1 Steve Crow Surrey & Sussex Show Report 17 th March 2018 Many thanks to Kym and both club s committees for the invitation to judge, a very pleasant hotel and a lovely dinner the evening before set us up for show day. I had a very enjoyable day judging supported by Sharon Lee who stewarded for me with care and attention, many thanks Sharon. Olympian Adult, Female: Four girls entered. OLYMPIAN. MILLER'S UK IMP GR CH PASHTAN VAVAVOOM. Lilac Tortie Siamese. 14/02/2016. A very attractive, mature and stylish girl showing good overall type. Body is long, svelte and well balanced, of very good weight and substance and feeling firm and muscular with elegant bone-structure, slender long neck, gently rounded chest and elegant long slender legs and ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms a long wellproportioned wedge, narrowing in straight lines to a fine gently rounded muzzle of good strength. Large wide based ears are of very good shape with good width between, held pricked and forming a good balanced triangle in conjunction with her head. Expressive eyes of very good size are oriental in shape and set well apart and slanting towards the nose; colour is a clear, deep, quite vivid sapphire blue. In profile brow is just very slightly flattened, curving above the eyes to lead into profileline to nose, which is nice and straight, chin is level, of quite good depth and firm. Coat is fine, quite short and very close lying, feeling smooth and silky in texture and displaying a gleaming shine. Mask, ears, all four legs and feet, and tail are a warm pinkish lilac intermingled with cool-toned medium cream, points contrast with pale magnolia tone on body overlaid with even shading in predominately warm pale lilac with some pale cream. Tail is long and tapers evenly to fine tip, length balances nicely. Sweet natured, slightly shy girl shown in superb condition, a pleasure to judge. I understand this makes her an Olympian Bronze, congratulations! Res OLYMPIAN. CHAPMAN-BEER'S OS IMP GR CH TRIBUNE HUFFLEPUFF. Blue Tortie Burmese. Mature and very attractive girl, feminine and of good overall type, looking nicely finished. Balanced well-filled body is lithe, firm and muscular, of very good weight and substance with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender well-shaped legs ending in neat oval feet in proportion. Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with gently rounded top between well- spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape. Large lustrous palish chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering expression. Very slight curve to brow, very good break, straight nose is short, chin is just level and of fairly good depth. Lovely fine, quite short coat lies very close to the body and has a smooth satin-like texture, in super condition with a glossy shine. Tortie colours of warm soft medium blue grey intermingled with slightly warm medium cream, good silvery edges to head, ears and limbs. Tail is a touch thin in shape overall, tapering evenly to fine paintbrush tip, length just balances. Contented, sweet natured girl, very easy to handle and showed well. FAY'S GR CH REVERELF WILLIS OF FAERYDA. Lilac Colourpoint Devon Rex. 22/08/2017. Handsome young man, suitably mature for eighteen months old, looking masculine and of very pleasing type. Long sleek and very slender body is rather lean, of acceptable weight and feeling firm and well-muscled but I d like much more substance. He body is a good size with straight back and quite broad gently rounded chest, but looks out of balance at present, elegant well shaped slender legs end in compact oval paws. Head forms short broad wedge with good width to high cheeks, very slightly pointed in the muzzle, which is of good breadth with defined whisker break and short curled whiskers. Quite large wide based ears are of good shape and spaced well apart, set fairly low, although ideally could be a little lower still, muffs at ear bases and tiny tufts at tips. Large lustrous rounded almond shaped eyes are pale blue in colour and set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical wicked expression. In profile flat skull curves forward at brow, good stop, short straight nose, chin is almost level and of fairly good depth. Well covered is fine silky coat, quite dense with good curl to hairs giving regular even small waves on back, sides and flanks, ripples across shoulders and down legs, ripples down chest and on back of neck, rexing on head, tummy is well covered with some rexing to short hairs, looser waves along tail. Showing in very good condition and well presented. Tail is of good shape and is a good length to balance. Calm, contented and very good natured boy, who showed himself to advantage. Sorry to withhold today, I like his type and he has a very good coat, but he is so lean as to be almost thin. Hopefully he will gain some more weight and fill-out in his body as he matures further, this will improve his overall look and balance and I m sure he will then compete successfully at this level. Section 4 Imperial Grand Champion, Female: One girl entered. IMP GCC. TREACHER'S GR CH SALUAY SAENG LALI SAWAN. Korat. 26/05/2017. Very attractive young lady, looking mature for her age, feminine and showing very pleasing type. Balanced semi cobby body is of medium size and of very good weight and substance for size, feeling firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and elegant slender well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Balanced heart shaped face is of good proportions with quite broad flat forehead, good width to cheeks and good breadth and strength to gently rounded muzzle. Large broad based ears are of good shape, spaced well apart yet held correctly slightly high to give alert stance. Lovely large luminous eyes are of very good shape, held full and well open and set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical expression, good clear green around pupils with slightly warmer yellow cast to outer edges of irises at present, she is relatively young and colour is developing nicely. In profile has good
