We recommend the entrance at 29125 8th Ave S, Roy, WA 98580: Primary Tacoma Polo Club Entrance from 8th Avenue: From the North: From I-5 take exit #127 and go East on Hwy 512 toward Puyallup. Take the Pacific Ave. exit (Hwy 7) and turn right / South. Go South on Pacific Ave. (aka HWY 7) approx. 5 miles to the Roy "Y" and bear right on WA-507/Spanaway McKenna Hwy. (if you see Wal-Mart on the left you have gone too far) Go 1.2 miles and turn left onto 8th Ave S. Continue another 5.2 miles through JBLM property. Just after crossing 288th St S (flashing Yellow light)., turn left into the entrance to the Polo Field on a dirt road marked 29125. Follow dirt road to field. From the South: Take I-5 exit 88A (Tenino exit) and go East on Old HWY 99 / Tenino Grand Mound Rd SW to Yelm. In Yelm, turn right onto E Yelm Ave / WA-507 and follow to McKenna. In McKenna, Turn right onto Hwy 702E /352nd St. Go 5.3 miles to the flashing yellow light and turn left on 8th Ave S. Go approx. 3.5 miles. The Roy Polo Field is down a dirt road in the trees on the right, just before the 288th St. intersection, and marked 29125. Follow dirt road to field. RIBBONS Cascade Coursing Club will offer: QC TESTS: Qualifying Course = Green Ribbon TRIALS: RIBBONS: First = Blue, Second = Red, Third = Yellow, Fourth = White, Fifth = Pink, ROSETTES: Best of Breed = Purple/Gold, Best in Field = Red, White, and Blue. TROPHIES Trophies will be offered for Best of Breed and Best in Field. STAKES OFFERED QUALIFIED COURSER TEST: A hound at least 12 months of age (Qualifying Hound) running with another hound of the same breed or another breed with a similar running style (Testing Hound) shall receive certification from a licensed judge. The hound must complete the course with enthusiasm and without interruption, sufficiently course the lure and not the Testing Hound. The judge will certify that the Qualifying Hound ran cleanly and did not appear to present a hazard to the Testing Hound at any point in the qualifying course. This certification is required to enter a hound in an Open Stake. The handler presenting the Qualifying Hound shall be responsible for providing the Testing Hound for the qualifying course. It is strongly recommended that every Qualifying Hound have been run previously alone and that to the handler s satisfaction runs cleanly and keenly. It is additionally recommended that every Qualifying Hound practices with other hounds prior to being presented for a qualifying courser test. It is to be understood by all that training prior to running a hound with other hounds in competition is essential to ensure that the hound is prepared to run safely with other hounds. OPEN: Open to all hounds that have obtained an AKC Qualified Courser (QC) or ASFA certification course certificate. This requirement will be waived for hounds that have earned a Field Championship title from the American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) or the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). ASFA or CKC Field Champions must submit a copy of their title certificate to the host club when they enter their first AKC Open Stake. This copy must be included when the results of the trial are sent to AKC. Championship points earned from the Open Stake will only count toward a Field Champion title. Hounds that have earned an AKC Field Championship title are not eligible to enter the Open Stake. SPECIALS: Open to all hounds that have earned their AKC Field Championship titles. Championship points earned from the Specials Stake will count toward Lure Courser Excellent (LCX) titles. Qualifying scores earned from the Specials Stake will count toward a Senior Courser (SC) or Master Courser (MC) title. VETERAN: Open to all hounds which are eligible to enter Open or Special stakes and meet the age requirement for a veteran as established by the breed s parent club 6 years of age; except Irish Wolfhounds = 5 years, and Whippets = 7 years. Championship points will be awarded. Points won from the Veteran Stake may count toward either a Field Championship (FC) title or Lure Courser Excellent (LCX) title. BEST IN FIELD: All Best of Breed winners with the exception of Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds shall be eligible to compete for Best in Field. Italian Greyhounds are allowed to run in Best in Field, effective February 1, 2017.

NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS 1. All entries must be one year of age or older on the day of the trial. 2. Stakes will be split by public random draw if the entry in any one stake is sufficient to hold two or more five point majors. 3. In the Trial, all hounds will run twice, in trios if possible, or braces, unless excused, dismissed, or disqualified. 4. Hounds not present at the time of roll call will be scratched after a five (5) minute grace period. Each entry will be examined at inspection for breed disqualifications. Bitches in season and lame hounds will be excused. Entry fee for hounds excused, during inspection, for bitches in season, lameness or breed disqualification shall be refunded. Spayed or neutered hounds, without breed disqualifications, may be entered. 5. Battery powered continuous loop machines will be used. Lure will consist of white plastic bags. Backup equipment will be available. 6. The course will be reversed for the finals and run-offs. 7. The field committee reserves the right to alter the course plan as required by weather and/or field conditions on the day of the trial. 8. THE FIELD COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO BAR KNOWN AGGRESSIVE HOUNDS FROM THE TRIAL SITE. 9. THERE WILL BE A $5 FINE ASSESSED FOR ANY LOOSE HOUND NOT TAKING PART IN THE COURSE IN PROGRESS, OR FOR ANYBODY CAUGHT NOT PICKING UP AFTER THEIR DOG OR LEAVING GARBAGE ON THE FIELD. 10. NO ONE, EXCEPT THE FIELD COMMITTEE, WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE FIELD CHAIRMAN, EXCEPT THE APPOINTED FIELD COMMITTEE. 11. Anybody exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior will be excused from the field and may be subject to further disciplinary action. 12. No cigarette smoking on the field.
