She is currently a high school Junior. She is attending James Wood Regional High School. She is a very desperate teenager. She does not fit in at school or with her family at home. She is the outcast of the family. She is the butt of almost all of the jokes made by the family. When she tries to contribute to any of the conversations, she is told to shut up or go up to her room. She has very bad luck with boys. Any boyfriend she has either leaves when he meets her family or they realize how she is treated. One boy really likes Meg. Neil Goldman is the head of the A/V club at school and has always liked Meg. He tries desperately to gain the love of Meg, but she always turns him down because he is more of an outcast than Meg. She did have a job for a while at the Quahog Mini-Mart. She was moved to assistant manager, but then stopped working there for school. She also became a pop music star when
Lois forced her to get a makeover. That later ended when she was caught in the opening credits of Saturday Night Live sleeping with Jimmy Fallon. As stated earlier her relationship with the family is not good. She doesn t have a great bond with much of the family, but will sometimes have a strong bond with her brother Chris. They get into situations that cause them to work together. After the situation is over they usually go back to taking shots at each other, but they both know the bond they shared over the experience. Chris Griffin Chris is the middle child of the three. He attends high school at James Woods Regional High School. It has not been said what grade he is in, but he is behind Meg, his older sister. He is a teenage boy with teenage boy problems. He is starting puberty and having trouble with girls. He also is having the problem of fitting into high school. He isn t a big outcast like Meg, but is still not popular. He was popular in one episode, but then was taken down by one of his fellow class mates. He is very self-conscious about his weight. He has troubles losing it. Chris is not the smartest member of the family. Although he isn t book smart, Chris is a big movie fan. In one episode he chatted with the Mini-Mart clerk for hours about movies. Chris was also not planned by Peter and Lois. Lois also smoked and drank during the pregnancy of Chris. This could be one of the reasons he has troubles with school. Chris does have a job as the neighborhood paper boy. He is up every morning to send out the papers, and he is being stalked by an elderly neighbor, Herbert. Herbert is always trying to get Chris to come into his house, but Chris never enters. At one point, Chris had a job at the Quahog Mini-Mart where he worked as a stock boy for a couple of episodes. He then quit the job and went back to being the paper boy.
Chris has many different relationships with the family. He usually does not talk to Stewie or Brian. He does try and bond with his father, but Peter does not know how to relate with Chris. Lois and Chris do have a bond; even though Lois did not want Chris. When Chris needs help with girls he ends up talking to Lois because Peter will not help him. Meg and Chris have a dysfunctional relationship like any brother and sister would. The usually keep their space, but like above, when they really need something they will help each other out. Stewie Griffin Stewie is the baby of the family. He is a very clever baby and has an English accent. He is one year old, and has a sophisticated attitude. Stewie s main goal in life is world domination. In the beginning, he would devise plans to try and take over the world. Those plans would be stopped by Lois, or he could not finish the plan because he is an infant. He first wants to take out Lois. In the first few season, he tries to kill Lois in every episode. Later on he thinks he kills Lois, but later finds out he failed. To create all of these plans, Stewie is a master of physics and mechanical engineering. He has created many different devices such as a mind control device, advanced fighter-jets, a weather control device, and a time machine. He uses all of the devices to try and kill Lois or take over the world. While trying to take over the world, he does crimes in the series. Some crimes he has committed crimes such as, robbery, carjacking, loan sharking, and killing off minor characters in the show. Stewie receives a lot of attention from his mother. He is the baby, and Lois devotes most of her time to her baby. This irritates Stewie and could be one of the reasons he wants to kill Lois. Peter and Stewie have not had much contact in the series. They are very distant, and when they do interact they don t know what to do. Stewie and his siblings do not have much of a bond yet because he is an infant. The siblings look after him, but not as well as they should. Stewie and Brian are very close. They were not close in the beginning of the series, but after a few interactions in the story they started to become close friends. Usually the two are doing
something different that the main part of the story. Stewie has another close friend in Rupert. Rupert is his teddy bear that he does everything with. He talks to him like he is a real person. Stewie does not go anywhere without his friend Rupert. Brian Griffin Brian is an eight year old dog of the family. He was found by Peter on the side of the road as a stray. He later bonded with Peter and stayed as the family pet. Brian loves opera and jazz. Brian is very smart and acts a lot like a human. He does not walk on four legs but two. Brian attended Brown University and dropped out. He also can speak French and Tagalog. Brian thinks this puts him intellectually above anyone in the family, and he is always trying to show that he is in front of Lois and Peter. Brian owns a hybrid car and is always environmentally conscious. While being environmentally conscious, Brian loves to smoke weed and does it occasionally on the show. Brian is also constantly drinking on the show. He also has many troubles with women. He has had multiple girlfriends on the show, but has never found the love of his life. He believes the troubles are based on the love he has for Lois. Brian has had different jobs during the series. He has always been a book writer. He has had two different that were published. The first was called Faster Than the Speed of Love. This was a major flop when Lois father funded the book to be published. The second book is called Wish It. Want It. Do It. which was a motivation book for people. This was a success, but then was shown to be a sham when the book was mostly blank pages. He had another job writing for The New Yorker. Brian was fired from this job when the main contributor found out he did not finish college. Brian does not have much involvement with Chris and Meg. He did go to the prom with Meg which then Meg fell in love with Brian. She would not leave Brian alone. Brian s relationship with Peter is very strong. After becoming the family dog, the two have had a very strong bond as friends. The two often go to the bar together and drink with Quagmire and Joe. Brian has always been in love with Lois, but knows he has no chance of being with her. As stated above, Brian and Stewie have become closer friends that Peter and Brian. Stewie and
