There will be an area setup for paw prints artwork and as always pictures with Santa. The luncheon is open to all club members and their families. The club has some fundraising events coming up including, Colectivo coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Kristina Stuppan will begin this on November 13 th, details will become available the closer it gets. A starter calendar for the MDTC will also be available soon with our name and number. We would like to try this out to start generating hype for our personalized calendar next spring/summer. Please continue to gather pictures of your dogs in all different poses and activities! Mark your calendars, the West Allis Christmas parade is Saturday, December 3rd, all club members are invited to participate. The parade will be in the evening and is a little longer than the downtown parade, but again is a lot of fun. There will be signup sheets and more information to follow. SHOW WINS AND BRAGS Dorothy Schmidt and Border Collie HC CT Ellie IV, AKC Tracking VST (variable surface track) - October 16, 2016. Delevan Business Park. Ellie drew track #7 and she was fired up from the start and on a mission. Ellie passed her 3rd (TD, TDX and VST) test to earn a CT Champion Tracking Title. Congratulations. Ellen Mack and Miniature Poodle Eaglehill s Run Lola Run, Lola - AKC Obedience-Badger Golden Retriever Club- Lola entered Graduate Open class, scored a 191 1/2, earned 1st place and her Graduate open title. AWARDS It s that time of year once again. If you earned any titles this year, please turn in a copy of your certificate or notify your respective director of training, so you can receive your plaque at our Awards banquet on January 21st. BREWER GAME FUNDRAISING Although the Brewers were in a rebuilding year in 2016, we did really well working in concessions at Miller Park! We made $5,710, $5,330 in commission and $380 in tips. That puts us over the $100,000 mark! Our grand total for the 18 years we've worked at County Stadium and Miller Park now stands at $104,314. Twenty-seven people were trained this year, and 18 of them worked at least one game. Ten of the 18 worked two or more games. We also had 2 people from my church working with us this season to raise funds for our church. The church's profit was $1,148 which isn't included in the numbers above. We also had a person from another church who worked a couple of games, trying out whether his church wants to join us for next season. That church's profit was $320, also not included in the numbers above. So, the combined profit was $7,178 including tips. Thank you to everyone, even those who were trained and wanted to work, but who weren't able to because of scheduling conflicts. Hopefully, we'll have more people interested in working next season, and everyone will be able to work at least one game. Opening Day 2017 is Monday, April 3rd, at 1:10pm versus the Colorado Rockies, and we'd like to be there! This has been such a good fund-raiser for the club that we'd like to continue working, but we definitely need more people. Please think about joining us; it's fun! We haven't received the 2017 info from Sportservice yet, but I'm sure everyone will still have to do a mandatory training session, even if you've worked before. Training sessions will probably start in January. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact me. Thanks again everyone! Mari Pavleje FROMM PETFEST 2016 MDTC was invited to participate at Fromm Petfest on the Pet University Stage on Saturday, Sept. 24 th. Molly Hare and Sadie, Charlie Mundt and Wally, BJ Parrot and Black Sheba, Peggy Brunner and Rocco, Kathleen McNerney and Abby, Cashmere and I, as well as Claude Szpot, who did a great job of MC ing, participated in the demo. It was a wonderful day to be at the lakefront and show off the skills of our dogs in obedience, scent hurdles and agility, along with tricks our dogs can do. At the end, we went off stage and let the audience pet our dogs, as we answered questions. It was lots of fun, and we thank Fromm Fest for including us in this awesome event which was attended by thousands! Daryl Ann Stuppan
