In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss by disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 12 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired). Collies (rough, smooth). Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. SPECIAL AWARDS Award of Merit: At the conclusion of the Specialty Show, after picking Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex, the Specialty Judge, at his discretion, may award Rosettes for Judges Awards of Merit to a maximum of 10% of the Best of Breed entry. Best Veteran Competition: Following the conclusion of Best of Breed and the Judge s Awards of Merit, the undefeated winners of the Veteran classes will compete for Best Veteran. Best Puppy Competition: Following the conclusion of Best of Breed and the Judge s Awards of Merit, the undefeated winners of the Puppy classes will compete for Best Puppy. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss by disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for any agreement to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties nameless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reasons of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties from damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by a person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or an account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show or obedience trial, however such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 12 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired). Collies (rough, smooth). Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. CRATING, SETUPS AND EXERCISE AREAS 1. Security will be provided. However, dogs, equipment or personal items left on the Show Grounds are the responsibility of each exhibitor. Neither Lost Dutchman Kennel Club, Sahuaro State Kennel Club, any of the participating specialty and group clubs nor the Arizona State Fairgrounds is responsible for lost or stolen dogs or equipment. 2. Crating space is provided on a first come, first serve basis. Roping off unused crating space is strictly prohibited and will be removed by the show committee. The show committee reserves the right to require the stacking of crates and any other remedies it may deem necessary for consolidating space. 3. NO ELECTRICAL CORDS allowed in aisles. 4. Exercise pens allowed outdoors only. Pens must be setup on polyethylene sheeting if mats or carpet are not used. Sawdust or comparable absorbent material used to cover the sheeting must be disposed of along with the sheeting when vacating your setup space. 5. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up his (her) own setup area on a daily basis. Remember to bring a broom. 6. Grooming and crating space is available in all buildings and outdoors. 7. Tents may be used outside in designated areas. NO STAKING OF TENTS ALLOWED. 8. Temporary crating of any breed at ringside is allowed only while that breed is being shown and then only if aisle space is greater than 20 wide. This rule will be strictly enforced. 9. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee(s) will be made. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry. There will be a $2.00 fee charged for cancellation of entry prior to closing. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $15.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. THE CLUB AND ITS SHOW SECRETARY will not be responsible for loss or damage to any dog or the possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care, custody, and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the Show premises. The welfare of an exhibitor's child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children at all times. DOGS MAY ARRIVE at any time prior to scheduled time of judging of their class. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Owners or handlers alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. There is no rule of this Club or the AKC that requires a Judge to wait for a dog. CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of the breed is over, and the Show Secretary advised at once. RECORDING & EVENT FEES: A Recording Fee of 50 cents and Event Services Fee of $3.00 and a Rally Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience or Tracking Trial. These fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (AKC Rules, Chapter 11, Section 2.) ATTENTION EXHIBITORS 1. It is a violation of state law to bring alcohol, illegal drugs, and weapons onto the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Any person(s) violating the state law will be escorted off the premises by Fairgrounds security. 2. The show site will be available to exhibitors at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Dogs must be removed from the show site by 8:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2012. 3. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings in accordance with state statute. 4. There will be NO vehicles allowed at any time in any of the show buildings. 5. Food and beverage stands will be available on the show grounds. 6. No food sales by vendors or exhibitors allowed. 7. Water is available at this site. 8. Violations of rules and regulations or inappropriate behavior towards Arizona State Fairgrounds employees, show committee and officials or fellow exhibitors may subject any participant in this event to disciplinary action by the show committee. UNLOADING ZONE Due to the number of exhibitors who have abused the unloading area by leaving their vehicles parked there throughout the day, we must take measures to insure that vehicles are removed within 30 minutes of entering the unloading zone. Upon entering the unloading zone, you will be asked to leave either a $40.00 deposit or your driver s license with the attendant. Upon leaving the area in a timely manner your deposit/license will be returned to you. Vehicles left in the unloading zone after one hour are subject to being towed. Any cash deposit will be forfeited. If a driver s license was left, it will be returned upon payment of a $40.00 fine. Rude or obnoxious behavior towards the attendant will not be tolerated and subject you to disciplinary action. PARKING 1. All exhibitors should enter the Arizona State Fairgrounds at the gate located at 17 th Avenue and McDowell. 2. Day of Show parking is $7.00 per day (Friday thru Monday), per vehicle. If you need to leave the grounds for any reason, have your parking stub stamped at the gate for re-entry without charge. If your parking stub is not stamped you will be charged for parking each time your vehicle comes thru the gate. 3. Four-day parking passes will be sold on site for $14.00 on Wednesday and Thursday. Times and location will be listed in the entry confirmation. 4. Vehicles with Prepaid Reserved Parking will not be charged an additional daily parking fee. 5. Unlimited parking space is available. 6. Parking lots are open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm each day. 7. The person with the handicap license must be present in the vehicle. 8. No set-ups, grooming, x-pens or awnings in Day of Show Parking.
