Holbeach Cemetery (Park Road) is open to the public from 09.00 hours until one hour before sunset every day. 2. The main entrance is situated in Park Road, Holbeach PE12 7LL. 3. Free parking is available immediately in front of the cemetery and along Park Road, where much of the parking is under trees. 4. The nearest public toilets are in Carter s Park, which is situated across the road from the main cemetery entrance in Park Road. They remain open to the public during the same daylight hours shown above. 5. Eating establishments providing hot and cold food to eat-in or takeaway can be found in the High Street, Holbeach which is an approximate 5-minute walk from the cemetery. There are a few rubbish bins within the cemetery but these are primarily for green-waste. We ask that visitors take any non-green waste away with them. 6. The cemetery remains an active place of remembrance and visitors are asked to respect those who are mourning or remembering friends and loved ones accordingly. 7. The cemetery has large areas of groundworks which are exposed to the elements. There is no public shelter within the cemetery, so please remember that weather can change. Visitors are urged to use sun creams and hats if hot/sunny and to wear protective clothing if wet. 8. Conditions for moving around the site are generally good, with most of the terrain consisting of mown grass and paths. In the main these areas are level but they can vary, particularly when accessing the older parts of the cemetery which are prone to unevenness from tree roots etc. Older graves have fallen and many are bordered by corner stones, all of which can present a trip hazard. Visitors are therefore advised to wear secure, non-slip footwear to maximize their safety and avoid not getting too close to gravestones as these may be unstable.
9. In recent weeks, the high winds have caused branches of older trees to fall, causing damage to the gravestones below. This is entirely unforeseen and visitors are warned to check the weather forecast before attending, along with the site itself. In the event of any concerns please contact Holbeach Parish Council: HOLBEACH PARISH COUNCIL, Coubro Chambers, 11 West End, HOLBEACH, PE12 7LW Tel: 01406 426739 E-mail: holbeachpc@btconnect.com Clerk: Christopher Seymour Deputy Clerk: Teresa Daisley 10.