Brian have gone on many adventures together. Some of these adventures include time travel and committing crimes together. This is a list of characters that are in many episodes but not all. Glen Quagmire He is one of Peter s best friends. Glen is an airline pilot and is a major womanizer. He is single and always with different women. Glen lives next door to Peter. The two often spend a lot of time together at the Drunken Clam. Cleveland Brown Cleveland was one of Peter friends also. He owned a deli in downtown Quahog. He is single and looking. He recently left the show after starting his own spin-off where he married his high school sweet heart. He comes back to the show from time to time. Joe Swanson Joe is another of Peter s friend. He is a police officer for the city of Quahog. He is a paraplegic. He lost the use of his legs in an accident while chasing a perpetrator. Peter, Quagmire, and Joe spend a lot of time together. Bonnie Swanson Bonnie is Joe s wife. She is pregnant with their second child which hasn t been born yet. Kevin Swanson Kevin is Joe and Bonnie s son. He joined the military and has been missing for a while. The family thinks he is dead. Carter Pewterschmidt Carter is Lois father who is a very wealthy man. He is the owner of Pewterschmidt Industries. Carter hates that Lois married Peter, and he shows it by always making fun of Peter. Barbra Babs Pewterschmidt
Barbra is the wife of Carter. The two have been married for a very long time. Barbra does not have a job. She mostly just stays at home. Mort Goldman Mort is the local pharmacist. He owns Goldman Pharmacy in downtown Quahog. He is recently single do to the death of his wife Muriel. He has now moved on and is dating again. Neil Goldman Neil is the head of the A/V club at James Woods Regional High School. He loves Meg and trying to get her affection. John Herbert John lives on the same block as the Griffins. He is a very old man and a veteran of the army. He really likes teenage boys. He comes off as a pedophile. Thomas Tom Tucker Tom is the lead anchor for the Channel 5 News. He is an alcoholic and womanizer. He usually is just giving the news to the Griffin Family. Joyce Kinney Joyce is the other anchor on the channel 5 news. She has taken the place of Dian Simmons who was killed. Joyce went to high school with Lois. Angela Angela is Peter s boss at the brewery. She was in love with Peter for a little while, but now she just bosses him around now. Mayor Adam West He is the mayor of Quahog. He is not the smartest man, but he tries really hard to do the right thing. Dr. Elmer Hartman
Dr. Hartman is the Griffin family physician. There is many times where he does not know what to do in the medical field. It has shown that he never finished medical school, but he still holds a job at the hospital. Jerome Jerome is the new owner of the Drunken Clam after he killed the old owner with a line drive in softball. He also was one of the men Lois has slept with before Peter. Rupert This is Stewie s stuffed teddy bear. Rupert cannot talk, but he is portrayed as a close friend to Stewie. Seamus Levine Seamus is an old fisherman who has two peg legs and two peg arms. He is a stereotypical sailor. He is usually at the drunken clam, and jumps into Peter and his friends conversations. 5. Plot A. The following are the main plot developments for the episode Lottery Fever. A Plot: Lottery Winner This plot starts off part way through the first act. The family is having money troubles. The family is watching a news report on the lottery for Quahog. The winning amount is $150 million. After watching the report Peter decides he is going to go win the lottery. Lois and Brian try to stop him by telling him there is no chance of winning the lottery. Peter does not listen to either of them and he decides he is going to go but lottery tickets anyways. He is stopped for a brief moment because there are teenagers outside the door. After returning from purchasing lottery tickets, Peter joins the family back in the living room to show them what he purchased. He walks in with two large boxes filled with lottery
tickets. Lois is surprised and wants to know how Peter paid for all of the lottery tickets. Peter took out a second mortgage on the house. This does not sit well with Lois. She is furious and so is Brian. Brian tries to tell Peter he has almost no chance of winning the lottery again. Lois demands Peter to take the tickets back, but Peter believes they will win the lottery. The family joins in the living room at the half way through the first act. They are waiting to see what the lottery numbers will be. Lois threatens Peter with a divorce if the family doesn t win the lottery. Peter agrees because he knows there is a chance they don t win. After the numbers are said, the family joins in a montage of checking all of the lottery tickets Peter purchased. The family took three days to check all of the tickets. After looking through all of them the family finds out they did not win. Exhausted, the family is starting to get furious with Peter. Peter then pulls out two more large boxes and says the two boxes before were a test and that the new boxes are the real lottery tickets. Brian questions if the two new boxes are another test. Peter says yes and pulls out two more boxes and says these are the real lottery tickets. Peter had purchased 200,000 lottery tickets and had 400,000 copies made. Peter wanted to see if the family was in on his plan to win. Brian checks the top real lottery ticket and the family finds out they have won. The second act begins with the family in the kitchen with money stashed all around the room. Lois wants to put the money in the bank, but Peter refuses because he doesn t want Jewish people looking at the money. All of the family members have an idea on what they want to spend the winnings on. Lois does not want the money to change the family because she has seen how money can change a family first hand with her wealthy parents. Peter does not think that way and he wants to use the money to live the good life. Lois does not think this is the right thing to do. There is a cut away of Peter trying to imitate Scrooge McDuck by diving into a room full of gold coins. Peter then decides to quit his job because of all the money. Lois comes home from buying groceries to find Peter sitting on the couch in his underwear drinking. There is another cut away of Peter politely quitting his job at the brewery.
