No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book, or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration. ENTRY FEES First Entry of a dog (except Puppy, Bred-By Exhibitor, Non-Regular or Junior Showmanship Classes)...$28.00 Bred By Exhibitor...$20.00 Puppy Classes...$20.00 Junior Showmanship only...$20.00 Non Regular & Additional Classes...$20.00 A recording fee of 50 cents and a service fee of $3.00 is required for each dog at a licensed/member club show plus $3.00 for each additional entry of a dog. The Sahuaro Brittany Club cannot accept credit card payments. CANCELLATIONS: There will be a $5.00 cancellation fee per dog for dogs cancelled prior to the entry closing of a show. A Service Charge of $25.00 to cover the cost of additional handling is assessed on all rejected items. All service charge payments must be made by cash, money order or certified check. Entries must be in the Show Secretary s office not later than Noon, January 20, 2010 After the above closing time, no entries will be accepted, cancelled, changed, substituted, corrected, completed or signed (exception Dog Show Rules, Ch. 11, Sec. 6) and no entry fees refunded. Telephoned or telegraphed entries, conditional entries and/or photocopied entries without the AKC agreement on the back are not acceptable. All changes, completions, cancellations MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING before closing. Cancellations or changes must include the dog s registration number & name. Incomplete, illegible Entries are not acceptable, and cannot be entered in the show.

CLASSIFICATION - BRITTANYS Regular Classes:: The following classes are divided by sex. Puppy, 6 months and under 9 months Bred by Exhibitor Puppy, 9 months and under 12 months American-Bred Junior, 12 months and under 18 months Novice Open Winners Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries: Classes are divided by sex FIELD TRIAL DOGS and FIELD TRIAL BITCHES- For dogs and bitches that are Field or Amateur Field Champions or that have placed in an AKC Licensed or Member Field Trial in a stake where championship points are awarded between January 20, 2009 and close of entries. VETERAN DOGS and VETERAN BITCHES- At least seven (7) years of age or older. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION JUDGES' AWARD OF MERIT The judge may select up to 10% of the superior quality specimens in addition to Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex from the Intersex Competition Award of Merit Winners will receive a Rosette Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries. As the judge s decision in the following classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won in these classes. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must appear in the ring with the get or produce and be entered in the class. The owner of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch does not need to be the owner of the get or produce. STUD DOG CLASS. For dogs that have sired two dogs or bitches entered and shown in the Regular, Non-Regular or Best of Breed classes at this show. The award is based on the merits of the get. While the merits of the stud dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the stud dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC Policy or the standard for its breed. BROOD BITCH CLASS. Same as for Stud Dog except substitutes Brood Bitch for Stud Dog, whelped for sired, and Produce for Get. SWEEPSTAKES Brittany Sweepstakes Classes will be held with the Sahuaro State Kennel Club Show, February 5, 2010. PLEASE NOTE! JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP Judge: Mr. Jeffrey G. Pepper NOVICE JUNIOR Class: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. NOVICE INTERMEDIATE Class. For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE SENIOR Class: for boys and girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. OPEN JUNIOR Class: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. OPEN INTERMEDIATE Class. For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN SENIOR Class: for boys and girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member club show. JUNIOR HANDLERS who win a 3rd Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging or one half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show, whichever is earlier. Each dog handled in a regular Junior Showmanship Class must be entered in one of the breed or obedience classes at this show, or entered for Junior Showmanship only. However, a dog that must be withdrawn for good and sufficient reason, such as a bitch in season, or a veterinarian s excuse, may be replaced by another dog meeting the below ownership requirements. Such substitution must be requested in writing stating the reason for the substitution and must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. All such requests must be made one half hour prior to the judging of any regular class at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or by the Junior Handler s father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother, including the corresponding step and half relations. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows and Obedience Trials. BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. At a Specialty Show, each dog must be of the breed for which the show is held. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a breed judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed or excused under the Dog Show Rules for the protection of other dogs at the show, or for the protection of the excused dog, may not be handled in Junior Showmanship.

Conformation judging is in the Agriculture Center and Wesley Bolin Building. Obedience is in the Home Arts Center.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS It is a violation of state law to bring alcohol, illegal drugs, and weapons onto the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Any person(s) violating the state law will be escorted off the premises by Fairgrounds security. The show site will be available to exhibitors at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Dogs must be removed from the show site by 8:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2010. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings in accordance with state statute. There will be NO vehicles allowed at any time in any of the show buildings. Food and beverage stands will be available on the show grounds. No food sales by vendors or exhibitors allowed. Water is available at this site. Violations of rules and regulations or inappropriate behavior towards Arizona State Fairgrounds employees, show committee and officials or fellow exhibitors may subject any participant in this event to disciplinary action by the show committee. Parking All exhibitors should enter the Arizona State Fairgrounds at the gate located at 17 th Avenue and McDowell. Day of Show parking is $7.00 per day (Friday thru Monday), per vehicle. If you need to leave the grounds for any reason, have your parking stub stamped at the gate for re-entry without charge. If your parking stub is not stamped you will be charged for parking each time your vehicle comes thru the gate. Four-day parking passes will be sold on site for $14.00 on Wednesday and Thursday. Times and location will be listed in the entry confirmation. Vehicles with Prepaid Reserved Parking will not be charged an additional daily parking fee. Unlimited parking space is available. Parking lots are open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm each day.

