Overnight deliveries must have the signature waived box checked. Entries close Monday, August 1, 2016 at 5pm EST or when entry limits have been met. Entries are LIMITED to 60 tests. Test Site Hours: 8:30am to end of testing. Details regarding check in time and briefing will be sent approximately 1 week before the ORT.

There will be no crating indoors. Dogs must be crated in your car until they are being tested. The parking lot is paved asphalt. There is NO shade so please bring shade and water for your dogs. There are indoor bathroom facilities. All dogs must be on a 6 leash at all times when not being tested. No flexi-leashes for walking dogs on test site grounds; flexis may be used in the test itself. Entry Requirements The handler of the dog must be a current member of the NACSW. The Dog must be registered with the NACSW. For information on how to register or become a member go to www.nacsw.net Trial Eligibility and ORTs Entry Fee and Second Dog Policy $30 Entry fee per odor / per dog. We will be able to accommodate 2 dogs per handler. Bitches in season must run in pants and will run at the end of the day. Closing Date Monday August 1, 2016 5pm EST Overnight mail entries must have the signature request waived. Waitlist In the event the maximum entries of 60 are reached, the secretary will maintain a waitlist. Participants will be listed based on a first come entry basis. Participants will be notified of a testing slot when the secretary is informed of cancellations. If you do not want to wait or no longer desire a slot, please inform the Test Secretary at ashbrookeweims@yahoo.com so the next person on the list can be contacted. Check and Refund Policy Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $35 service charge for returned checks. Refunds requests after the closing date will only be accepted if a dog is injured or ill, and the request is accompanied by a veterinary note. ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by the NACSW official or judge. Video/Photography Policy ORT participants are allowed to have a friend or family member video/photograph their test. ORT participants are not allowed to video/photograph one another. ORT hosts are not obligated to provide someone to video/photograph.

Directions to Test Site From Northern New Jersey: Route 80 East to Route 287 South to Exit 35, Madison Avenue. Top of exit ramp turn right onto Madison Avenue, get in left lane and turn left at light onto South Street. Go over 287 overpass to next light; go through light and make first left onto Woodland Avenue. St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is located 2-3 miles down on the left. From Southern New Jersey: Route 287 North to Exit 35 Madison Avenue. At the top of exit ramp turn right onto South Street. Make first left onto Woodland Avenue. St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is located 2-3 miles down on the left. From Western New Jersey: Route 124 East through the center of Morristown. At traffic light after King's Supermarket (on right), go STRAIGHT on South Street. Go over 287 overpass to next light; go through light and make first left onto Woodland Avenue. St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is located 2-3 miles down on the left. From Eastern New Jersey: Route 78 West to Route 24 West. Follow signs for 24 West toward Chatham. Take Exit 7A - Route 124/Chatham (second exit); Short Hills Mall is on the right. Follow Route 124 West through downtown Madison and Madison. At the end of Madison, bear left under railroad bridge. Continue past Drew University (on left). Turn left at light onto Loantaka Way. Go to next traffic light and turn right onto Woodland Avenue. St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is down the hill on the right, past the Giralda Farms office complex gatehouse. TEST Information - Notice to Exhibitors. THE TEST SITE will be open from 8:30am until the ORT is completed CHECK-IN: 8:30am Details regarding check in time and briefing will be sent approximately 1 week before the ORT. Score books are optional and are not required to participate in an ORT. They are for personal record keeping. If you have lost a scorebook or would like a replacement, you can request a replacement score book that will include all your prior NACSW results. Log in to your account at: http://www.nacsw.net and under the "My Account" section, go to "My Dogs" and choose the option to order a replacement score book there. The cost is $20. NO SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED IN THE SEARCH AREA during the ORT except NACSW officials, adults accompanying a minor, CNWI-in-training, or immediate family members/friends of the dog/handler team currently being tested. ENTRIES: TELEPHONE, FAX, UNSIGNED ENTRIES, AND ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT FEES cannot be accepted. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. A charge of $35.00 will be made for each returned check. ENTRIES MUST BE MADE ON THE ATTACHED ENTRY FORM. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED, WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE. OWNERS are responsible for errors in making out entry forms. EXPRESS MAIL entries must include signature permitting them to be left at the secretary s address without recipient s signature. DOGS PRESENT will not be permitted to roam. Exhibitors are responsible for the behavior of their dogs. The owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready when it is to be judged. Be prepared to keep your dog in your car when not being tested or on leash at all times. There is no inside crating at this test. FEMALES IN SEASON Contact your test host at least 1 day before the ORT if this becomes a possibility DOGS PARTICIPATING in ORT must be at least six months of age and must appear to be healthy on trial day and should be current on all vaccinations required by law. Acknowledgement of entry acceptance/confirmation will be made when entries are processed for those handlers that provide an email address. If you require a confirmation via USPS, you must provide a self-addressed stamped envelope with your entry. BASIC DESCRIPTION OF TEST to successfully pass an ORT a dog must identify the location of the target odor and the handler must correctly call an alert within a three-minute time period. The Odor Recognition Test consists of a drill type exercise which requires 12 closed boxes set up in a pattern of one or two rows spaced a minimum of 48 apart. The ORT is conducted on leash.
