St. Croix Rat Pack Barn Hunt Trial March 29, 30 and 31, 2019 2 Rings For The Love of Dogs/The Dog Tank 2415 Pilot Knob Road Mendota Heights, MN 55120 This Trial will be held in an indoors, heated facility on a matted surface with a tarp. There is crating space indoors. Because the flooring in one of the crate area uses Great Mats, please bring a thick mat or blanket to put under your crate and chair. You may also crate in your vehicle. NOTICE: WE HAVE A DESIGNATED AREA FOR POTTYING YOUR DOG. ANY EXHIBITORS FAILING TO USE THE DESIGNATED AREA CAN BE FINED AND YOU COULD BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS, NO REFUNDS GIVEN. PARKING: We have parking directly in front of the building and overflow parking just to the right of the building as you face it, up the hill. Please do not park on the south (left as you face the building) side of the building as those parking areas belongs to other tenants. Open to all breeds and mixed breeds. Trial entry limits: Friday: 40 runs per day or 4.5 hours of judging time per judge Saturday/Sunday: 120 runs per day or 8 hours of judging time per judge Pre-entry fees: $15 for Instinct, $20 for Novice and Open, $25 for Senior and Master, $20 for Crazy 8 s. Entries received after early entry date: $20 for Instinct, $25 for Novice and Open, $30 for Senior and Masters, $25 for Crazy 8 s. Maximum of 10 entries per envelope. Entries received before opening date will be shredded. Move ups from another event can be made up until 24 hours prior to the start of the trial. Day of Show entries: If we don t fill, we will take Day of Show entries from 12 PM to 12:15 pm on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM from (if you want to make a trial secretary happy, email her with your dog s info ahead of time). Check BHA s website or our St. Croix Rat Pack Face Page for updates on if any Trials have closed. Registration opens February 14, 2019. Entries at the above fees will be accepted in the order received until closing date of March 18, 2019, at 8:00 pm with the Trial Secretary or until the maximum entry limit is reached. If the trial does not fill with pre-entries, late entries will be accepted until limits are met. Entries post-marked after the closing date must pay late entry prices. A wait list will be maintained after the trial fills. If you think that you will earn a major title (RATCH or above) during the trial, please let the secretary know so that we can be prepared with awards. AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded for first through fourth place in Novice, Open, Senior, and Master classes in each height division. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded for all qualifiers in the classes, including instinct. New Title Ribbons will be awarded to those who qualify, excluding Instinct. RATCH rosettes will be awarded. The B classes will be awarded ribbons for first through fourth with the heights combined. Crazy 8s rosettes will be awarded for Bronze through Platinum levels. Barn Hunt LLC Rules can be obtained online in the form of a PDF file at http://barnhunt.com * Dogs are required to have a Barn Hunt Registration number to show in a Barn Hunt Trial. Register your dog one line at www.barnhunt.com. Allow at least 48 hours to receive a Barn Hunt number. Handlers are responsible for entering and writing legibly the correct Barn Hunt number for their dog on the entry form. An incorrect number may result in any legs earned being forfeited. Food & Drinks There will be a lunch break at the judge s discretion. Water and soda will be available. Lunch is on your own, there are several restaurants nearby. Judges and Volunteers will have lunch provided. Volunteers: We need your help! All tasks are simple and we will train you! You get free lunch. There will be a daily Volunteer Raffle Basket. There will be sign up sheets at check-in and you can also sign up if you register for the trial online. We especially need people who can stay at the end of each day to help with change over and tear down. Direction to the trial site: Take 494 to Pilot Knob Road in Mendota Heights. Turn north on Pilot Knob Road and the building is at the corner of Pilot Knob Road and Mendota Heights Road at the stop light.

Dogs will be run in height order, dogs being handled by the same person will be separated into different staged groups. Height divisions: Small Dogs 13 and under, Medium Dogs 13.1-18, Large Dogs over 18. Accommodations that accept well behaved dogs: We have arranged for a special rate of $89.00 per night for a double or king size room with the Best Western Dakota Plus Dakota Ridge and they will waive the dog fee. It is two miles from the trial location. You must call the hotel directly at 651-452-0100 and ask for the For The Love of Dogs rate. The hotel is located at 3450 Washington Dr., Eagan, MN 55122. Go to www.bringfido.com to find information on other dog friendly lodging and other businesses. Exhibitor Information: All entries must be accompanied by entry fees and signed to be valid. A returned check does not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks. Make check payable to For The Love of Dogs. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: o For cancellation of entries on or before the closing date of March 18, 2019: Full refund minus 5% processing fee. For cancellation of entries after March 18, 2019 no refunds will be issued unless a replacement entry is available from the wait list, and there will be a 5% processing fee. o Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate and legible information on entry forms; illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered in the trial. o All cancellations must be emailed to mnwik9trials@gmail.com

o o o Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by the BHA official or judge. Refunds are available for injured, deceased dogs. Notification must be made to the trial chairman/secretary within 30 minutes before the start of the test. No part of the fee will be refunded if the trial cannot take place or be completed by reason of fire, civil disturbances, an Act of God, public emergency, or any other cause beyond the control of the trial organizers. Parking: You may park in the main parking and the auxiliary parking area. THERE IS NO STREET PARKING ALLOWED. PLEASE SEE THE PHOTO BELOW FOR PARKING AND POTTY AREAS. There is NO SMOKING OR VAPING in this facility or on the grounds. If you must smoke or vape, you will need to do so inside your vehicle and dispose of the butts in the vehicle as well. Dogs must be ON LEASH at ALL times unless they are in the ring. Dog exercise area: Please use the designated exercise area and pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in appropriate containers in the exercise area. Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Trial Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement per BHA requirements. Parking Parking Potty Area Collars and Leashes: Dogs may not be brought to the line in any disallowed collar. Dogs may not be brought to the start box on flexi-leads. Approved collars include flat snap or buckle collars of solid construction and leather or nylon leads. Limited slip martingale collars are allowed. Dogs MUST run naked, without a collar/harness. Dogs should be brought to the ring with collars/harnesses which can be easily and quickly removed and replaced. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring. Bitches in season are eligible for entry but will be required to be kept separate from all other dogs and will be run in panties at the end of the class. Review the Barn Hunt rules for other details. If bringing a bitch in season, please inform the trial committee prior to the trial, and you must inform all exhibitors at the judge s briefing.

Loud/Disruptive Dogs: Dogs that are loud and disruptive may be asked to locate away from the rings/crating area and/or staged away from the other dogs getting ready to compete. Any dog behaving in a threatening or aggressive manner toward another dog or a person may be dismissed from the trial if justification is found to do so by the judge and/or trial committee. Terrier sparring is not allowed on trial grounds. Any dog that is sick, injured or lame will be excused from the trial grounds. Judging Assignments: Any of the Judges of Record for this event may be used to judge any of the classes at this event, at the discretion of the Club, under the rule provisions for Load Balancing, Relief Judging and Splitting. Qualifying scores are assigned to the official Judge of Record for that class. Crating should be secure. Dogs can get excited at Barn Hunt events. Dogs must be securely crated at all time or with owner on a leash. Dogs may not be left unattended outside of a secure crate.

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death, at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may be caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any persons.
