ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian Dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques or cash will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out in the full amount of the entry listed in the premium and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not send personal cheques marked Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. Postdated cheques will not be accepted. You may also purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in CANADIAN FUNDS or charge your fees to a MC or VISA account. MC and VISA charges will be processed in Canadian dollars with an additional 10% added to the total cost for this service. Your cooperation is appreciated. A dog which has earned its CD title in the US is not eligible for entry in the Novice A class and a dog which has earned its CDX title in the US is not eligible for the Open A class. Such dogs must be entered in the B class respectively. Dogs with an American ILP number are NOT eligible for entry at CKC Obedience Trials, but may be eligible for a PEN # or MCN#. These numbers must be obtained before entering any Trials. Spayed and neutered dogs are eligible for entry at CKC Obedience Trials. Effective January 1, 1992, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will no longer require a CKC registration number, but will require an Event Registration Number (ERN). This ERN number does not register a dog with the CKC for breeding purposes as defined in the Animal Pedigree Act, but rather enables a foreign born and foreign owned dog to be awarded titles by the Canadian Kennel Club. Each dog must have its own number. GENERAL INFORMATION Show precincts shall be the interior and parking lot of the Canine Development Club trial building. The Trial Superintendent will be in full charge of the trial, which will be governed by CKC rules. The Northwestern Ontario Working Dog Association and the Trial Committee will use care and diligence for the welfare of all dogs, exhibitors, and spectators, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune, however caused. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of management, it is not possible to open or to complete the trials, no refund of entry fees will be made. Refunds will be made when a bitch entered in Obedience comes into season after entries close, if a Veterinarian s certificate is delivered to the Trial Secretary on or before the date of the trial. Entry fees will not be refunded should a dog be absent, sick, lame or excused by a Veterinarian, Judge or Trial Superintendent. It is the responsibility of the exhibitors to have the dog at ringside when the dog s class is scheduled for judging. Waiting for dogs will not be possible. The exhibitor is responsible for knowing and complying with the Dog Show rules of the CKC. Dogs cannot be kenneled overnight in the Trial Building. It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that the judge, club official, ring steward, volunteer, or competitor at an Obedience Trial held under these regulations is not subject to indignities of any kind. EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS AT HOTELS/MOTELS AND THE SHOW SITE. ANY VIOLATION COULD RESULT IN A SHOW COMMITTEE HEARING AND/OR SUSPENSION OF EXHIBITORS PRIVILEGES. ENTRY INFORMATION No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full. Handlers and Agents please note the full name and address of all owners must be filled in. Incomplete entries will be returned. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by the Entry Fee. Telephone entries cannot be accepted, except in the event of a postal disruption. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. Change or cancellation of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. Only dogs, which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for such registration, can be entered. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC rules. Any NSF cheques or credit cards will be subject to a 20.00 service charge. Entry fee, plus service charge must be paid in cash prior to competing. ***Exhibitors will receive identification cards and a judging schedule as soon as possible after entries close, by Mail, Fax, or e-mail. Exhibitors must identify the form in which they wish I.D. and judging schedule to be sent. Armband numbers can be picked up at the Trial Secretary table.
