OFFICERS OF NARC: President: Amy Getsch Vice President: Jean Colletti Secretary: Ashley Caskey Treasurer: Drew Huston Board Member: Julia Callaghan What is LGRA? LGRA is sprint racing for Gazehounds. The hounds run 200 yards straight after a lure consisting of a fur bag and squawker. Up to four hounds race a total of three times, called programs. Depending on the order of finish, they may attain national points towards a Gazehound Racing Championship (GRC) title. Hounds will be hand slipped from the start line with the exception of Sloughis who will be boxed. Hounds need to be one year of age or older to be entered. They will also need to be registered with LGRA. This can be done by prior to the race meet by sending a photocopy of the hound s registration and a $2 fee directly to LGRA a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the meet. This also can be done the morning of the race meet along with a late entry. NO FIRST TIME ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A PHOTOCOPY OF THE HOUND S REGISTRATION. The hound will receive a lifetime LGRA number to be used in entering future LGRA meets (viewable on the LGRA Grading Guide in PDF format once the dog has run in competition). For further information contact Janice Parrow, Race Secretary, jagplt2803@yahoo.com or see www.lgra.org to register your hound. All hounds will run muzzled.