3 depth of skull, slight stop, straight nose slopes down; chin rounds back very slightly and is of fairly good depth. Fine close-lying coat is smooth and silky in texture, in super condition with a gleaming shine. Even slightly dark blue-grey colour is even in tone and shows good silver tipping to head, ears, limbs and body; a few very faint ghost rings on tail. Tail is heavier at the base and tapers to finer tip, length just balances. Lively, inquisitive and very good natured girl who showed well. Section 4B Grand Champion, Female: One girl entered. GCC. SIMMS' CH ROGUS MILLYMOLLYMANDI. Lilac Self Devon Rex. 24/04/2018. Attractive young lady, not long adult and looking mature for her age, very feminine and of very pleasing type. Long slender body is of medium size and very good weight for size, good substance and feeling firm and muscular with broad gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head shows short broad wedge with good width to high cheeks and nice breadth and strength to muzzle, defined whisker-break and crinkled whiskers. Quite large wide based ears are of good shape, spaced well apart and set quite low, could be a touch lower for perfection, muffs at ear bases and tiny tufts at tips. Large rounded almond shaped eyes are set wide apart and at a slight slant, she can hold them a touch full at times, good typical expression when she is settled and relaxed. Flat skull curves forward at brow, good stop, short straight nose and level chin of quite good depth. Well covered with fine silky coat which is quite dense, gently curl to hairs gives regular quite shallow waves I can just feel on sides of body and flanks, board spine line is almost straight, very loose ripples down chest, ripples at tops of legs, plush lower down, rexing on head and back of neck, looser waves on tail, down on underparts. Shown in super condition with a healthy shine to her coat. Tail tapers evenly to finer tip and length just balances. A little apprehensive out on the table and swore now and then with nerves, happy back in her bed and good natured there. Usual Abyssinian Adult: One girl entered. 1CC & BOB. MUSPRATT S SHARAVI UNDINA. 29/11/2017. Pretty young lady who is developing well and suitably mature for almost sixteen months, feminine and of pleasing type. Slender lithe body is of good size and very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval feet in proportion. Head forms modified wedge with gently rounded contours, good width to cheeks and breadth to gently rounded muzzle. Very large broad based ears are well cupped and of good shape, spaced well apart and held pricked and alert, at present they are so large that they do tend to rather dominate her head, hopefully they will balance a little better as she matures fully. Large rounded almonds shaped eyes are a rich golden yellow in colour, set wide and in an oriental set to give typical expression. Slight curve to brow, gentle break, straight nose and level chin of fairly good depth. Fine coat is short and lies close to the body, feeling quite dense with some resilience coming in on her lower back, in superb condition and displaying a
4 glossy shine. Well defined ticking is evenly distributed over a rich ruddy orange base, good depth to ticking and lovely vibrant colour, chest is clear of any necklace, just a few faint short marks on the inside of her forelegs, pale cream chin extends onto upper throat, white around lips. Tail is thick at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length balances. A rather feisty girl, not difficult to handle but swore loudly. Korat Adult, Male: One boy entered. 1CC. HARDING-BROWN'S SALUAY MAE BARELLI LACE. 26/05/2017. Handsome young man or very good size who is suitably mature for almost twenty-two months, masculine in appearance and of pleasing type. Semi-cobby body is of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and slender well-shaped legs ending in compact oval paws. Heart-shaped face has good width to cheeks and sufficient breadth to gently rounded muzzle, I d like just a little more strength here which may come with full maturity; forehead is broad and flat. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape, spaced well apart yet held correctly slightly high when he is alert and attentive. Large expressive luminous eyes are of very good shape and held full and well open, quite clear medium green in colour, and set wide apart and at a slight slant. Slight stop, which could be a bit better defined, straight nose slopes downwards, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Coat is short, fine and very closelying with a smooth and silky in texture, in super condition with a gleaming shine. Even slight dark blue grey colour shows a good silvery tipping to head, ears, body and limbs; a few faint ghost rings on tail. Tail is heavier at the base and tapers evenly to finer tip, length is short to balance. A shy boy, gentle and good natured. Korat Adult, Female: One girl entered, plus one girl to be considered for Best of Breed only. 1CC. CHERKAS' JUSARKA APHRODITE. 