OTHER INFORMATION - NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern these Trials and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the lower part of the entry blanks that accompany this Premium list. ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries close at 5:00 pm PDT, May 24, 2019. Fees must accompany entries. Canadian Exhibitors MUST make all checks and/or money orders payable in U.S. funds. All checks and money orders should be made payable to Emerald Dog Obedience Club or EDOC, mailed or delivered to Trial Secretary, Melody Fair, PO Box 339, Noti, OR 97461. Contact the Trial Secretary for hand delivery, express mail, UPS or FedX submission of entries. Illegible entries will not be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Telephone, telegraph and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and without the Agreement and Rules are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent, or if the dog is entered in a class in which it is not eligible to compete. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. The Secretary will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show, no refund of entry fees will be made. Bitches in season will be refunded the full entry fee. Notification in writing must be given to the Trial Secretary no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class of the day of the first trial entered. As a courtesy to other exhibitors, please do not bring bitches in season to these trials. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY and the Trial Secretary will add a $25 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. This fee and entry fee will need to be paid by cash or money order by Monday June 10, 2019 before entry will be considered valid. No day of trial payment will be accepted. THIS CLUB DOES NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS AS SET FORTH ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM FOR THIS EVENT. JUDGING: The judging will start promptly as specified in the judging program. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. The Club will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class; it is not the responsibility of the ring steward to locate any dog, its owner or its agent when the dog s presence is needed in the judging ring. Judges will NOT wait for any dog holding up a class. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: Entries will be acknowledged after entries close, with acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. If you provide an e-mail address on your entry you agree that judging programs and armband numbers may be sent to you via e-mail. Should exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, contact the Trial Secretary. CRATING SPACE: Will be available in doors. Crates may be left overnight; however, EDOC and the Lane County Fairgrounds will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items left at the show site. Dogs that bark excessively in the crating area may be asked to crate in vehicle. No dogs may be left in crating area overnight. LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this Trial. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. LIABILITY: Emerald Dog Obedience Club will do all possible to ensure the welfare of dogs and exhibitors alike, but does not assume responsibility nor liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs, exhibitors or spectators at these events. In the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from a life-threatening condition, the owner/handler/exhibitor of that dog and owner of the vehicle waives all claims for damages against the Emerald Dog Obedience Club. CLEAN UP INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE RINGS: The rings are the responsibility of the exhibitors. Your cooperation in exercising your dog before entering the ring will be appreciated. Exhibitors are expected to keep the area around their crates and vehicles clean, including cleanup in any and all parking areas. EXHIBITOR RESPONSIBILITY: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable disease, and have appropriate vaccinations. SMOKING : Oregon Law requires smokers to be at least 10 feet from any building. While there is no other ban on smoking on the Lane County Fairgrounds, we ask that you be considerate of those around you and smoke (vaping included) inside personal vehicle in parking lot only. TRANSFERS: Will be allowed at these Obedience and Rally Trials. 3

Merge onto HWY 126/I-105, get in left lane. Take The left ramp onto I-5, heading toward Portland. Take next exit (Beltline Rd, East) Exit 195A. Follow signs for Hospital at Riverbend Drive A Warm Up Ring will be available to Exhibitors entered in our Trials. The Ring will be run on the Honor System and cost only $5 for the weekend with a payment can near the entrance to the ring. There will be a white board to write your name on and will go in order of names written. Please limit your time in the Warm up ring to 8 minutes if other people are waiting. EDOC members will be monitoring the use of the Warm Up Ring. As per AKC guidelines, The ONLY exception for a physical or verbal correction (TO A REASONABLE EXTENT) is in the case of an attack on a person or another dog. A dog is not to be (overly) corrected verbally or physically during a warm-up or while moving about the premises. EDOC Obedience Trial Committee shall be responsible for compliance with this guideline. RALLY RING SIZE will be 50 x 60 feet SPECIAL NOTICE: EDOC is hosting a Scent Work Trial in conjunction with these Obedience and Rally Trials. All are invited to spectate searches where space allows. When watching or after watching, please refrain from discussing what you observed to maintain the integrity of the purpose of Scent Work. A spectator information sheet will be available at Trial Secretary s table. 4

DIRECTIONS TO THE TRIAL SITE Directions to Lane County Fairgrounds 796 West 13 th Eugene, OR 97402 From I-5 North or South, take exit 194, West to Eugene. Take exit toward Jefferson St./Fairgrounds, staying on Jefferson. Turn right on W 11 th Ave. Turn Left on Polk St. turn left on 13 th. The entrance to the Livestock Pavilion will be on the right side of the road. Proceed to the Livestock Pavilion. HOTEL AND CAMPING INFORMATION RV Parking RV s and campers are allowed to park overnight on the grounds. RV s and campers must check in at the Business Office to obtain a permit. A 24 hr self-service permit station is available at the back door to the office. The permit cost is $20 per night (non-refundable). All RV s must be self-contained. Please verify that motel will accept dogs managers and policies change. Make your reservations early as other events in the area may limit room availability. PARKING INFORMATION Parking is a privilege extended by EDOC and Lane County Fairgrounds. The Club reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who resorts to abusive language or does not abide by the rules and decisions of the Club or Fairgrounds. All parking is at your own risk. The Club and Fairgrounds assumes no responsibility for fire, theft, and/or damage to any vehicle, its occupants or cargo. There is no charge for day parking at these trials. Everyone is expected to leave their parking area clean. No parking in designated fire lanes or loading/unloading zones.
