Trophies In order to make the Come Dance with Me in 2016 a truly out of the ordinary event, we need your support. A donation to the General Fund, of any size, is greatly appreciated. The names of all contributors will be listed in the STCA Newsletter and in the Specialty Catalog if received by June 22, 2016. Memorial Trophies are a great way to remember friends and dogs that are no longer with us. These trophies will be in keeping with other Specialty trophies. The trophies are supplied by the Club all you have to do is send your $65 donation to the Memorial Trophy Fund along with your dedication. Memorial Trophies can be for any class in conformation. One Memorial Trophy is accepted per class on a first come first serve basis. The same donor may not offer the same trophy for two consecutive years unless there is no offer for the class by the deadline. Reserve your Memorial Trophy by contacting Jean Evanoff (jaevanoff@yahoo.com). Memorial Trophy donations must be received by March 2, 2016. Mail payments to Diane Angeli using the Consolidated Order Form package. Raffle Beverly Capstick has had a long history in the world of purebred dogs. Capstick, now retired, taught art in a public school for many years, while continuing to pursue her hobby of showing dogs. Training, showing and breeding of Doberman Pinschers eventually led her to the venue of judging. Her career has progressed from judging Doberman Pinschers to the Working, Hound, Non Sporting and Herding Groups, plus breeds in two additional Groups, Junior Showmanship and BIS. Capstick's vocation of teaching has crossed over into lecturing around the world on Canine Structure and its relationship to movement. Art has been a common thread throughout her life, weaving her vocation and interests together. Breeding allowed her to learn the heart and soul of the dog, judging allows her the opportunity to examine many animals and continue learning about form and function, while her art business provides an avenue to express these interests. Although she has worked in various media, pottery, cast paper, stained glass, painting and jewelry, her primary emphasis is Copper Repousse' or Copper Bas- Relief. Capstick feels the metal reflects the enduring bond of dogs to man, while it's malleability shows the changing face of the dog over time as it has moved from hunter, to hunting partner, to herder, guard, protector and companion of man. Capstick's work is proudly shown under the name of Lutzyn Originals, LLC and can be found throughout the United States plus fifteen foreign countries. Beverly is doing a 16" x 20" framed Copper Repousse' (relief) breed study of the Silky Terrier. It will be a one of a kind, #1 of 1. Value $750. The Gordon Setter is a sample of her work. Drawing will be held at the Annual Awards Dinner in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday evening, August 12, 2016 at the MCM Eleganté Hotel. You need NOT be present to win. You can order raffle tickets using the Consolidated Order Form package. Tickets are $5.00 each or 6 for $25.00. Tickets can be purchased at the Specialty or you may request tickets. Tickets are NOT available by PayPal or online. 5

Top 20 Showcase We invite you to come and share with us the excitement of seeing the 2016 Top Twenty Silky Terriers showcase their beauty, structure, movement, and temperament. Only those Silkys who ranked among the Top 20 in Breed (most Silkys defeated in Breed Competition) and All-Breed (most Toy Dogs defeated in Group Competition) rankings are invited to participate in this prestigious event. You are seeing the Best of the Best Silky Stars of the USA! This year Top 20 will be split with the Table Exam being done earlier in the day and Movement at the event in the evening. These Silky Stars are judged by an AKC Judge, a Breeder Judge and a Handler Judge, to determine who among them will be our Top Twenty Winner and our Top Twenty Bred-by Exhibitor Winner. Deadline for entries is June 22, 2016. On Wednesday, August 10, 2016, join us for cocktails & appetizers at 7:00PM when the Movement Showcase begins at 7:30PM. The $20.00 event fee includes a ring-side seat with a full color catalog along with an assortment of cheeses, fruits with crackers and seasonal vegetables with Ranch dip. Those not wishing to attend for cocktails and appetizers may enter the ballroom approximately ten minutes prior to the start of the event at no charge. There will be some open seating available for this purpose. Ticketed guests receive a catalog as a table favor. Non ticketed guests may purchase full color commemorative catalogs for $10.00 or order online on the STCA Specialties web site for $15. Use the Consolidated Order Form package to register to attend this event as a spectator. Exhibitors and Attendees are encouraged to dress formally for this prestigious event. 6