At the end of it he states that he took a dump on the boss desk. Lois wants him to get his job back, but Peter is not able to because of how he quit. After losing his friends, Peter goes out and buys an all gold suit. He meets Lois in the kitchen and Lois does not approve. She thinks the money is changing the family in a bad way. Lois believes the money is affecting Stewie and Brian. Stewie bought a giant mobile so he can take a nap wherever he wants. The money is affecting Chris too. He has started sniffing different glue to get high. Chris believes this is something a wealthy person does. Peter tries to persuade Lois to think the way he does. Peter gives Lois a giant diamond ring. He says it is a blood diamond. Lois loves it, and she starts to embrace the high-class living. The family then decides to go the Park Barrington Hotel for tea every day. This is the very high-class part of the city. They receive the bill, and they find out they are out of money. Lois has to give up her ring to pay for the bill. They could not go home because all of their belongings were repossessed. The family is now on the street and broke. Peter tries to fix it by winning the lottery again. They do, but the family blows all the money again. So they have won the lottery twice, and spent all the money. Peter does not know where to turn since he lost his two friends from how he acted. Peter then decides to go into the drunken clam to see if his friends are there. He then apologizes to them saying he was a jerk. Peter asks Joe and Quagmire for any help. Quagmire then pulls out his checkbook and gives Peter the money to buy his old house back. Peter is very thankful. He vows not to let any money change him again. The family goes back to normal for the next episode. B Plot: Money problems The B plot kicks off the show in the living room of the Griffin house. Peter wants to buy a Japanese restaurant just so he can yell at the customers as they come in. Lois refuses to give Peter the money and tells him they are in financial trouble. Lois is thinking about getting a full time job, so the family will have the money to live. Brian, who was in the living room with the family, did not realize the problems the family is facing. Chris offers to help out by getting another job along with his paper route. Lois does not want him to work two jobs and go to
school. They tried that earlier in the series and Chris ended up having a heart attack. This brings a little conflict between Lois and Peter. Peter wants to do whatever he wants, but Lois will not allow him to go buy the restaurant. C Plot: Peter and Friends This plot starts part way though the second act and finishes up at the end of the show. Peter, Joe, and Quagmire are drinking at the bar. Joe and Quagmire just find out Peter has won the lottery. The two then start to suck up to him because they both need some money for things going on in their lives. Peter is a great friend and gives them money. After Joe and Quagmire receive the checks they decide they have to do other things. Peter then gets jealous and feels like they should stay and hang out with him because of the money. Joe and Quagmire decide to skip those things and hang out with peter. Peter feels that they should do whatever he wants because he has the money. After staying at the bar, everyone goes home. Peter wants Joe to watch every season of Trueblood to find any part in the series that shows breast. Joe finds one part, but Peter says it doesn t count. He sends Joe back to watch it again. After that, Peter wants Quagmire to take the first bite of his fudge pop. Quagmire doesn t want to, but Peter forces him to. Then Peter starts to tell Quagmire to smear the rest of the fudge pop on his face and look at him with his mouth open. He then slaps Quagmire, and throws the fudge pop on Quagmire s head. The group then goes to the Quahog Theater. Peter wants Joe and Quagmire to do a synchronized set of Makin Whoopie. While Joe and Quagmire are singing, Peter starts shooting the two with a Beebe gun. Peter his them in the arms and legs. The two get angry and say not to hit them in they eye. Peter says he wont, but then hits Joe right in the eye. Quagmire has had enough of Peter and says to never talk to them again. Peter does not stop them. After finding out Peter lost all of his money, Quagmire is still a good friend to Peter. Quagmire gives Peter the money to buy his house back so they can be friends again. All is forgiven.
6. Creative Concept: A. This show is from some of the other animated comedies on network television. They push the line more than all the rest. Family guy has more crude humor than The Simpsons or American Dad. Although the same person as Family Guy created American Dad, Family guy deals with more real life events a family has to go through. B. I think this series looks like it does because the creators wanted to pack in a ton of jokes in a thirty-minute show. The creators used animation over real actors because there are situations through out the show where they could not put real actors in. The characters themselves have developed with the progression of technology. This show is put here to make a person laugh and to spend thirty-minutes away from what is going on in real life. The creators do a great job of this.
