Phone entries close on Wednesday 27th November. Entries after this date will be accepted but will not be listed in the catalogue but will be listed on the results sheets. 3 Exhibits must be staged by 8.45 a.m. on Sunday 1st December prior to judging which will commence at 9.00 a.m. Stewards will be in attendance from 5.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday 30th November and from 8.00 a.m. till 8.45 a.m. on Sunday 1st December to receive birds. 4 All exhibits entrusted to the care of the Committee will be properly looked after and care will be taken to the packing of birds for the return journey, however the Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to the exhibits, cages or cases on their way to, at, or from the show. Entries will only be accepted on these terms. 5 The Committee reserves the right to refuse entries without explanation. 6 The Management Committee are pleased to advise that a Licence has been obtained to permit the show to go ahead. See DEFRA regulations on page 4. 7 Exhibitors may state a price at which their exhibit can be sold but, if so desired, may be marked N.F.S. on their entry form. The Sales Office will open at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 1st December. Birds will be sold on a first come basis. No birds will be sold or reserved prior to this time. Only one bird can be purchased per visit. You must return to the rear of the queue if further purchases are required. The Committee shall deduct 10% of the selling price. No exhibit shall be disposed of privately within the exhibition hall or car park 8 Lifting time for all exhibits will be 3.30 p.m. on Sunday 1st December unless difficult weather conditions prevail. In which case the management committee will advise on the uplift time. This rule will be strictly adhered to. 9 Any protest must be in writing accompanied by a fee of 5.00 and must be lodged with the Show Secretary before 2.30 p.m. on 1st December. Such protests will be considered by the management committee. If the protest is not upheld the fee will be forfeited. Birds should not be submitted for entry if there is concern on their general health (soft) at the time of check in. It is a condition of the Licence that the BFCC has a vet on standby to examine any bird showing symptoms of illness. It is in every ones interest to minimise this possibility. Therefore, any bird showing symptoms will be refused entry. 14 3
IMPORTANT Please read and follow carefully VICTORIA ROSETTES Due to the current Avian Flu situation, this show is being held under General Licence and the following Conditions apply. ALL information requested on our entry form MUST be completed in full. Failure to do so will result in the NON-ACCEPTANCE of your entry. DEFRA REGULATIONS All birds being exhibited will be VISUALLY examined by a show official and any found to be unwell will not be accepted into the show. Any bird falling ill during the show will be removed to a separate room and contact will be made with the officiating vet. BIRD SALES The Club is required to retain a record of all bird sales at this event for a period of 3 months. This information will include:- Name, Address and Telephone numbers of both Buyer and Seller and all identifying features or individual identification of the purchased bird(s). Buyers must isolate any purchased bird(s) from their current stock (except those purchased at the same event) for at least one week. Should any signs of ill health be observed in the purchased bird(s) during this period this must be reported to a veterinary surgeon and such birds must NOT be mixed with any other birds until the presence of an Avian Modifiable Disease has been ruled out.
