BREED AND CONFORMATION PRIZES The North Star Terrier Association offers a Terrycloth Hand Towel for Best-of-Breed in each breed and for Highest Scoring in each Obedience class. Terrier Best-in-Match will be awarded a Tote Bag with Dog Treats. All prizes will be awarded in the ring to the person handling the dog. All prizes must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. RESTRICTIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL HANDLERS Professional handlers, their paid assistants and members of their household may only exhibit dogs for which they are an owner of record. Follow County 15 South to 40 th St, then left to fairgrounds GENERAL NOTES FOR EXHIBITORS Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Any dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way will be removed to safety. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, dogs left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip; dogs left in a vehicle without proper ventilation. Anyone intentionally exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way is guilty of mistreatment and subject to discipline by the show committee. Video cameras are permitted at ringside, however no external auxiliary video lighting will be permitted. Parking in designated areas only. No parking on grass or landscaped areas. Vehicles must be moved from the loading/unloading area immediately upon inload/outload. Only AKC registered dogs are allowed on the show grounds. No dogs allowed in restrooms at any time. There will be no smoking on the show grounds. Smoking is prohibited by local ordinance inside any building on the show grounds except in officially designated areas. The entire show facility is a non-smoking area. All dogs and equipment must be removed from the show site immediately following the conclusion of the show. None may be left after the official closing of the show hours.

If, because of riots, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of the management of the hotel or the show giving club, it is impossible to open or to complete this show, no refund of entry fees will be made. The wellbeing of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance, and in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the show committee. There shall be no refund for duplicate entries of the same dog. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when its class is to be judged. The show giving club and show secretary have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system, stewards or runners for the purpose of locating dogs that are not brought to the ring when required. Any entry form corrections, changes, additions, or cancellations must be received in writing prior to the closing of entries and must be signed by the owner or the owner s authorized representative. Any corrections, changes, additions, or cancellations made by telephone or email are not acceptable. Substitutions of a dog require a new completed entry form. Corrections, changes, additions, or cancellations must be legible and must include the AKC registration number of the dog or no refund will be issued. A $4.00 administrative fee will be charged for any entries cancelled before the closing of the show and will be deducted from any refund. There will be no administrative fee for corrections, changes, or additions, except that any additional fees resulting from a change or addition of classes must accompany the change notification. No entry shall be made and none will be accepted that specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. No entry forms will be accepted past the stated closing time and no entry shall be accepted which is not accompanied by acceptable payment. All payments must be in US funds only or drawn on a US financial institution or by international money order payable in US funds. Third party and post-dated checks are not acceptable. A $20.00 processing fee will be levied for returned or NSF checks and must be paid, in cash, before any of the entries paid by the returned item will be allowed into the ring. The dishonored check processing fee will also be required for otherwise valid entries that do not present themselves at the show and are not cancelled as described above. These will be reported to AKC if not paid within 10 days of notification following closing of the show. Exhibitors, owners and their agents assume all responsibility for dogs and equipment on the show site. The show giving club, the show secretary, their agents, employees and assigns assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. Parents are expected to keep their children under control at all times. Violators may be asked to leave the show site and, in so doing, will not be eligible for any refund of entry fees.

Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.). Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies (rough, smooth). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging a this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 7. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 8. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
