Zoonotic diseases in humans: imported cases These are human cases diagnosed with a zoonotic disease through exposure that occurred before entering your country Inclusion of these cases, while encouraged in principle, depends on your national legislation 11

Animal population: objective Collect information on the number of animals and establishments to analyse the susceptible animal population in countries for the reporting year 13

Animal population: how to determine animal populations? Annual official measurement Less frequent measurement Estimations Information is more accurate by administrative division 14

Animal population: recent changes Focus on high annual throughput livestock Sub categories to improve data specificity: Birds Broilers Layers Other commercial poultry Backyard Pigs Commercial Backyard 15

National Reference laboratories: objective To provide information on national reference laboratories and their diagnostic capabilities for various diseases Information useful for countries with limited diagnostic capabilities 21

National Reference laboratories Information on laboratories is automatically transferred from the previous annual report to the next Do not delete the current information on labs and contacts, only add new or additional information 22
