A Tribute to Moments of Bravery on 9/11 By: 5 th Grade Champions

A moment of bravery on 9/11 Represented on the left is World Trade 7, when a guy told the people to evacuate. I thought it was brave to help them escape before the building was destroyed. On the right is Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania. The passengers tried to stop the hijackers from crashing into the capitol. I thought it was brave that they rapidly responded to save the lives of others. ~Harrison

A moment of bravery on 9/11 One act of bravery was a guy who stayed to help the other people out of the building after the crash. He could have died because of the falling debris and the soot but he was brave enough to stay. ~Madyson

A moment of bravery on 9/11 both the passengers and the hijackers knew they were going to die. The hijackers were brave because they were willing to take their own lives for their beliefs. The passengers were brave because they kept calm when they knew they were going to die. ~Barak

A moment of bravery on 9/11 My build is about the bravery it took to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was brave because most of the people didn t know where they would sleep or what they would eat and they didn t know anybody there. They fled to safety even though they didn t know what would happen. ~Mallory

A moment of bravery on 9/11 My build is about when they hijacked the plane. It actually took bravery to do that when they knew they would die. They were flying into the Twin Towers and people were brave to be calm and not freak out. ~Triston

A moment of bravery on 9/11 My build is about the bravery of how people went in all the rubble after the towers fell on 9/11/01. They were brave by risking their lives to get people out of the mess. Also, the people who videotaped were brave because the smoke and dust could have gotten in their lungs and killed them. ~Jarrett

A moment of bravery on 9/11 The passengers armed themselves and smashed the drink cart into the door to stop the hijackers. It was very brave because they saved peoples lives on the ground and stopped the terrorists from hitting another building. ~Jacob

A moment of bravery on 9/11 When the towers were hit the guy on the left stopped and directed the people how to get out. Since there was debris in the air you could not breathe. The brave guy helped instead of running away. ~Natasha

A moment of bravery on 9/11 When the passengers on Flight 93 TRIED to take out the hijackers they showed bravery. They stopped the terrorists from hitting the nation s capitol. Because of their bravery a bunch more lives were saved. ~Austin

A moment of bravery on 9/11 Osama Bin Laden sent his group of terrorists to fly into the Twin Towers. A fireman tried to climb up the side of the tower to help a kid, but the kid had already died. The fireman did not succeed in saving the kid, but at least he tried. Later, the towers collapsed. Being brave doesn t always mean you will be successful. ~Brayden

A moment of bravery on 9/11 On Flight 93 some guys went and tried to stop the hijackers from crashing the plane into the U.S. capitol. Those guys were the first to fight the war on terror by forcing the plane to crash into a field and not another building. ~Cameron

A moment of bravery on 9/11 People carried the injured out of the Twin Towers to get them help. It was brave because they re risking their lives to help someone else they probably didn t even know. ~Abbi

A moment of bravery on 9/11 The passengers on the flight to one of the Twin Towers were brave. They showed bravery because they didn t jump from the plane, they stayed calmly in their seats. I will remember 9/11 as the day of bravery. ~Hayley

A moment of bravery on 9/11 The local rescue team is going to the Twin Towers to look for people in the debris. The reason this shows bravery is that they are risking their own lives to save the lives of the people trapped in the rubble. ~Carly

A moment of bravery on 9/11 The passengers of Flight 93 fought the terrorists. The passengers wanted to try to land the plane safely. They were brave, but they failed. My build shows when the plane crashed in an open field. ~Jordan

A moment of bravery on 9/11 My build is when firefighters are going into the Pentagon to get survivors. They are being brave by going into the fire and risking their lives to save people while others are running out to safety. ~Tyler

A moment of bravery on 9/11 People were trapped under all the rubble of the Twin Towers. Just imagine what they were thinking, like Am I ever going to get out? Am I going to die? Will I ever see my family again? Having one bit of hope through all that shows me bravery. ~Bentlee

A moment of bravery on 9/11 The plane is about to hit the South Tower. The passengers were brave because they looked death in the eye but still had hope. ~Collin
