ALL DOGS MUST RUN ON LIMITED SLIP OR FLAT COLLAR. NO CHOKE, PINCH COLLARS ALLOWED. TAGS SHOULD BE REMOVED OR TAPED FLAT TO COLLARS. Fast CAT: Open to all dogs at least 12 months of age that are individually registered with the AKC, recorded in the Foundation Stock Service (FSS) program, individually registered with foreign or domestic registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration, dogs granted a Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) number, dogs with AKC Limited or Conditional Registration, or dogs enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners Program. Dogs with breed disqualifications and spayed neutered dogs are eligible to participate. A dog may enter only once per event defined by an event number. The Test Committee reserves the right to alter the track as required by weather and/or field conditions on the day of the test. A penalty of $5.00 will be assessed for any loose dog in the Fast CAT area that is not currently competing, while the test is in progress. AKC Section 3.2 Bitches in season, or bitches which come in season after the close of entries, shall be barred from participating in the test or trial and their entry fees refunded. Notification to the Field Secretary of bitches in season must be made before or during the roll call. Bitches known to be in season shall not be brought onto the trial grounds. After closing, bitches in season will receive a refund of amount paid less $5/entry.
No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, loss of site, extreme weather conditions, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. No entry fee will be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. Two separate tests are being offered each day. The second test will begin no sooner than 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first test. Dogs MAY NOT run back to back. You may use one entry form per dog to enter one or all of the tests by circling the information on the entry form. Each test requires a $20 entry fee for pre-entered dogs. Late entries and day of entries $30. Conditional entries will not be accepted. You must provide two leashes for your dog; one to hold your dog and one to catch your dog. Please make arrangements for someone to either release or catch your dog, since you cannot be in two different places 100 yards apart. Be sure your dog can be caught at the end of the course. Exhibitors should be familiar with all AKC Fast CAT rules prior to running. Trial chairman will have a complete copy of the rules on hand. Trial Hours: 8:00 am until completion. Inspection and check-in: Test 1 each day 8:00 am. Second Test will begin 30 minutes after completion of first test. Any dog not present at the inspection/check-in time for a test will be scratched. Coursing for the first test will start as soon as dogs are checked in. Dogs entered in only the second test may check in at any time prior to the second test. Directions Take CA 101 to Ferndale/Fernbridge Exit. If driving North, it s Exit 691. If driving South, it s Exit 692. Take HWY 211 accross the Eel River over historic Fernbridge and continue to the Victorian Village of Ferndale. Turn right on Van Ness Ave, then left on 5 th St. Parking and Fast CAT tests will be on the right. Lure coursing fun runs will be offered at the same location on Friday and Saturday after the LCKC All Breed Best-in-Show. INSTRUCTIONS Handlers may opt to enter in a higher height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners SM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form. Should you not have your Junior Handler number, it may be obtained from the American Kennel Club (919) 233-9767.
