JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP (Offered AM Show Only) Novice Open Masters Novice Class - for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who at the time entries close have not won 3 first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Class - for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who at the time entries close have won 3 first place awards with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Masters Class - for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who at the time entries close have won 10 first place awards in an Open Class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. NOTICE: Juniors who substitute for the original dog they have entered in the Junior Showmanship classes with a dog that is not entered in one of the offered classes at this show must remit the Junior Show only entry fee with their substitution. Juniors who win a third Novice Class with competition present may transfer their entry into the Open Class provided that the transfer is made at the Show Secty s desk at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. BOXER PUPPY JUNIOR SWEEPSTAKES Entry Fee is $20.00 AM show only. All entries in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a regular class in the AM show. Entries shall be made at the same time on the same entry form used for the regular class. Sweepstakes and age division must be indicated in the space for Additional Classes on the official AKC entry form. This Sweepstakes is open to all Boxers who, on the day of the show, will be 6 months and under 18 months of age. Sweepstakes classes will be judged prior to the regular breed classes. The competition will be divided as follows: PUPPY CLASSES: Puppy Dogs & Bitches 6-9 mos. Puppy Dogs & Bitches 9-12 mos. JUNIOR CLASSES: Dogs & Bitches 12-18 mos. The BEST PUPPY shall compete against the BEST JUNIOR, and the winner shall be designated GRAND SWEEPSTAKES WINNER. Thirty-five percent (35%) of total receipts will be retained by the Club for expenses. Sixty-five percent (65%) of total receipts is to be divided among the winners as specified: Sixty percent (60%) of the sixty-five percent (65%) will be divided equally among the winners of each class. Forty percent (40%) of the sixty-five percent (65%) will be divided as follows: BEST PUPPY 25% - BEST JUNIOR 25% - GRAND SWEEPSTAKES 50% Cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person handling the dog, which will be considered the rightful recipient of the award. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the Sweepstakes judging is over. The show-giving club disclaims any liability for cash prizes after judging is complete. Any prize money allocated but not awarded shall be returned to the Club treasury. 4

Furthermore, if the rescue has to be performed by virtue of negligence, the owner, agent or any other person responsible for the rescued animal WILL be subjected to a Bench Show Hearing, as approved by the rules of the AKC. 10

Telephoned and telegraphed entries are not accepted. All changes and cancellations must be received in writing prior to closing, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the American Kennel Club Dog Show rules. THlS SHOW is governed by The American Kennel Club. Exhibitors should read the AKC agreement on the back side of the entry blank in this Premium List. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC E NTRY FORMS and Photocopies of entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO ENTRY CAN BE ACCEPTED that specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Telegraph or unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of errors after closing date. ENTRY CONFIRMATIONS & JUDGING PROGRAMS will be e-mailed to all entrants who provide email addresses. All others will be mailed by the USPS. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except w hen being judged or when in the exercising ring. There is no provision for unentered dogs at this show. THE BOXER CLUB OF ARIZONA may decline entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or any other cause. No one shall have any claim or recourse against he Club or any official thereof. ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, barred from competition by action of the Bench Show Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it becomes impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry. There will be a $2.00 fee charged for cancellation of entry prior to closing of entries. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Show Secretary will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. THE CLUB, ITS SHOW SECRETARY and Prescott Valley Event Center will not be responsible for the loss of or injury to any dog or the possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the Show premises. And, in addition, no responsibility will be assumed for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an owner, exhibitor, handler or spectator. The welfare of an exhibitor's child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children at all times. DOGS MAY ARRIVE at any time prior to scheduled time of judging of their class. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Owners or handlers alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. There is no rule of this Club or the AKC that requires a Judge to wait for a dog. TROPHIES AND CLASS CASH PRIZES will be awarded in the judging ring to the person showing the dog. In the event of any discrepancy from the published prize list, the Show Chairman should be advised at once. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. RECORDING & EVENT FEES: A Recording Fee of 50 per dog and an Event Services Fee of $3.00 will be required for each entry at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. These fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (AKC Rule, Ch 11, Sec 2) TRANSFER OF ENTRY TO BEST OF BREED: Dogs which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for the Show but whose Championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one-half hour prior to the start of the earliest conformation judging at the Show. 11