27/05/2018. Pretty girl, just adult and maturing well, feminine and showing pleasing to very pleasing type. Medium size to compact semi-cobby body, balanced and of very good weight and substance, gently rounded chest and slim elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval feet. Heart-shaped face is of good proportions with good width to cheeks, flattish forehead is quite broad. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape and spaced well apart yet held correctly slightly high to give alert stance. Large luminous eyes are of very good shape, held full and well open and set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical expression, colour is still developing with good clear green around pupils, just slight warmer yellowish cast to outer part of the irises. Slight stop, straight nose slopes downwards, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Fine coat lies close to the body and has a smooth silky texture, in super condition with a glossy shine. Even quite dark blue grey colour shows good silvery sheen to head, ears, limbs and around shoulders. Tail is heavier at the base and tapers evenly to tip, just short to balance. 5 Russian Blue Kitten: One girl entered. 1 & BOB. COOPER'S GOLUBOI KOROLYEVA FELITSIYA. Attractive girl, well developed and of very good size for seven months and of very pleasing type. Long slender body is gracefully, a little lean, especially in the flanks but of good enough weight and feeling firm and muscular, gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head shows short wedge of good proportions with lovely firm prominent whisker-pad. Large broad based ears are of good shape with pointed tips, held almost completely vertical to her head and looking tall. Almond shaped eyes are of very good size and set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical expression, green colour is developing around the pupils, warm yellow cast to outer edges of irises at present. Forehead is almost straight, slight angle visible above the eye-ridge, slight dip in profile line to nose, chin is just level and of quite good depth. Fine double coat is of medium length, quite dense and soft plush texture is already developing nicely. Even soft medium blue grey colour has good silvery sheen visible on head, ears, body and limbs; a few ghost rings visible on tail. Tail is of good shape and length just balances. Alert, gentle and good natured and showed herself to advantage, a promising girl who I look forward to seeing again Korat Neuter: One girl to be considered for Best of Breed only. BOB to CHERKAS S IMP GR CH & OB IMP GR PR JUSARKA THAI LILAC PROMISE. 26/6/2007. A lovely girl, mature and nicely finished and showing good overall type. Well balanced semi-cobby body is compact and of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped limbs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head shows balanced heart-shaped face with very good width across cheeks and good breadth and strength to gently rounded muzzle, forehead is broad and flat. Long slender balanced body is well-filled, lithe and of very good with weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with level back, correctly rounded chest and slender well shaped legs ending in compact oval paws in proportion. Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with slightly rounded top between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape. Large lustrous warm rich yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering expression. In profile has very gentle curve to brow, very good break, straight nose is short, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Coat is of medium length, fine and silky and lying flat to the body and flowing down sides to form good fringing to lower edges of body, distinct ruff frames face and well-furnished tail, which forms a plume. Shown in superb condition and displaying a gleaming shine. Mantle of medium shading in rich medium cool-toned cream is evenly distributed over a lovely sparkling silver base, good matt finish to cream with powdered effect visible on forehead and ears, faint smudges on knees and elbows, very attractive makings on face. Tail tapers evenly to tip and length just balances body. Talkative, friendly boy and very good natured. Exhibit with Critique: One girl to be considered. NICHOLS S QUINCUNX JENNY GENTEN. LH Lilac Karpati LaPerm with Tonkinese Colour Restriction. Attractive young lady, developing well, still looking a little adolescent but of very pleasing type. Slender long body is of very good weight and substance for its medium size, firm and muscular with good foreign boning. Gently rounded chest and slender well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms modified wedge of good proportions with rounded contours, nicely padded slightly prominent whisker pads
7 and long curled whiskers. Medium to medium large broad based ears are of good shape and spaced well apart, curly inner furnishings and tiny tufts at tips. Large rounded almond shaped eyes are set wide apart and at a slight slant, very pleasing expression. Slight curve to brow, gentle break, straight nose, chin is level and of quite good depth. Good coat of medium length with gentle curl to hairs, random and unstructured and lifts away from the body to give unkempt appearance. Texture is quite soft with a little bounce, slightly harsher texture on lower back, slight ruff, fairly well-developed plume. In super condition and well presented. Tail is of good shape, tapering evenly to tip and length just balances. A calm, contented girl, good natured and showed well.