Crating, Setups and Exercise Areas 1. Security will be provided. However, dogs, equipment or personal items left on the Show Grounds are the responsibility of each exhibitor. Neither Lost Dutchman Kennel Club, Sahuaro State Kennel Club, any of the participating specialty and group clubs nor the Arizona State Fairgrounds is responsible for lost or stolen dogs or equipment. 2. Crating space is provided on a first come, first serve basis. Roping off unused crating space is strictly prohibited and will be removed by the show committee. The show committee reserves the right to require the stacking of crates and any other remedies it may deem necessary for consolidating space. 3. NO ELECTRICAL CORDS allowed in aisles. 4. Exercise pens allowed outdoors only. Pens must be setup on polyethylene sheeting if mats or carpet are not used. Sawdust or comparable absorbent material used to cover the sheeting must be disposed of along with the sheeting when vacating your setup space. 5. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up his (her) own setup area on a daily basis. Remember to bring a broom. 6. Grooming and crating space is available in all buildings and outdoors. 7. Tents may be used outside in designated areas. NO STAKING OF TENTS ALLOWED. 8. Temporary crating of any breed at ringside is allowed only while that breed is being shown and then only if aisle space is greater than 20 wide. This rule will be strictly enforced. 9. Dog bathing facilities are available next to the Agriculture building. Cold water only. 10. Dogs may not be left unattended in exercise pens or on grooming tables. 11. Dogs may be left overnight in the buildings. 12. Electricity is not available to unreserved setup spaces. Generators may be used only outside the buildings in designated parking areas.

UNLOADING ZONE Due to the number of exhibitors who have abused the unloading area by leaving their vehicles parked there throughout the day, we must take measures to insure that vehicles are removed within 30 minutes of entering the unloading zone. Upon entering the unloading zone, you will be asked to leave either a $40.00 deposit or your driver s license with the attendant. Upon leaving the area in a timely manner your deposit/license will be returned to you. Vehicles left in the unloading zone after one hour are subject to being towed. Any cash deposit will be forfeited. If a driver s license was left, it will be returned upon payment of a $40.00 fine. Reserved Overnight and Reserved Day of Show Parking You must be in a reserved parking area to groom from your vehicle. Reserved parking space is limited. Reservation is required. Power is available at an additional charge. Deadline for reserved parking is Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Space requested after the deadline or at the event will be charged an additional $10.00 per day/night for parking. Electrical charges are stated separately on the reservation form. Payment must accompany reservation. A $25 charge will be assessed on all returned parking and electric checks. No refund of fees for parking or electric on cancellations after January 20, 2010. Fees will not be refunded if space is not used. Spaces will be assigned based on the date received and whether electric is requested. All vehicles requesting electric will be parked in the same area. Signs will be posted to direct you to the appropriate check-in area. Check in: Wednesday from 2 to 9 pm. Thursday-Sunday from 6 to 7 am and after BIS to 9 pm. Monday from 6 to 7 am. Day of Show Reserved may park on Wednesday for setup at no additional charge. A reserved space is approximately 18 x 36. Longer vehicles will be accommodated at no additional cost. If you require additional width you must pay for an additional space. You may purchase additional space if necessary. Spaces are on asphalt. Ground cover is recommended. Generators are allowed in all reserved parking areas and may be used from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. Trailers and tow units may be required to be unhitched. All vehicles and pens must be confined to the assigned space. Vehicles must be self-contained. No waste or grey water may be released in any area at this site. Equipment may be left overnight at owner s risk. Outdoor grilling and open fires are not permitted. Exhibitors are responsible for clean up of their reserved space. All trash must be bagged and deposited in the containers provided.

Reserved Overnight and Reserved Day of Show Parking Overnight Parking: There are two areas available. Area 1 - Requires that the unit be self-contained. It is the closest parking to the exhibit buildings. Area 2 Has a limited number of spaces available with electric and water. It is located behind the Grandstand and is at least one city block away from the exhibit building. It is not recommended for handlers with many dogs or multiple breeds. Day of Show (Box Van) Parking: Closest parking to the exhibit buildings. Vehicles must be 40 or under in length. Daily in and out access. To expedite the traffic flow in this area and as a courtesy to other exhibitors, we ask that you arrive by 7:00 a.m. each day and depart after 3 p.m. each day. Exercise pens and equipment may be left in your space when you leave each night. If you wish to park next to/near someone, send in your reservations together.
