August 19th 2016 Olympic Kennel Club Combined Specialty Obedience & Rally Judging Schedule With the approval of the American Kennel Club, Obedience & Rally Trial classes at the OKC cluster will be consolidated to provide maximum efficiency in scheduling and judging. All Specialties in this Cluster that are offering Obedience & Rally Classes will be judged together. Each dog will be judged and individual scores recorded in the respective breed s judge s book. 7 - WSCSC 08/19/2016 Driving Directions to Show Site FROM THE NORTH/EASTSIDE: Drive south on Interstate 405 to Maple Valley Highway (State Route 169); proceed south to Enumclaw. SR169 becomes Porter in town. At the traffic light at the intersection of Porter and Griffin Avenue, turn left (east) onto Griffin Avenue. At the traffic light at the end of Griffin, turn left (east) onto SR410/Roosevelt, then right (south) at the light onto 284th Avenue. The Expo Center will be on your left. FROM THE NORTH OR SOUTH ON I-5 Highway 18 East to Auburn, then State Route 164 east into Enumclaw SR164 becomes Griffin Avenue in town. At the traffic light at the end of Griffin, turn left (east) onto SR410/Roosevelt, then right (south) at the light onto 284th Avenue. The Expo Center will be on your left. FROM THE SOUTH Take State Route 512/167 and go east on SR410. Go through Bonney Lake and Buckley. Continue on SR410 into Enumclaw and through to 284th Ave SE. Turn right (south) at the light onto 284th Avenue. The Expo Center will be on your left. 8 - WSCSC 08/19/2016 Attention Exhibitors Exhibitor Rule Change Effective 01/01/2010 Chapter 11, Section 1. No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration. For complete detail see Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 1. Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008. The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00 Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club Show or Obedience Trial. ( American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). The current 50 cents recording fee will continue to be collected where applicable. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 1st Entry & $3.00 additional entry of same dog will be required for each entry in Rally (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 3). The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Events Service Fees for the American Kennel Club. These event services and recording fees shall be forwarded to the American Kennel Club along with all other required event results with seven (7) days of the close of the event. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show, No refund of entry fee may be made. No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those regularly entered in the Show. The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter unless required for further judging. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this Event. The welfare of an exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the Show. The Show Site will be available to exhibitors at 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 17, 2016. SET UP OF TENTS/EQUIPMENTS MAY NOT BE WITH 15 FEET OF ANY RINGS AND NOT IN AISLEWAY. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED. Grooming will be in the livestock building located in the northeast corner of the grounds. USE OF ALL POWER OUTLETS IS AT USER S OWN RISK. LOADING & UNLOADING: There will be NO loading or unloading of crates/dogs at ringside during show hours! Loading and unloading will be in the livestock building only located in the northeast corner of the grounds. Access to the Livestock Building will be off 284 th Ave SE follows signs - gate open at 6:00am. No practicing allowed in rings at any time. No dogs to be left overnight in grooming building. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up after their dog.
