In that time we have qualified 22 Beardies for the KC Stud Book, 18 of which were home-bred; five have become UK Champions with one holding a dual title UK/Irish. The Bearded Collies we have owned and shown have won a total of 26 CCs and 23 Res CCs to date. Our Beardies have also been campaigned in Ireland where they have won a number of CACIBs, and four have achieved Irish titles. Our most memorable achievements in the show ring have been Best of Breed at Crufts, Group 1 Blackpool Champ Show, overall winner of Welsh Contest of Champions, Welsh Top Puppy, Welsh Top Junior competitions. We have also bred two Bearded Collies that have achieved their Champion titles in Canada. I judged my first classes of Beardies in 1994 and awarded CCs for the first time at Border Union in 2012, then at Birmingham National in 2014 and Midshires in 2016. Overseas I had the honour of judging the Sweepstakes classes at the Bearded Collie Club of Canada Speciality in 2007. In 2012 I was honoured to judge the Bearded Collie Club of Germany Speciality Show and the Norwegian Bearded Collie Club Show in June 2016. I was privileged to be passed to award CCs in Portuguese Water Dogs at Border Union in 2017. I enjoy judging, consider it an honour but also view it as an opportunity to gain further valuable experience and, hopefully, contribute to maintaining the breed's wonderful character and construction for future generations. Our second breed is Skye Terriers and I am on the A3 Judges list. We currently own two with CCs and one is now a Champion. I have attended many seminars in the Working and Pastoral breeds and will continue to do so as I thorougly enjoy judging and view seminars as a valuable learning experience. Bitches - Barry Canty (Bargemon) My wife and I have owned and exhibited Bearded Collies for over thirty years. In that time we have qualified twelve dogs for the Kennel Club Stud Book, owned one Champion, bred another and had numerous JWs, ticket and reserve ticket winners. I have also been involved with the administration and organisation of shows holding the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Steward and Show Manager. I have been stewarding for over twenty years for various Breed Clubs and General Canine Societies at their Open and Championship Shows including Crufts. As a result of all my work and other commitments my judging career has been spread over many years with my first appointment at Open Show level in 1997 culminating in the honour of awarding CCs in Beardies for the first time at Southern Counties Canine Association in 2017. I am really looking forward to judging Bitches at the Club Show, thank the members for their confidence in voting for me and hope you will enjoy the day as much as I know I will.

Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do s and don ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events. When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. 17. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under the Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is not permitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show. 18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered. 19. No modifications will be made to the schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine press wherever possible. 20.
